In a landmark moment for Hindi cinema, the Bharat Pavilion at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival is poised to unveil an exclusive sneak peek of the year’s most anticipated romantic musical thriller, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles. This Cannes-only exclusive showcase will happen on 17th May.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha promises to take the audiences on a rollercoaster ride, tracing the journey of love over 23 years. From 2000 to 2023, the film examines the complexities of mature love, exploring themes of enduring companionship and unwavering devotion.

Oscar winning M. M. Keeravani has composed the music for the film.

Producer Shreyansh Hirawat of NH Studioz will be present for the exclusive sneak peek.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor started dating in year 2007, during the early beginning of their relationship, Saif got Kareena’s name in Devnagari inked on his left forearm, which has been there for past 16 years. Recently, a paparazzi handle noticed that the tattoo was now covered up.

In a new photo online a new tattoo on his forearm. Fans flooded the comment section wondering if the actor got it covered for a movie. One user wrote “Chill everyone it’s for a movie”. Another fan wondered what the tattoo design meant but the comments section could not conclusively figure it out.

When Saif first debuted his tattoo in 2008, fans compared him to David Beckam’s Victoria tattoo on his forearm, to which Saif said “I wanted to say, ‘Look, this is what I have done and it’s a pretty serious commitment. I can wave it in your face every time you say ‘Casanova’! I’ll say, ‘But I haven’t done that before’,” claiming he did so to show his commitment towards their relationship.

In an interview with Brides Today earlier, Kareena shared how Taimur is fascinated by Saif’s forearm tattoo which is adorable to witness according to her, “I think the most romantic thing is when my son points at it now and asks. Like, he is all the time looking at that tattoo. And Saif is like, ‘This is your amma’s name’. And he (Taimur) keeps wondering like, ‘What is he saying?’ I think that’s a special moment for me,” she said.

The couple first started dating in 2007 and later got married in 2012, following which they became parents to Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan.

The directorial debut of actor Anshuman Jha Lord Curzon Ki Haveli bagged him the Best Director award and his leading man Arjun Mathur the Best Actor Award at the prestigious UK-Asian Film Festival 2024.

The black comedy thriller which had been having a wonderful festival run over the past 6 months – got a standing ovation at packed theatre at the historic Regent Street cinema in London last Saturday.

Anshuman said, “This win feels like a full circle for it has come in the UK. The film is about Asians in the West, identity, immigrants – thereby we are thrilled on the win in London. Because we shot the film in the UK & have been travelling with it around the world & now to win at our British Premiere is something I am truly grateful for. Especially for Arjun because I truly feel this film is one of his finest, if not, his best performance. Films need to entertain and ask questions. Can’t wait for it to release later this year.”

Arjun Mathur said, “I had taken the decision to pursue acting while in London in the year 2000. And winning this award here feels cathartic. I want to thank Anshuman for giving me Rohit & for putting the process in the forefront. We had such focussed fun during this film. And he has made exactly the film he narrated to me on his first narration. We had a lot of fun doing this together.”

Lord Curzon Ki Haveli is the first mainstream Indian feature films which has been entirely shot on a single lens technique and has been garnering applause around the world for it.

Lawrence Bishnoi gang has demanded an apology from Salman Khan in connection to his blackbuck poaching case. Recently, the President of the All India Bishnoi Society, Devendra Budiya, issued a statement saying that the Bollywood superstar’s apology would be considered if he seeks forgiveness. “If Salman himself apologizes, the Bishnoi society will consider the apology. The mistake was not made by Somy Ali, but it was committed by Salman,” the Bishnoi gang leader told IANS, as quoted by Pinkvilla.

The gang leader further elaborated on the conditions for the apology, stating, “He should propose to the Bishnoi society that he wants to apologize. He should come to the temple and seek forgiveness. He should further take an oath that he will never make such a mistake in the future and will always work to protect wildlife and conserve the environment. If he does this, a decision of the society to forgive him will be considered.” This statement comes weeks after gunshots were fired outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area.

For the unversed, Salman Khan was accused of hunting down Chinkaras at Bawad in Mathania near Jodhpur in September 1998 during the shooting of his movie Hum Saath Saath Hain. A complaint against the actor was filed by the members of the Bishnoi community, who believe that blackbucks are the reincarnation of their spiritual leader, Bhagwan Jambeshwar, also known as Jambaji. Khan was arrested the same year but later granted bail. In July 2016, he was acquitted by the Rajasthan High Court, but the Rajasthan government filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against this decision.

The Bishnoi gang leader’s statement also coincides with the recent shooting incident outside Khan’s residence, allegedly orchestrated by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Anmol Bishnoi, the gangster’s brother, claimed responsibility for the attack via a Facebook post.

So far, five accused have been arrested in the case. Among them, Anuj Thapan, allegedly died by suicide in Mumbai Police custody, a claim his family disputes, alleging foul play. Despite heightened concerns about his security, Salman Khan has not yet issued an official statement regarding the firing incident. His father, Salim Khan, commented on the matter, noting the increased police protection provided by the Mumbai Police.

Son of late Bollywood legend Irrfan Khan, Babil Khan recently shared a fervent post on Instagram which kindled several hypotheses regarding a potential break-up that the actor is going through.

Babil, who is well known for his down to earth and grounded nature, posted intimate snapshots alongside the caption which spoke about moving on, expressing his fans the complexities of growth and heartache. “I don’t think moving on is about trying to hide away what you have loved,” while setting the tone for a deeper exploration of the process, he continued, “In reality, you never really move on from the people that you have loved. They become a part of your life and the sails that catch the winds that make you who you are.”

