Reflecting on whether ‘Madame S’ mirrors her personality and beliefs, especially with its unique slogans, Sai enthusiastically confirms it. “There are some words and phrases which I personally use in day-to-day life. Some quotes that I truly stand by, like ‘आवडेल ते बजेट’ which means ‘If you like it, we’ll make it happen!’ So I think ‘Madame S’ reflects my personality traits!”

Launching the brand on her birthday, Sai expressed her desire to give back to her fans in a meaningful way. “Honestly, this is a return gift for my beloved fans from me. This way, they can create memories with my merch, and they’ll have something to cherish.”

Beyond her entrepreneurial pursuits, Sai’s acting career continues to flourish. She has been associated with Excel Entertainment for two intriguing projects — Ground Zero and Agni. In addition to these, audiences can also anticipate her performance in the multi-starrer Dabba Cartel.

After the Mumbai Sessions Court issued directives to the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) police to delve into a cheating accusation leveled against actress Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra, by bullion trader Prithviraj Saremal Kothari, the couple has responded to the claims. Their lawyer has issued a statement regarding fraud case being registered against the couple, wherein it has been asserted that the complainant received complete amount from the couple.

The statement read, “The complainant had a moved a criminal complaint against my clients Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty in year of 2022. This complaint was thoroughly investigated by the police in the year of 2022 by adopting the due process of law. After thorough investigation it was found that the complainant had in fact received the entire alleged amount of Rs. 90 lacs through legitimate means of payment. My clients bonafidely submitted these documents to the police department. After finding out the truth of the matter, the police delivered justice to my clients.

It went on to add, “Post this enquiry, the complainant opted to file a private complaint under sec 156(3) CrPC before the Honourable Court. After a passage of almost 2 years, the Honourable Court has directed the police to investigate the case again. We have complete faith in the independence and fairness of the investigation. The truth shall prevail. My clients have not committed any offence and it has been established through documents in possession of my clients. The invoice between the Complainant and my clients, clearly reflect that there is an Arbitration clause in the said contract.”

“If the complainant has any grievance about the alleged ‘interest amount’, the clause of Arbitration can certainly be invoked. However, the act of initiating criminal proceedings for settling commercial disputes has been deprecated by plethora of judgements of Honourable Supreme Court and various Honourable High Courts of our country. My clients shall fight this battle legally and shall cooperate with the investigation agencies. My clients reserve their right to sue the complainant for malicious proceedings, at the right stage of the proceedings,” the statement concluded.

About the Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra case

In the complaint filed by Kothari, it alleges that Shetty and Kundra, operating through their firm Satyug Gold Private Limited, initiated an investment plan back in 2014. According to Kothari, investors were enticed with an offer to procure a fixed quantity of gold at a reduced rate upfront, with assured delivery on a specified date, irrespective of market conditions. He also asserts that he invested Rs 90 lakhs in exchange for 5,000 grams of 24-carat gold, slated for delivery by April 2, 2019. However, upon maturity, he claims he neither received the gold nor its equivalent value as promised. Instead, he alleges he was offered a post-dated cheque only covering the principal amount of Rs 90 lakhs.

The much-awaited Telugu film Matka, starring Varun Tej, is currently in the midst of its production. The film is being touted as a high-budget pan-India film. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to create a visually stunning experience. A significant portion of the film’s budget, a whopping Rs. 15 crores, is dedicated solely to constructing elaborate sets at Ramoji Film City (RFC) in Hyderabad.

According to our sources, “These sets meticulously recreate the vintage charm and essence of Vizag, transporting the audience back in time. This commitment to detail, as seen in the making video, promises to be a major highlight of the film. Director Karuna Kumar has penned a captivating script inspired by real-life events that once shook the nation.”

The shooting schedule of Matka is currently underway. The film has already completed two schedules and is in the midst of a 35-day-long intensive shoot at RFC. The initial 14 days were filmed in Hyderabad, with the following four days taking place in the scenic city of Vizag. The total filming schedule is estimated to be around 20-25 days.

Sharing screen space with Varun Tej is Meenakshi Chaudhary, the leading lady. Adding further glamour to the project is Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi, who will play a crucial role. The supporting cast includes Naveen Chandra, Ajay Ghosh, Kannada Kishore, Ravindra Vijay, and P Ravi Shankar, among others.
The film boasts a talented technical crew as well. Karuna Kumar himself dons multiple hats, handling the story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction. Kill, the highly anticipated action thriller directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, is set to release in theatres on July 5, 2024. Starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala, this film has already generated significant buzz. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga Kapoor’s Sikhya Entertainment, Kill promises to deliver intense and violent action sequences that have captivated audiences from the trailer alone. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Lakshya talked about his debut, the long wait for his first film after Dostana 2 was shelved and what kept him going.

Speaking about the shelved project, Lakshya said, “It was a dream. When I came to Bombay, I was 17 in 2015 and I knew I wanted to do films and become a film star. Eventually, things did not pan out. 2018 was the last time I did a TV show. Then, Dostana 2 was offered to me in 2019. I gave rounds of audition. It was a process of 6-months before I cracked the first film. Then I felt, finally films are happening. COVID-19 happened due to I had to leave the film. But thanks to my producers Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, who always supported me. Then I thought that something would work out eventually. I had a huge self-belief that something or the other will pan out for me.”

