Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior is now performing at a different level altogether. The film is just not slowing down at all and the hold that it demonstrated on its second Monday is a testimony to that. The film collected Rs. 8.25 crores* and that is excellent both on absolute as well as relative scale. Absolute, because this is now amongst the top second Mondays of all time. Relative, because there is hardly any fall when compared to second Friday numbers of Rs. 10.06 crores.

Had this been the first Monday number, even that wouldn’t have been bad and here the Om Raut directed film is collecting so much in the second week. So far, the film has collected Rs. 175.70 crores* and is a clear superhit. In fact the manner in which it is going currently, it could well emerge as a blockbuster success as well. The film will cross Rs. 200 crores by Saturday, if not Friday itself and post that would be heading for a bigger lifetime number.

The Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer would be facing competition from Street Dancer 2 this Friday and one now waits to see how the distribution of screens takes place. For the distributors and exhibitors, it would be a happy problem to solve as Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior is just not losing steam while the Varun Dhawan – Shraddha Kapoor film is carrying good vibes as well, especially amongst youth.

Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior has scored yet another feat. The film has gone past the lifetime number of his second biggest grosser till date, Total Dhamaal, in just 10 days. The multi-starrer comedy had gathered Rs. 154.23 crores in its entire lifetime when released early last year. Now the period war drama Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior has already accumulated Rs. 166.33 crores* and is still counting. That’s a remarkable feat indeed as the Om Raut directed film is still running strong and has potential to cross many more milestones in time to come.

On Sunday, the film evidenced excellent growth as it jumped to Rs. 21 crores*. This is now higher than the first day number which was anyways high at Rs. 15.10 crores. The trending is quite impressive for Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior and now it would be interesting to see how do the weekdays turn out to be. These would be real regular days for the film which has been enjoying an uninterrupted run for 10 days now and if the film manages to hold on collections of around 70% when compared to second Friday [Rs. 10.06 crores], it would be indeed be brilliant.

The next major target for Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior is an entry into the Rs. 200 Crore Club and going by the audience footfalls so far and appreciation coming the film’s way, that feat too is definitely on the cards and that too in real quick time.

What a fantastic run it is turning out to be for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The film is seeing unbelievable trending in the second weekend as well, what with Rs. 15 crores* more coming in. These are excellent numbers for the Om Raut directed film which is the first choice of audiences across the country and that too by a distance. There is just no competition whatsoever for the film which has exceeded all expectations ever since release and is now set for entry in the Rs. 200 Crore Club in the next two weeks.

So far, the film has collected Rs. 143.97 crores* and while Rs. 160 crores would be crossed in a jiffy, it has to be seen how much ahead of that does it go once the second weekend is through. What makes the film’s success further special is the fact that to begin with it was presumed that the regional flavor would restrict the footfalls from the opening day itself. Though collections were indeed better in the Maharashtra belt to begin with, the fact remains that there are good footfalls in the rest of the country as well, something that has helped its cause.

The Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer would further see a rise in collections today and that would further consolidate its superhit status. This one has indeed emerged as a biggie and now it is all about where does it eventually land up. Street Dancer and Panga are releasing on the coming Friday and that would mean a reduction in screens for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. If not for that, this one could well have soared further heights.
