The sequel to the 2019 hit film De De Pyaar De, titled De De Pyaar De 2, has officially begun filming in Mumbai. The news was confirmed to Bollywood Hungama that the team commenced shooting with a traditional Mahurat Puja ceremony. Actor Anil Kapoor, who was not part of the first film, added a special touch to the occasion by gracing the event and giving the ceremonial first clap.

De De Pyaar De 2 will be directed by Anshul Sharma, a new name at the helm compared to Akiv Ali who directed the first installment. Production duties are being shared by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, alongside Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.
The first film starred Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh in an unconventional love story. Devgn played a man in his 50s who falls for a woman in her 20s, played by Singh. Tabu portrayed Devgn’s ex-wife, adding another layer of complexity to the narrative. While there’s no confirmation yet on Tabu’s return for the sequel, rumours suggest she might reprise her role. Anil Kapoor is a part of the sequel and will reportedly play the role of Rakul Preet Singh’s character’s father.
Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgn previously worked together in the 2019 comedy Total Dhamaal. This will mark their second project together.
De De Pyaar De 2 is aiming for a release on May 1, 2025. This release window places it perfectly between Maharashtra Day and International Workers’ Day.

Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has emerged victorious in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency. Running on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket, Ranaut defeated her closest rival, Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh, by a significant margin of 72,088 votes.

According to ANI, in her victory speech, Ranaut emphasized her commitment to the region. “Mandi has not taken kindly to the insults for daughters,” she declared. “As far as my departure to Mumbai is concerned, this (Himachal Pradesh) is my ‘janmabhoomi’ and I will continue to serve people here. So, I am not going anywhere. Perhaps, someone else will have to pack their bags and leave.”

The contest in Mandi was highly anticipated, featuring two prominent figures: Kangana Ranaut and Vikramaditya Singh. Singh, representing the Congress, comes from a storied political lineage. His father, Virbhadra Singh, was a towering figure in Himachal Pradesh politics, making this election not just a political contest but also a clash of legacy versus new-age charisma.

Throughout the campaign, both candidates emphasized their vision for Mandi’s development. Ranaut’s campaign was marked by promises of infrastructural development, better healthcare, and education facilities, alongside her commitment to women’s empowerment. In her speeches, she often highlighted her journey from a small-town girl to a Bollywood star. Singh, on the other hand, relied on his deep-rooted connections and his father’s legacy to garner support.

The Student Of The Year actor shared the joyous news on his Instagram handle, delighting fans and well-wishers with the heartwarming announcement.

Varun Dhawan wrote, “Our baby girl is here. Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby. हरे राम हरे राम, राम राम हरे हरे कृष्ण हरे कृष्ण कृष्ण कृष्ण हरे हरे ।” Accompanying the post was a cute animated video featuring an endearing basket decorated with balloons and flowers. The couple’s dog, Joey, added to the charm by holding a card that said, “Welcome lil sis.”

The actress, who has been receiving immense praises for her role as the courtesan Waheeda in the recently released Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, is also appreciated for speaking her heart out and recently she made a confession wherein she talked about being eve-teased by a woman and how it impacted her.

Recalling the incident during her interaction with Hauterfly, Sanjeeda Shaikh revealed that she was molested by a woman at a public place and how she was left in complete shock. “I remember one incident very vaguely but it was by a woman. I was in a nightclub. One woman was passing by and she just touched my br**st and she left. I was kind of taken aback, like what just happened. We hear men smack you on the back and they misbehave, ladkiyaan koi kum nahi hai (Women are no less),” she said.

She went on to add, “If you are headed on the wrong path, you are going on it regardless. It has nothing to do with men or women, whatever is wrong is wrong. If a woman has wronged you, tell her. Because I think playing the victimhood card is very unattractive.”

Sanjeeda Shaikh plays the role of the jealous Waheeda who is also the sister of the Heeramandi ruler Mallikajaan aka Manisha Koirala, and decides to wage a war against her own sister to get her rights and power.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is a web-series directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it also featured Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, and Taha Shah Badussha in key roles. It is currently streaming on Netflix.

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal have entered a new chapter in their lives as they welcomed their first child. Reports revealed that Natasha Dalal went into labour on Monday morning, June 3. And now, Varun Dhawan and Natasha have been blessed with a baby girl. The Dhawan family reached the hospital on Monday night to be with Varun and Natasha.

On Monday, June 3, Varun Dhawan was spotted outside Hinduja Hospital in Khar West, Mumbai, carrying a duffle bag and rushing towards his car, fueling speculations about the imminent arrival of their baby. In a video that surfaced on social media, Varun was seen sporting an oversized pink t-shirt and blue pyjamas, carrying a bottle of alkaline water. Despite the paparazzi’s presence, he quickly returned to his car.

Interestingly, Rohit Dhawan and his wife Jaanvi Desai were blessed with a baby girl in 2018 at Hinduja hospital. Varun had paid a visit to his older brother and sister-in-law at the time.

Meanwhile, Varun and Natasha announced their pregnancy in February 2024 with an endearing social media post. Varun shared a monochrome picture from their living room, featuring him on his knees, lovingly kissing Natasha’s baby bump, while their pet dog looked on. The post was captioned, “We are pregnant. The viral video provides a glimpse of their new silver Lexus LM arriving at their apartment complex, named Vaastu. While details about the specific variant they purchased haven’t been revealed, the LM offers two main trims: the 7-seater and the more spacious 4-seater. The 4-seater option boasts features like reclining rear seats with massage functions, a refrigerator, and even an entertainment system for rear passengers.

Back in April, Ranbir was spotted cruising in a brand-new Bentley Continental GT V8, estimated to cost around Rs. 6 crores. The dark sapphire blue beauty boasts an ex-showroom price of Rs. 5.2 crores, with the on-road price reaching a staggering Rs. 6 crores, according to CarDekho. Last year, Ranbir also added a luxurious Range Rover worth Rs. 4 crores to his collection.
