Actor Akshay Kumar shares a very special bond with National Award-winning choreographer Ganesh Acharya (Masterji). One can say that Akshay Kumar certainly shares a brotherly bond with Master Ji and he is always there to support him and his work. He even lent his vigorous voice to the trailer of his upcoming film.

Talking about Akshay Kumar, Ganesh Acharya shared, “Akshay is a dear friend of mine. When he came to know that I am making a film based on dance, he wanted to support the film in every way. Akshay has always been like a tower of strength for me since the early days of my career. He never fails to surprise me. I feel delighted to have someone like Akshay Kumar besides me, supporting everything that I do.”

Dehati Disco is directed by Manoj Sharma and produced by Vaseem Qureshi, Gitesh Chandrakar, and Kamal Kishor Mishra. The film features, Ganesh Acharya, Ravi Kishan, and Super Dance – Chapter 3 finalist Saksham Sharma in key roles.

Dehati Disco is all set to release in theatres on the 27th of May, 2022.

Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgn recently shared the screen for the film Runway 34, which was directed by Ajay himself, the film, also stars Amitabh Bachchan and is currently playing in theatres. In the film, Rakul and Ajay play co-pilots who land in legal trouble after an incident on the flight. Before Runway 34, the duo shared the screen in the film De De Pyaar De (2019).

In De De Pyaar De, Ajay Devgn plays Ashish Mehra, who falls in love with a woman half his age, Ayesha played by Rakul Preet Singh. He introduces her to his ex-wife played by Tabu and his grown-up kids from his first marriage. Recently, while promoting Runway 34, Ajay confirmed that they are planning a sequel to De De Pyaar De.

Talking about the sequel to De De Pyaar De, Ajay said, “I think they are writing the script. Let’s see when”.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rakul Preet Singh has some interesting projects in the pipeline including Chhatriwali, Doctor G, Mission Cinderella and Thank God. Ajay, on the other hand, will next be seen in the film Maidaan which will be released later this year.

The period films have always had a huge following. Several of the successes in the history of Indian cinema have been films set in the bygone era. Down South, films like Baahubali and RRR were also set in a different period and hence worked big time in recent times. Bollywood, too, has been churning out many such films and several films are also up for release. One such film, which has generated a lot of craze, is Prithviraj. It is one of the most awaited films of the year thanks to the topic, period setting, and of course, the presence of superstar Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt that the theatrical trailer of the film will be launched next week. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The trailer will be out on Monday, May 9. A grand trailer launch will be held in Mumbai’s YRF studios. Along with Akshay Kumar, lead actress Manushi Chhillar and director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi will grace the trailer launch. Since it’s a grand film, the producers – Yash Raj Films (YRF) – have decided to have a grand event for the unveiling of the trailer as well. It’ll surely be one of the most talked-about events of the year.”

The teaser of the film was launched in 2021-end. This was a time when Prithviraj was scheduled for a release on January 21, 2022. Sadly, the film was pushed due to the third wave. The source said, “The audiences have already got an idea about the scale of the film, through the teaser. The theatrical trailer will educate viewers about the film’s story and would also have more glimpses of the action and the grandeur. There’s already a lot of buzz about the film. This hype will get enhanced once the theatrical trailer is out.”

Prithviraj will be released in cinemas on June 3, 2022. Its trailer will be attached with the prints of YRF’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar, starring Ranveer Singh, which will arrive in cinemas on May 13.

A plea on Wednesday was moved in the Delhi High Court challenging Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The film’s trailer which was unveiled last month talks about female foeticide but also shows pre-natal sex-determination during ultrasound.

A plea was filed by Advocate Pawan Prakash Pathak that cites that though the film focuses on female foeticide and strives to promote the cause of Save Girl Child, the trailer also shows ultrasound technology usage for sex determination which is restricted under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994.

According to Live Law India, the plea states, “The ultrasound clinic scene where the technology of ultrasound for sex selection is being advertised openly without censor and as per section 3, 3A, 3B, 4, 6 & 22 of the PC & PNDT Act, same is not allowed & hence the instant PIL.”

Jayeshbhai Jordaar stars Shalini Pandey, Ratna Pathak Shah and Boman Irani. The film is helmed by Divyang Thakkar and produced by Yash Raj Films and Maneesh Sharma.

The Indian version of Fear Factor, Khatron Ke Khiladi hosted by Rohit Shetty, is all set to be back with its 12th season. With several names floating around, it seems like some of the contestants have been confirmed.

As per several reports, Kumkum Bhagya actress Sriti Jha, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s Shivangi Joshi, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi’s Erica Fernandes, Chetna Pande of Class of 2020, former Bigg Boss contestants Pratik Sehajpal and Rajiv Adatia, comedian and current Lock Upp contestant Munawar Faruqui, Dance Deewane judge Tushar Kalia, influencer Mr. Faisu will be amongst the contestants. The first participant to be confirmed this season was Rubina Dilaik.

The reports suggest that the participants will fly to South Africa by end of this month to film the show. It will air in July after Dance Deewane Juniors wraps up.

Earlier in 2021, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan had a massive fall out, following which their collaboration, Dostana 2, was put on the backburner despite shooting for more than 50 percent of the film. Soon after, Karan and his banner, Dharma Productions, at multiple occasions suggested that the film will see a complete revamp with another actor stepping into Kartik Aaryan’s shoes. They also emphasised that Dharma Productions won’t work with Kartik in future though the reason for this fallout wasn’t mentioned.

In a new interview with Indian Express, when Kartik was asked whether his differences with industry people could cost him work, he responded, “I just focus on my work. That’s all I would like to say on this. Look at my (film) line-up (right now).”

He was also further prodded about industry people lobbying against him. Kartik replied, “What happens, at times, is people make ‘baat ka batangad’ (make a mountain out of a molehill). There is nothing more to it. No one has so much time (to think so much). Everybody just wants to work, do good work. Other than that, things are just rumours.”

Last year, following the rumours about the fallout, Dharma Productions released a statement confirming the same. “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence – we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon,” it read.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan is currently promoting Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu. He also has Shehzada, Captain India and Freddy in works.