“I chipped my tooth falling down the stairs, I like how you sound when you laugh. When you leave, take my crooked smile with you. Let me rebuild another half. I love to look at you. I’ll miss how you breathe, giggling inappropriately and carrying your scuba gear on the beach. I love to hold your hands. I’ll miss crossing roads running, wasted at dawn and far from home. As soon as the post was shared Babil’s mother and late actor Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar shared her pain and struggles with moving on after losing Irrfan saying, “I remember him carrying my chappal because it’s broken, he walked barefoot too on scorching heat on Delhi footpath.. the memory pillow should have the memories I just can’t touch him anymore..but it rains when I miss him. I have the plants he planted with his own hands. I had no option but to stay alone. I don’t know yet what’s called moving on (sic).”

The emotional post concerned fans who took the comment section to express their love, support and empathy.  One user advised, writing, “Heartbreak is like physical pain. But you’ll heal and understand nothing stays forever, and life goes on… Happy healing. Eat loads, travel, sit in silence, sing, and sleep. While most of the followers showed their support one user criticised The Friday Night Plan actor calling him “corny.” Unhinged by the critic, Babil handled the situation very maturely by asking the critic his idea of love, the actor replied “Okay. Multiplex chain PVR Inox has reported a consolidated loss of Rs. 130 crores in the quarter that ended on March 31, as per a report in Economic Times. The same was reported last year to be Rs. 333 crores. Meanwhile, in the October to December quarter, it reported a profit of Rs. 13 crores.

The multiple chain shared its revenue from operations at Rs. 1256 crores, which is 10% more than Rs. 1143 crores it had reported a year ago. As far as the full financial year is concerned, the firm reported a loss of Rs. 32 crores, which is down from Rs. 335 crores in FY23. Its revenue in the same period was reported to be Rs. 6107 crores, which is higher than Rs. 3751 crores a year ago.

The multiplex chain further reported that the Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter stood at Rs. 35.20 crores.

PVR also shared that 3.26 crores patrons visited their cinemas in the quarter just gone by. The Average Ticket Price (ATP) stood at Rs. 233 while the food and beverages (F & B) spend per head (SPH) was at Rs. 129.

In the first three months of this year, PVR Inox opened 33 new screens across six properties. The multiplex chain till now operates 360 cinemas with 1748 screens in 112 cities. For the full financial year, meanwhile, the total footfalls in their cinemas were 15.14 crores with Rs. 259 being the average ticket price. In the full year, the average F&B spend stood at Rs. 132. Also, the chain started 25 new properties and 130 new screens in FY24.

The firm also reduced its net debt of Rs. 136.40 crores.

Indian actor Jackie Shroff has taken legal action against various entities for unlawfully exploiting his name and distinctive characteristics for commercial purposes. Represented by his counsel, Shroff objected to the unauthorized utilization of his persona and public image for the sale of merchandise and other trademark products along with creation of ‘demeaning’ memes and GIFs, which also includes deployment of artificial intelligence (AI). Furthermore, he has also accused them of infringement of his trademark rights which involves the use of the Marathi slang ‘Bhidu’.

In response to Shroff’s plea, Justice Sanjeev Narula of the Delhi High Court has reportedly summoned the concerned entities and has scheduled the matter on Wednesday. Shroff’s legal representative argued has accused these individuals of engaging in misleading practices where consumers are deceived into believing that the products are endorsed by this popular actor, who boasts a prolific career spanning over 200 films. “Jackie Shroff is so well known. People will think it is endorsed by him. He has a certain marketability to his name. It can’t be done without his consent,” the counsel said in a statement, as reported by NDTV India.

It was highlighted to the court that various unauthorized merchandise items, such as mugs, signed posters, and bags, were being sold online, infringing upon Shroff’s rights. Moreover, the lawyer also highlighted the presence of memes and morphed images, which were circulated without consent, requesting the court to take action against the distribution of derogatory and objectionable content. The counsel went on to add, “All are using his name, images and earning huge money. This is all defamatory stuff. There are distasteful dirty words in voice over. There is nothing legitimate about any of this,”.

It is also being reported that some defendants have ceased their unauthorized use of Shroff’s personality traits following the legal action. Jackie Shroff, who has also featured in several other language films, has not yet spoken about the matter.

Suchitra Pillai, known for her role in Dil Chahta Hai, recently revealed an intriguing connection to Preity Zinta. During an interview, Suchitra shared that her husband, Lars Kjeldsen, once dated Preity Zinta. However, she was quick to clarify that she did not come between them, addressing rumours and misconceptions about her involvement.

In a conversation with The Indian Express, Suchitra disclosed, “No, that’s another story from somebody else. Preity and I were never friends; we were acquaintances because we had a common friend. But yes, Lars Kjeldsen did date Preity Zinta for some time but that was the breakup he had before he met me.” She emphasized that their relationship ended before she entered the picture.

Reflecting on the label of ‘boyfriend snatcher,’ Suchitra recounted, “The big news that happened, which was a big misunderstanding, was not because of me. It happened at the time I came back from England. I was called a ‘boyfriend snatcher’ on the cover of several magazines. The headline read, ‘Suchitra Pillai is a boyfriend snatcher.’ This was because I started dating Andrew Coyne, who had started Star Television in India. This was the relationship in question, but it was not because of me that Andrew and his partner, model Achala Sachdev, fell apart. It is water under the bridge after many years, and Achala and I have a laugh about it.”

Suchitra and Lars married in 2005 and have a daughter, Annika Kjeldsen. Preity Zinta, meanwhile, married Gene Goodenough in 2016 and welcomed twins Gia and Jai via surrogacy in 2021. Preity is currently in India filming Lahore 1947 with Sunny Deol, marking her return to the big screen after several years. The film, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, promises to be a significant project, featuring a stellar cast and crew including Shabana Azmi, AR Rahman, and Javed Akhtar.
