Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has left fans in awe with a new workout video showcasing his remarkable strength. The video, posted by Ranbir’s personal trainer Nam on Instagram, features the actor performing a challenging gymnastic exercise. Alia Bhatt, RK’s wife, showed her support by giving the video a thumbs up. Fellow fitness enthusiast Arjun Kapoor also joined the praise party, liking the video on the social media platform.

Speculations suggest Ranbir’s rigorous training regime might be in preparation for his upcoming film, Love and War. The movie, announced in January 2024, is aiming for a Christmas 2025 release. The film will also star Alia Bhatt and actor Vicky Kaushal in the lead.

While details regarding the shooting schedule remain undisclosed, a source exclusively informed News18 Showsha that filming will commence in Mumbai. The source added that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently finalizing the elaborate song sequences with his production design team. Vicky Kaushal’s joining date for the shoot is yet to be confirmed.

Fans are excited for both projects given that Ranbir’s last big screen release, Animal, was a blockbuster. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, it was released on December 1, 2023, and features Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. The sequel is also in the pipeline.

In a shocking turn of events, a CISF woman constable, identified as LCT Kulwinder Kaur, has been suspended for slapping actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut. The incident occurred at Chandigarh airport while Kangana was preparing to board a flight to New Delhi. According to a senior CISF officer, this serious altercation took place after Kangana had passed through the security check and was heading towards the boarding gate.

The constable involved has stated that her actions were in response to derogatory remarks made by Kangana about the farmers’ protests. Kaur said, “Kangana said that the farmers are sitting there for Rs 100. Would she go and sit there? My mother was among those protesting when Kangana made this statement.” This statement appears to have been a significant factor leading to the physical confrontation.

In 2021, Kangana Ranaut faced substantial backlash for labelling the Kisan Morcha a “Khalistani movement” in a social media post. This comment drew widespread criticism and resulted in an FIR being filed against her by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), among other groups. The constable’s reaction seems to have been influenced by these previous remarks.

Following the incident, the CISF swiftly suspended Kulwinder Kaur and filed a complaint at the local police station, seeking an FIR. A senior CISF officer confirmed that a high-ranking inquiry committee has been established to thoroughly investigate the matter. This incident has drawn significant media attention and raised questions about airport security protocols and personnel conduct. The CISF’s prompt suspension of the constable and initiation of a detailed investigation underscores the seriousness of the matter. The inquiry committee’s findings and subsequent police investigation will be crucial in determining consequences and preventing future incidents.

Hina Khan, who continues to be one of the most renowned bahus on television owing to the extensive popularity of her show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recalled the time she exited the show. After working in the show for seven years, the show eventually killed her famous character Mrs. Akshara Singhania, and since then, there have been many rumours about her exit. Addressing the same. Hina confessed that her exit was not a smooth one but also refrained from bad-mouthing the producers and the show’s team.

In an interview with Galaata India, Hina Khan revealed that she continues to give the show makers the kind of respect they deserve because the show was responsible for establishing her as a household name. “These guys (makers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) have given me my first break. I have that respect and regard for them. I remember when I left my first ever show, I remember my dad was really sad. I worked for years but it did not end on a good note. It wasn’t like we would not even see each other. But it wasn’t that nice, pleasant. That’s okay. It happens. Time heals everything. At least, time has healed me completely. I have no objections now,”

Recently, producer Rajan Shahi revealed that Hina Khan decided to move out of the show after she allegedly claimed that she was being ignored in the presence of the other leading lady Shivangi Joshi and was not happy about the latter gaining importance on the show. Speaking about the same, Hina continued, “I have respect and regard for them. I don’t know why is it happening from the other side, time and again. I just don’t get it. Not that I would like to talk about it and I don’t want to.”

She also mentioned that it was her promise to her father because of which she refrained from talking more and asserted that she wouldn’t say anything wrong about the show makers. “I remember my father was extremely sad and right after I left the show, he (her father) took a promise from me. He said, ‘Promise me you will never speak ill about anyone from that show’. He said that. I stick to that. Now, he is not here. How can I break that promise? I am not going to say anything,” she added.

“I have a lot of regard and respect. It will always be there in my heart, no hard feelings. But I also want to say something else. Kabhi kabhi jo bahut bolta hai na, zaroori nahi voh sahi ho. Jo kam bolta hai, zaroori nahi voh galat ho (people who speak a lot may not always be right, and people who maintain silence may not be always wrong either). That’s all,” she concluded.

As for the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, it continues to be one of the longest running Indian television dramas on Star Plus. Currently, after multiple leaps, the show features Samrudhii Shukla, Rohit Purohit, and Garvita Sadhwani in lead roles.

Hamare Baarah, which is making news for its bold approach and thought-provoking plotline, has been mired in controversy, with the makers landing in deep trouble. The highly anticipated release of Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, and Paritosh Tripathi starrer, has encountered a significant setback as the Bombay High Court has issued a stay on its release just two days before its scheduled release on June 7, extending the hold until June 14. This unexpected turn of events has impacted the premiere of the film which was expected to be held this week, leaving makers in an uncertain dilemma.

The legal obstacle arises from a petition filed by activists from a specific religious community at the Mumbai High Court, opposing the film’s release. Producers Birender Bhagat and Ravi S Gupta have raised serious concerns regarding the imposition of the stay, especially given that the film had already obtained a censor certificate. In a recent statement given to NDTV, Mr Bhagat explained their predicament saying, “Our film has received a certificate from the censor board. It is set to release on this Friday. We have invested crores of our hard-earned money in making the film, risked our entire life’s savings, and made this film with great difficulty. We are shocked and disappointed since a stay has been imposed on our film without even watching it.”

