Anupam Kher’s directorial, Tanvi the Great, has brought on board an exceptional team, with Oscar winner MM Keeravani composing the music for the film, Keiko Nakahara as the Director of Photography (DOP), and now renowned lyricist Kausar Munir joining the team.

Lyricist Kausar Munir is best known for her incredible frame of work and some of the memorable dialogues from films like Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dear Zindagi, 83, Secret Superstar, Jubilee and more. It will be a magical treat when M.M. Keeravani and Kausar Munir collaborate on the music for the film.

Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, is arguably the most awaited film of the year and the excitement is increasing with each asset that the makers are presenting to the audience. The first part, Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01, was a huge hit across the country and the lead character and his mannerisms became a rage. As a result, there’s a lot of hope for the sequel. Realizing the potential of the second installment, the makers are leaving no stone unturned. And in a unique move, Pushpa 2: The Rule is all set to be released in Bengali. It is the first Pan-Indian film to have a release in the language.

Usually, Pan-India films, until now, have had a release in five languages, namely Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Pushpa 2: The Rule breaks the record as it’ll be released in as many as six languages in India. This was confirmed by popular music composer Devi Sri Prasad.

In an interview with Mid-Day, he revealed, “[In this edition], the story continues from where part one ended. It’s not like a franchise in which the actors are retained but the characters are different. Here, we are continuing with the same characters. So, you’ll notice progress in the music. Even then, we tried to make something different from the past soundtrack.”

He further said, “Also, this time, we are making the film in Bengali, so we have to go through the exercise in six languages. It took me more than two months to make the songs since I had to sit with the lyricists of each language to make it.”

A week ago, there were reports that popular singer Timir Biswas was going to do the voiceover or maybe sing in the Bengali version. When contacted, Timir, however, said that he hasn’t come on board yet.

Meanwhile, the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule recently shot a massive underwater sequence. Yesterday, the film’s Polish cinematographer Miroslaw Brozek uploaded an intriguing image from the sets of the film on Instagram. When a fan asked “Are you guys shooting a boat sequence?”, he replied, “Underwater”.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is all set to release in cinemas on August 15, 2024.

Back in February 2024, Bollywood Hungama reported that Varun Dhawan and Shashank Khaitan were teaming up for the third time after the success of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. This time, they’re bringing a fresh twist with Janhvi Kapoor joining the party in Dharma Productions’ upcoming film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The official announcement for the film dropped the same month, with an anticipated release date set for April 18th, 2025. This collaboration marks a reunion for Dhawan and Kapoor, who previously shared the screen in 2023’s Bawaal.

But the casting doesn’t stop there! The film boasts an exciting ensemble cast. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf have been roped in to play pivotal roles alongside the lead duo. The insider revealed, “It’s a pure family entertainer with romance in its backdrop, much like the kind of films that Shashank has made over the years.”

The source further elaborated that the film aligns perfectly with Dharma Productions’ signature style – a vibrant celebration of love with music, larger-than-life sets, and a stellar cast. The source added, “The premise of SSKTK is very close to the kind of films that Dharma is known for as it celebrates love with colour, music, scale, and a strong star cast.”

The production is gearing up for a quick start with filming set to commence within two weeks. The initial schedule will kick off in Mumbai, followed by a picturesque shoot in Rajasthan. International locations might also be incorporated. Interestingly, the makers intend to wrap up filming by the end of 2024.

Shashank Khaitan’s last directorial venture was Govinda Naam Mera, a Disney+ Hotstar release starring Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan juggling the upcoming masala action film Baby John directed by Atlee Kumar and Kalees, slated for release on May 31st, 2024. This will be followed by David Dhawan’s comedy film later this year.

Janhvi Kapoor, on the other hand, has a packed schedule too. Her upcoming projects include the pan-India films Devara: Part 1 with Jr. NTR and the period saga Karna with Suriya. Additionally, she has Karan Johar’s Mr and Mrs Mahi and Junglee Pictures’ Ulajh in the pipeline.

Gurucharan Singh, also known as Sodhi on the renowned television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has gone missing. According to NDTV, Delhi Police’s preliminary inquiry into the murder discovered that he was about to marry and was struggling financially.

According to sources, Delhi Police discovered the a fore mentioned vital data after conducting an initial investigation. Gurucharan withdrew ₹7,000 from an ATM in Delhi. His last known location, on April 24, was Palam, which is a few kilometers from his house. Since then, he has switched off his phone.

“His flight was scheduled for 8.30 pm on Monday, but he was seen at a traffic intersection in Palam at around 9.14 pm,” officials said, as per the report. He was seen crossing the road, carrying a backpack in the last found CCTV footage of the actor. In his complaint, Gurucharan’s father said that he left for Mumbai from Delhi via a flight on April 22, but never reached the destination. The police are also monitoring CCTV footage around his home to trace the route he took to the airport.

