Junaid Khan, who has received praise for his portrayal in his recent debut film Maharaj, has remarked about “his biggest critic at home”. In an interview with India Today, Junaid said that his father, Aamir Khan, mother, Reena Dutta, and sister, Ira Khan, are “very supportive and very encouraging even in their criticism.”

He said, “We don’t really talk about films so much. But I know that Ira (my sister) unconditionally supports me. I’m blessed because I come from a very supportive family. Also, they don’t shy away from saying it like it is. Even Papa (Aamir) will say, ‘Look, I feel this, but you should do what you want.’ The same is with mom. So, yeah, I think everybody is very supportive and very encouraging even in their criticism.”

Junaid also responded to a question about his height gap with Aamir and how his acting technique differs from his father’s. He continued, “I guess that is a compliment (laughs). No, I don’t know how to answer that in the sense that it’s not necessarily a conscious thing. I guess as performers, we’re all different. He’s a fantastic actor. A lot of times, between two of his own films, you would not be able to tell it’s the same person. So, yes, we are very different as performers.”

Recently speaking with news agency ANI, Junaid opened up about how he was inspired by the story of Karsandas Mulji. “He was a real person who in 1862 was talking about those things which even today are happening. It happens in society today. And it happens in every society. And at that time, he was fighting about it. When we didn’t have that much knowledge. So, I found the character and the story very inspirational. That there is a man who had so much understanding back then,” he had said.

In a shocking turn of events, a US-based fan of Sidharth Malhotra lost Rs. 50 lakhs in a fraud which allegedly involved the admins of a fanpage of the Shershah actor. The fan named Minoo Vasudevan, who goes by the name of desi_girl334 on X, penned several notes explaining the way she was manipulated by a certain Alizeh and Husna, who claimed that Sid was in trouble. Following by her outrage, Sidharth Malhotra took to the platform to share a note warning fans to stay away from such fraudsters.

In his note, he wrote, “It has been brought to my attention that certain fraudulent activities/scams have been circulating on various social media platforms, allegedly claiming to be associated with or in relation to me, my family and people claiming to be my fans and seeking money.” He went on to share, “I want to assure everyone reading this that neither I nor my family or team support any of this. I urge all of you to exercise caution when dealing with such matters. If you receive any suspicious requests, report them to the appropriate authorities and avoid spreading false information.” He concluded by mentioning, “My fans have always been my biggest strength and your trust and safety are my top priorities.” And signed off by adding, “Big Love and Hug!”

The makers have now officially confirmed the film’s new release date. The statement stated, ‘On the request of the exhibitors and distribution fraternity, we have mutually decided to shift the release date of our film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.’ It also noted, ‘New release date to be announced soon.’

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is Ajay and Tabu’s eleventh film together, and fans are anxious to see them as lovers. Director Neeraj Panday admits that he was unaware of their off-screen friendship, but he thought they were the ideal cast for the picture. “Two years back, when we were figuring out our next theatrical release, the germ of this film came to me. It was there in some form in my head before that but I didn’t actually sit down and write about it till two years ago. And Ajay and Tabu were my first choices. Having said that, I don’t know if it’s their friendship that translated onscreen because I know nothing about its background,” the filmmaker said.

Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha is an epic love story that follows Krishna and Vasudha as their young relationship confronts numerous challenges, eventually leading to their separation when Krishna commits multiple murders and is condemned to life in jail. Krishna gets released from prison after 22 years, and the story revolves around his final rendezvous with Vasudha.

When asked about the success of Kalki 2898 AD, producer Sangeeta Ahir of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha stated, “It is good for us that the audience is back in theatres and happy days are back.”