“I had hope. I never left my schedule – work out, do voice rehearsals, scene rehearsals, etc, I continued with it. The production always supported me and never made me feel that things will not pan out. After Dostana 2, when the news came out [of the film being shelved], I went to the office, and I was called by my director Collin D’Cunha. I went to the office and Karan sir was there and he said, ‘Nothing to worry about. Something or the other will pan out. Give us some time.’ Then, I thought that someone of his stature giving assurance and saying such a thing to you, would bring some confidence. My mother had belief too – she chanted a lot. That gave me self-belief and confidence. Then, Kill came to me in 2023, after 3-4 years,” the actor added.

The planned sequel to the hit 2008 romantic comedy Dostana has been a source of much speculation since its abrupt shelving in 2021. While the official reason remains unclear, rumours were rife about a potential falling out between actor Kartik Aaryan and producer Karan Johar. Dostana 2 was set to star Aaryan alongside Janhvi Kapoor and newcomer Lakshya. Filming had even begun, with reports suggesting 30-35 days of shooting completed, before Dharma Productions, Johar’s production company, announced the project’s suspension.

Meanwhile, Kill is being touted as the most violent film written by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt. The film will release in theatres on July 5, 2024.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced a significant expansion of its membership on June 25, inviting 487 new members from across the globe. This move emphasizes the Academy’s ongoing commitment to fostering inclusivity and recognizing a wider range of cinematic voices.

As per the Oscars website, the Class of 2024 boasts a remarkable level of diversity, with 44% of invitees being women and 41% representing underrepresented ethnic and racial communities. It also reflects a global perspective, with members hailing from 56 countries and territories outside the United States.

Among the most notable inclusions are prominent Indian figures from the film industry. Renowned director S.S. Rajamouli, known for the global phenomenon RRR, finds himself alongside veteran actress Shabana Azmi, whose illustrious career has garnered her international acclaim. Joining them are Rama Rajamouli, Ritesh Sidhwani (producer of RRR), and the celebrated cinematographer Ravi Varman.

This recognition extends beyond established names, with filmmaker Rima Das, known for her poignant films like Village Rockstars, and choreographer Prem Rakshith, whose work on the viral song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from RRR captivated audiences, also receiving invites.

Furthermore, the Class of 2024 is distinguished by its impressive record of Academy Award recognition. A total of 71 invitees have been nominated for Oscars, with 19 already holding the prestigious golden statuette. Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has expanded his property portfolio with the purchase of three office units totalling Rs 59.58 crores in Mumbai. The offices in the prestigious Signature Building on Veera Desai Road, Andheri, highlight the actor’s substantial investment in commercial real estate.

Details of the Purchase
The office units, numbered 2701, 2801, and 2901, span a combined area of 8,429 sq ft. The deal, finalised with Veer Savarkar Projects Pvt Ltd, also includes three car parking spaces. Documents accessed by FloorTap.com reveal that Bachchan paid a stamp duty of Rs 3.57 crore, and the transaction was officially registered on June 20, 2024.
Recent Real Estate Ventures
This acquisition adds to Bachchan’s series of high-value property investments this year. Earlier in 2024, he purchased land worth Rs 10 crores in Alibaug and reportedly acquired another parcel in Ayodhya for Rs 14.5 crores.

Meanwhile, his son, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, has also been active in the real estate market. Abhishek recently purchased six apartments in the Oberoi Sky City project in Borivali for Rs 15.42 crores. The apartments, located on the 57th floor, cover a total area of 4,894 sq ft and come with 10 car parking spaces. This transaction, finalised on May 28, 2024, reflects the premium pricing of Rs 31,498 per sq ft for properties in one of Mumbai’s prime suburbs.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Upcoming Projects
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated film, Kalki 2898 AD. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. It is set to hit theatres on June 27, 2024.

The script of the film, which is of a comedy genre, is already ready and has been written by Amitosh Nagpal, and is set in north India.

Richa Chadha commented on her work had maternity break saying, “While I can’t speak for all women, because it depends on each individual what their journey is like, I am determined to get back to work as soon as possible, and not take a long break, as I have pending commitments.” Richa added, “I take immense inspiration from my own mother, who managed both roles with grace and efficiency. I believe I can handle both duties effectively as well, because it depends on the kind of support system you have around you and how hands-on your partner is. In my case, I feel blessed to have both those things figured out. I also don’t think it is out of the ordinary. I have seen the badass women of Mumbai take local trains well into their 9th month, heading to work, looking perfectly groomed with their gajras intact. I am very inspired by the average Indian woman and don’t want this to be treated as a medical condition, it is not. It is a natural part of life.”

A source close to the production of the film said, “Richa has loved the script and it’s a really fun concept. The pre-production work is set to take place in August and (it) will go on floors in October. The film is meant to be shot at the brink of winters in the north”.

As Richa prepares for this new chapter in her life, she remains dedicated to her upcoming projects, assuring her fans that her passion for acting and storytelling will not waver.

Posters put up across Patna by the Hindu Shivbhavani Sena threaten Sonakshi Sinha, stating they will not allow her entry into Bihar. The group further directed their message towards Shatrughan Sinha where they demanded he change the names of his palatial Mumbai residence, ‘Ramayana’, and his sons, Luv and Kush, claiming these names disrespect Hinduism. Shatrughan Sinha reacted to these accusations in a Times Now report wherein he said, “My daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional. A wedding is a very personal decision between two people; no one has the right to interfere or comment. To all the protestors I say – go, get a life. Do something useful with your life.”