Fans and supporters of prominent television actor Gurucharan Singh, best known for his role as Sodhi in the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, are concerned over his inexplicable disappearance during the last few days. Gurucharan, who is reported to have been visiting his parents in Delhi, was supposed to return to Mumbai but hasn’t been heard from since April 22.

The actor’s father is distraught and had filed a complaint with the Delhi Police, outlining his son’s abrupt disappearance since leaving for Mumbai.

Rohit Meena, DCP South West Delhi, had told ANI, “Gurucharan’s family registered a complaint that he was missing since April 22. He was supposed to go to Mumbai, but he didn’t. We had registered a case under Section 365 of the IPC. We had put together a team to probe the matter and our technical team is also working on the case. We are in the process of going over the CCTV footage, where he is seen walking by himself.”

Despite his attempts, Gurucharan, 50, has yet to travel to Mumbai, where he works, or return home. His phone remains inaccessible, compounding his family’s anxieties. Ensure a prompt and timely inquiry, a Delhi Police officer said, “We are looking into the matter and a probe was instituted since we received a complaint.”

Gurucharan’s father denied that his son was in mental turmoil and said he couldn’t explain his disappearance.

Gurucharan, who rose to prominence for his hilarious performances in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, left the show a few years ago.

Ranveer Singh is adding another exciting project to his already packed slate. Following Singham Again and Don 3 already on the cards, and rumours of him portraying the superhero Shaktimaan, reports claim that he is collaborating with Prasanth Varma, the director behind the recent box office success, HanuMan. Varma has allegedly approached Singh for a big-budget period film steeped in Indian mythology.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll this project. Sources close to the development have shed some light on the project, tentatively titled Rakshas. Apparently, this film is part of a larger Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, where the director strategically introduces characters before uniting them in a grand finale. A source revealed, “Ranveer is blown away by the vision and long-term plans that his director has for the universe and is excited to embark on the journey of Rakshas soon.”

The pre-production seems to be progressing smoothly. The script, screenplay, and even pre-visualization are reportedly complete. The team is currently finalizing shooting schedules. Furthermore, the source added, “Ranveer has met Prasanth Varma and the team multiple times over the last few weeks and has already done a Pooja for the film on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Hyderabad.”

Rakshas is touted as a period film set in the pre-independence era, boasting a mythological backdrop. Intriguingly, Singh’s character is said to possess shades of a negative force. The specifics of his character arc remain under wraps, but sources hint at a character dealing with dark figures from Indian mythology.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Ranveer Singh is also collaborating with Aditya Dhar, on another project currently in pre-production. The shooting schedules for both Rakshas and Dhar’s films are expected to be finalized within the next two weeks, with filming potentially commencing in the latter half of 2024.

However, Ranveer Singh is yet to announce his next slate of releases. For now, two projects are confirmed – Singham Again, slated for Diwali 2024 release and Don 3, set for 2025.

Imran Khan is set to make a grand return to Bollywood after a hiatus of nearly nine years. This comeback marks a special reunion, as Khan will be collaborating with his maternal uncle, Aamir Khan, who played a pivotal role in launching his career. The actor has reportedly signed a quirky comedy titled Happy Patel which will be helmed by Vir Das.

According to a report in Peeping Moon, the film will be produced by Aamir Khan Productions, signifying a full-circle moment for the actor. Aamir first introduced Imran to the silver screen as a child artist in the 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Two decades later, in 2008, Aamir Khan Productions launched Imran as a leading man in the successful rom-com Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na.

The details about Happy Patel remain under wraps, but sources describe it as a laugh riot set in a unique yet familiar world. The film’s tone is said to be reminiscent of Imran’s earlier successful comedies, which often blended humour with relatable characters and heartwarming stories. The shooting of the film has already begun in Goa.

Adding another exciting layer to the project is the directorial debut of Vir Das. Khan and Das previously co-starred in the critically acclaimed 2011 black comedy Delhi Belly. While Das has experience of directing a web series (yet to be released), Happy Patel will be his first feature film directorial venture.

The cast boasts further star power. Mona Singh, known for working with Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots and Laal Singh Chaddha, will play a pivotal character. The identity of the female lead remains under wraps. Rumours are rife about a potential cameo by Aamir Khan himself, although this has not yet been confirmed.

Happy Patel replaces Khan’s initially planned web series with Abbas Tyrewala. This espionage thriller for Disney+ Hotstar would have seen Khan portray an intelligence officer navigating the complexities of South Asian counter-intelligence. However, the project was shelved due to the merger between Reliance Industries and The Walt Disney Company.