The makers of the film were already expecting trouble and had even taken efforts to ensure a smooth release. The film’s director and producers met with Maharashtra CM Shri Eknath Shinde earlier this week to express gratitude for the safety measures and police protection provided right before the release of the film. However, despite all of this, the film’s release has been dampened by the recent legal development.

Hamare Baarah has sparked widespread discussions due to its exploration of the rarely addressed subject of overpopulation.

The horror comedy Munjya was released today worldwide. The film has caught attention due to the concept, the song ‘Taras’ and also because it’s a horror comedy, a genre that has a lot of takers. On top of it, it is a part of the exciting Maddock Supernatural Universe, which also comprises Stree (2018) and Bhediya (2022). Before the release, many wondered whether the Bhediya-Stree connection would come to the fore in Munjya or would the makers let it pass.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that the makers of Munjya present a huge surprise to the viewers. Varun Dhawan, the lead actor of Bhediya, appears in a cameo in Munjya. The scene is very crucial for the future of the Maddock Supernatural Universe. It probably also gives a hint on what one can expect in the next instalment of Bhediya and it surely enhances excitement for it.

Munjya stars Sharvari and Abhay Verma and is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, it is the story of a menacing spirit tied to a tree in a sleepy seaside town in Konkan, Maharashtra. All hell breaks loose once the spirit attaches himself to an awkward Pune boy for his ulterior motive, leading to chaos.

The Maddock Supernatural Universe began with a bang with Stree (2018), starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Amar Kaushik, it was one of the biggest hits of 2018. This was followed by Roohi (2021), starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Then came Bhediya and along with Varun Dhawan, it also starred Kriti Sanon.

The next film in the universe is Stree 2. It will release on August 30 this year and its pre-release hype is tremendous. Bhediya 2, meanwhile, was launched last year at an event of Jio Studios and is expected to release in 2025.

As the newly elected Member of Parliament from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, Ranaut was at the airport when she was slapped by the CISP personnel.

According to reports in NDTV and India Today, the altercation erupted when Ranaut purportedly refused to comply with security protocols at the airport, including placing her phone in the designated tray during the security check. Matters quickly escalated, with Ranaut allegedly pushing the security personnel, leading to the unprecedented action of being slapped by a CISF constable.

The incident, captured on mobile footage, depicts Ranaut engaged in a discussion with CISF officers as she is escorted towards the security check-in. Moments after reports surfaced about the alleged assault, Ranaut took to social media, sharing a video on her Instagram to address the incident.

In the video, she assured her fans of her well-being while accusing the CISF personnel of slapping and abusing her during the security check. “I am receiving a lot of calls from my well-wishers and the media. First of all, I am safe; I am completely fine. Today, an incident happened at the Chandigarh airport during the security check. When I came out after going through the security check, the woman, who was a CISF security personnel, waited for me to pass her and then hit me on the side of my face. She started abusing me. When I asked her the reason behind her actions, she told me that she supports the farmer’s protest. I am safe, but my concern is about the growing terrorism in Punjab; how do we handle that?” said Kangana.

Sania Mirza stunned everyone when she chastised Kapil Sharma for asking a question she found weird. The tennis star will appear on the new episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, alongside Mary Kom, Saina Nehwal, and Sift Kaur Samra. The trailer, which was released on Wednesday, gives viewers a peek of the entertaining episode that awaits them. The trailer teased a few jokes and situations. However, no one expected Sania to roast Kapil in this episode.

In the promo, Kapil was seen asking Sania, “Sona toh aapne itna jeeta Sania. Jab aap bahar jaati hai, jewellery aap fir sone ki nahin karti hongi aap.” With a straight face, Sania replied, “Nahi, sirf gold medal hum pehenke jaate hai… Pagal hai?”

Kapil was taken aback by her response and asked her, “Were you my sister-in-law in my previous life?” Kapil and Sania then decided to play in-laws, which really brought out Sania’s vicious side.

Sania also briefly discussed her romantic life. Further in the promo, Kapil reminded Sania that Shah Rukh Khan had promised to portray her love interest if a film about her was made. Civic Studios, a Mumbai and London-based media company focused on social impact narratives, is spearheading the animation feature Schirkoa: In Lies We Trust, by Ishan Shukla. The film, premiered at the 2024 International Film Festival of Rotterdam, won the prestigious NETPAC award for Best Asian Film.

According to Variety, Schirkoa: In Lies We Trust presents a thought-provoking dystopia where citizens wear paper bags to erase differences. Whispers of a mythical land free from these constraints ignite tensions, leading a fresh council member to inadvertently spark revolution.

Ishan Shukla serves as writer, designer, and director, collaborating artistically with Bich-Quan Tran. The voice cast includes actors Golshifteh Farahani, Asia Argento, SoKo, King Khan, Denzil Smith, and John Sutton along with new actors Tibu Fortes and Shahbaz Sarwar. Interestingly, the voice guest stars include Lav Diaz, Gaspar Noe, Karan Johar, Shekhar Kapur, Anurag Kashyap, and Piyush Mishra.

The official synopsis reads, “In a sophisticated near perfect society Schirkoa, citizens live with paper bags on their heads to dissolve differences. Tensions rise when the whispers of a mythical land without the bags start to float and a fresh council member sparks an accidental revolution.”

Schirkoa is a product of international collaboration. Dissidenz Films and Red Cigarette Media co-produced the film, with contributions from Rapid Eye Movies, Civic Studios, and Cofinova 18. Additionally, the film received support from various institutions across France, Germany and India.
