In a message shared with his followers, Rampal stated, “Not good news, my X account has been hacked. Please don’t respond to any tweets or messages. #accounthacked.” The actor’s quick alert comes as a precautionary measure to protect his fans from potential scams or misinformation that may be circulated from his compromised account.

EXCLUSIVE: CBFC censors ‘b*******d’ and ‘son of a b***h’ from Khel Khel Mein

The industry, trade and the audience are gearing up for the release of three big films this Independence Day – Stree 2, Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein. Bollywood Hungama was the first one to tell you about the cuts in Vedaa and Stree 2. In this exclusive article, Bollywood Hungama will throw light on the cuts given by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to Khel Khel Mein.

As per the cut list, the CBFC’s Examining Committee didn’t ask for any visual cut. However, they asked for two cuss words to be muted – ‘b*******d’ and ‘son of a b***h’. It is not clear if these abuses have been muted, removed or replaced. But the audience definitely won’t hear these abuses in the original form.

Once these changes were made, the CBFC passed Khel Khel Mein with a U/A certificate. The censor certificate was handed over to the makers on August 8. The length of the film, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 134.07 minutes. In other words, Khel Khel Mein is 2 hours, 14 minutes and 7 minutes long.

Khel Khel Mein stars Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal and Aditya Seal and releases on August 15. It is directed by Mudassar Aziz of Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019) fame and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl and Shashikant Sinha. It is a remake of the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers.

Before the trailer, the team of Khel Khel Mein released the song ‘Hauli Hauli’ at an interesting event. Here, Ammy Virk raised a laugha as he said “Akshay paaji was our senior. When the senior most person treats everyone with love, then nothing like it. He has this habit that everyone should have lunch together. Pragya would order fish, Vaani ne kuch alag mangaya hota tha. Akshay paaji ne bhi kuch mangaya hota tha. I am the biryani saag type. We would eat from their plate.”

Pointing at Pragya Jaiswal, he revealed, “She would order healthy food as she is the heroine! But even she would consume biryani and lift food from Akshay paaji’s plate.”

Ammy Virk ended by remarking, “In short, it was a chill atmosphere. Khaana khaane gaye the hum toh aur film bana ke aa gaye maze maze mein!”

EXCLUSIVE: CBFC censors ‘inappropriate’ mention of celebrity and national monument in Stree 2

Less than a week is left for the release of Stree 2and the excitement is tremendous. The first part was a sleeper super-hit and it also gave birth to Maddock’s horror comedy Cinematic Universe. The other films of the series like Bhediya (2022) and Munjya (2024) added to the excitement for Stree 2. The makers, as expected, completed the censor process on time. Bollywood Hungama, in this article, will throw light on this aspect.

As per the cut list, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) did not ask for any visual cut. Hence, no intimate, action or horror scenes have been censored. However, the Examining Committee (EC) of the CBFC asked for two audio modifications. The makers had mentioned the name of a celebrity which they felt was inappropriate. The EC asked the makers to replace it. Similarly, in another instance, the EC was of the opinion that the mention of a national monument was inappropriate. Here, the EC asked for the monument’s name to be muted.

Once these changes were made, the censor certificate was handed over to the makers of Stree 2. The length of the film, as mentioned on the certificate, is 149.29 minutes. In other words, Stree is 2 hours, 29 minutes and 29 seconds long. The CBFC passed the horror comedy with a U/A rating.

Stree 2 is all set to release on August 15 with late-night paid previews on August 14. Backed by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios, it is directed by Amar Kaushik. It stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi. Varun Dhawan, the lead actor of Bhediya, also has a special appearance in the film.

At the trailer launch of Stree 2, Dinesh Vijan said, “Stree 2 is like the mother ship. It answers a lot of questions that Stree’s first part raised. It also tells you what the connections are.”

He added, “What will come next after Stree 2 would be a film called Thama which we’ll tell you guys about soon. We have already written Stree 3. So the gap between Stree 2 and Stree 3 would be less. Hence, please give it a lot of love.”

