The highly anticipated film King, starring Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan, is set to begin production early next year. This action-packed thriller, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand, promises to redefine the genre with its epic storytelling and stunning visuals. As reported earlier, the film will see Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan in the roles of mentor and protégé navigating the dangerous world of the underworld. Their journey will be fraught with challenges and confrontations, culminating in an epic showdown with the antagonist played by Abhishek Bachchan.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, sources close to the production, the first schedule of King will commence in Mumbai in January 2025. Following this, the cast and crew will embark on a lengthy shooting schedule in Europe. The makers have meticulously scouted out breathtaking locations across the continent to create a visually stunning backdrop for the film. “The first schedule of King commences in Mumbai in January, followed by a marathon schedule in Europe. The makers have done multiple rounds of recce in Europe to identify virgin locations that bring scale to King. The film features SRK in the titular role with Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, and Abhishek Bachchan,” revealed a source.

King is expected to be a visually spectacular film, with the makers aiming to establish a new standard for action sequences in Indian cinema. Shah Rukh Khan is particularly excited about taking on this challenging role and pushing the boundaries of his acting abilities. “The idea is to shoot the action at real locations as also the studio set up, to bring in the right blend of realism to the story-telling pattern. The makers aim to establish a new form of action with Shah Rukh Khan in King, and the superstar is also excited to venture into this territory,” the source informed.

The film is scheduled to wrap up production by August or September of next year, allowing for a thorough post-production process. The makers are aiming for a grand release on Eid 2026, a date that holds significant importance for Shah Rukh Khan, who last graced the festival with the blockbuster hit Chennai Express.

Beyond King, Siddharth Anand’s production house, Marflix, has an ambitious slate of projects in the pipeline. These include the Robbie Grewal-directed Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter starring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat, the highly anticipated superhero franchise Krrish 4 starring Hrithik Roshan, and an untitled action film directed by Rohan Khambati. Additionally, Marflix has secured the rights to adapt the iconic action hero Rambo for the Indian audience.

Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, will star in a highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Pathaan. The film, which is currently in development, promises to be another thrilling addition to the YRF Spy Universe.

Harish Ahuja, father-in-law of Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, has acquired a prestigious property in London’s affluent Notting Hill district. The eight-story residential convent, spanning 20,000 square feet, was purchased for a staggering £21 million (approximately Rs 231.47 crore), making it one of the largest residential deals in the United Kingdom this year.

As per several reports, the property, previously owned by a charitable organization, offers a prime location just a short distance from Kensington Gardens. Harish Ahuja’s plans for the property include redeveloping a portion to serve as a residence for his daughter-in-law Sonam Kapoor and son, Anand Ahuja. The remaining space is likely to be converted into luxury apartments.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, who have been married since 2018, welcomed their son Vayu in August 2022. The couple has been dividing their time between London and Mumbai.

Sonam Kapoor recently shared insights into her personal life and living space in an interview with Architectural Digest India. She candidly discussed her journey from initial hesitation to embracing her Mumbai home, which she describes as “maximalist.” The actress revealed that the double-height ceilings and expansive space eventually captivated her, leading her to envision a stunning living environment.

Adding to the film’s allure is the music, composed by the renowned duo Sachin-Jigar. In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Sachin Sangvi revealed that Adnan Sami, the celebrated musician, will make his return to Bollywood with Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Sami’s last work for Hindi cinema was in 2015 for the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, where he lent his voice to the soulful qawwali, ‘Bhar Do Jholi Meri.’

The title resonates with love as it comes from one of the most iconic romantic tracks in Hindi.” The connection to Aashiqui 2 highlights the film’s emotional depth, suggesting that Tum Hi Ho will explore the themes of romance and music in an impactful way.
Shooting to Continue in Uttarakhand
The film, directed by Ravi Udyawar, has been in production since May 2023. According to reports, the next schedule of filming will take place in the picturesque state of Uttarakhand. The source further added, “The team will be heading to Uttarakhand towards the end of September and will be stationed there for a while in October for the next leg of the shoot. Siddhant and Mrunal will be joining the shoot there along with the rest of the team.”

The filming will begin soon for the project. However, earlier reports revealed that the film is slated to go on floors in September or October 2024 and will be shot extensively in India and the United States. The makers are aiming for a 2025 release.

Previously, Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj have worked together on Kaminey and Haider.

Meanwhile, Sajid Nadiadwala has a packed slate with several high-profile projects in the pipeline. Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, is currently on floors, and the producer is gearing up to start shooting for Housefull 5 in the UK in September. On Friday, Prime Video announced the global streaming premiere of the highly entertaining film Bad Newz streaming worldwide on the service starting from September 13 onwards. Bringing together the fresh pairing of Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk in the lead, the film revolves around the rarely explored concept of heteropaternal superfecundation – a phenomenon where a woman’s eggs are fertilized by the sperm of two different men during the same cycle. The film will now be making its digital premiere about approximately two months after its theatrical release.

After creating a laughter wave in cinemas, the film’s exciting story is all set to storm the streaming space with its fun-filled, romance comedy as it also received love for its melodious music. Inspired by true events, the film revolves around a case of heteropaternal superfecundation, where an aspiring chef Saloni Bagga (Triptii Dimri) finds out she’s pregnant with twins from two different fathers played by Vicky Kaushal aka Akhil Chadha and Ammy Virk aka Gurbir Singh Pannu. This peculiar revelation sets off a hilarious rivalry between the two men as they compete for Saloni’s affection while dealing with the madness that follows.

The actor appears to have had the convertible delivered to his Mumbai residence. The CLE Cabriolet, unveiled globally in July and launched in India earlier this month, is currently only available in convertible form.

This latest addition to his collection joins a lineup that already includes several other luxury vehicles. Last year, on his wedding anniversary, Suman surprised his wife with a brand-new BMW i7, a luxurious electric sedan. Just a few months earlier, he had gifted his actor son, Adhyayan Suman, a brand-new Audi Q8 e-tron electric SUV.

On the work front, Shekhar Suman was recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