John Abraham criticizes paan masala endorsements by big stars, calls them ‘selling death’: “People talk about fitness, and the same people endorse it”

John Abraham, known for his commitment to fitness and healthy living, has taken a strong stance against actors who endorse ‘paan masala’ brands. Abraham recently voiced his concerns about the impact of such endorsements during a podcast with Ranveer Allahabadia.

John Abraham’s critique revolves around the juxtaposition of fitness advocacy with the promotion of products known for their detrimental health effects. He expressed his disapproval of actors endorsing paan masala, comparing it to “selling death.” Abraham emphasized that such endorsements are contradictory to the health-centric image many actors’ project. “People talk about fitness, and the same people endorse paan masala,” he said. “I love all my actor friends and I’m not disrespecting any of them. I want to make it clear that I’m talking about myself. But I will not sell death, because it’s a matter of principle.”

The actor elaborated on his stance by highlighting the scale of the paan masala industry, noting its massive annual turnover of Rs. 45,000 crore. He questioned how actors could reconcile promoting a product that contributes to significant health issues while publicly advocating for a healthy lifestyle. “Do you know that the yearly turnover for the paan masala industry is Rs. 45,000 crore? Which means that even the government is supporting it, and that’s why it isn’t illegal. You’re selling death. How can you live with it?”

The topic of paan masala endorsements has not been without controversy. Notable actors such as Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar have faced criticism for their involvement in such advertisements. In response to backlash, Akshay Kumar has announced that he will no longer participate in promoting paan masala, aligning with Abraham’s stance on the issue.

John Abraham, whose upcoming film Vedaa is set to release on August 15, continues to advocate for integrity both in his professional and personal life. In the podcast, he underscored his desire to be a genuine role model. “If I live my life with honesty, and if I practice what I preach, then I’m a role model,” he stated. “But if I’m presenting a fake version of myself in public and behaving like a different person behind their back, they’ll spot it.”

Jaya Bachchan calls out Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar after spat in Parliament, demands apology: “We are not school children”

Veteran actress and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan has demanded an apology from Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar following a heated exchange during a parliamentary session on Friday, August 9. The dispute arose over Dhankhar’s tone and his comments referencing Amitabh Bachchan in Parliament. The incident has drawn significant attention, with Congress stalwart Sonia Gandhi and other women parliamentarians expressing support for Bachchan.

Jaya Bachchan Criticizes Dhankhar’s Tone

In a statement to the media, Jaya Bachchan voiced her displeasure with the tone used by the Rajya Sabha Chairman, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable, especially when addressing senior citizens and women. “We are not school children,” Bachchan remarked, highlighting that as a senior parliamentarian, she found Dhankhar’s approach disrespectful.

“I objected to the tone used by the Chair,” she stated. “Some of us are senior citizens. I was upset with the tone, and especially when the Leader of Opposition stood up to speak, he switched off the mic. How can you do this? You have to allow the Leader of Opposition to speak.”

A Call for Apology

Bachchan, who is in her fifth term as a Member of Parliament, reiterated her demand for an apology from Dhankhar, stating that the way things are being spoken in Parliament today is unprecedented. “I mean using unparliamentary words every time, which I do not want to say in front of you all. You are a nuisance, ‘Buddhiheen’. He said you may be a celebrity; I do not care. I am not asking him to care. I am saying I am a member of Parliament. This is my fifth term. I know what I am saying. The way things are being spoken in Parliament these days, nobody has ever spoken before. I want an apology.”

The Incident in Parliament

The confrontation began when Dhankhar requested Jaya Bachchan to share her opinion on the ongoing discussion. Bachchan, visibly upset, responded, “Main Jaya Amitabh Bachchan ye bolna chahti hoon…I am an artist, I understand body language and expressions. And sir, I am sorry, but your tone is not acceptable. We are colleagues, sir, you may be sitting on the chair, but we are colleagues.”

Dhankhar responded by asking her to calm down, asserting, “I can deal with this. Jaya ji, you’ve earned a great reputation. But you know, an actor is subject to the director. You have not seen what I see from here. Every day, I don’t want to repeat. I don’t want schooling. I am a person who has gone out of the way, and you say, my tone? Enough of it! You may be anybody, you may be a celebrity, but you have to understand the decorum.”
