Director of films like Desi Boyz and Dishoom, Rohit Dhawan is rejoicing yet another lovely moment as he became a father for the second time. Rohit and his wife Jaanvi welcomed their second child and it’s a boy! Needless to say, Varun Dhawan and his entire family were thrilled to welcome the new member.

In a new video that is reportedly doing the rounds, Rohit Dhawan and his father David Dhawan were spotted outside the hospital. Also, a few weeks ago Varun Dhawan’s family celebrated the pre arrival of the baby when the actor’s wife Natasha Dalal hosted a baby shower for her sister-in-law Jaanvi Desai Dhawan.

Rohit Dhawan and Jaanvi Desai tied the knot in 2012. The couple already has a daughter named Niyara, who seems to be quite close to her chachu Varun Dhawan. The Coolie No. 1 actor has shared many fun videos with his adorable niece as it has also garnered a lot of attention on social media.

On the work front, Rohit Dhawan is working on the Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon starrer Shehzada. The film is the official remake of the Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

It’s time for Rocketry: The Nambi Effect to place India on the global map of cinema! Putting the legendary ISRO space scientist Nambi Narayanan on the international stage, where it rightfully deserves to be seen, R Madhavan’s much-awaited directorial debut, biographical drama Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, will receive its World Premiere during the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The Palais des Festival premiere will take place during a prime-time slot at 9pm on Thursday 19th May as part of the celebration of India as the official country of honour at the Cannes Film Market this year – an inaugural tradition that will be continued at future editions. The launch of the festival tradition is particularly significant during its 75th year, coinciding with 75 years of Indian independence. India’s Ministry of Culture has officially selected Rocketry: The Nambi Effect for its Red Carpet World Premiere at the prestigious venue.

Actor-turned-filmmaker R Madhavan plays the role of the eponymous Indian scientist, Nambi Narayanan, a former ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer, and has also directed, produced and written the film. Speaking about Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’s world premiere at Cannes Film Festival, R Madhavan said, “I’m in a daze! I just started by wanting to tell the story of Nambi Narayanan and I’m unable to believe all that’s happening. With God’s grace, we’ve waited long and I’m grateful and thrilled to watch all good things happening for the film. As a debut director, my nervousness is making it difficult for me to breathe & all I hope is to make India proud!”

Capturing the iconic ISRO space scientist Nambi Narayan’s story of struggle, determination and triumph, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, has been shot simultaneously in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil and English. Its theatrical WORLDWIDE release, scheduled for 1st July, will also feature Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada versions.

Staged on a mammoth scale, the film has been shot in India, France, Canada, Georgia and Serbia. With a powerful ensemble star cast comprising of acclaimed international actors like Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta and Ron Donachie and with special appearances by superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is produced by TriColour films, Varghese Moolan Pictures and 27th Investments. The film is being distributed by UFO Moviez and Red Giant Movies in India and will be distributed internationally by Yash Raj Films and Phars Film Co.

Earlier today, Karan Johar annoucned that his popular chat show Koffee With Karan has come to an end. The announcement came a week after speculative reports of the filmmaker coming back with season 7 in June. However, on Wednesday morning Karan announced that the show has come to an end. Well, it turns out it was just a dramatic effect for the real announcement. All the fans of that show can take a deep breath and rejoice as the show is not cancelled. The filmmaker will be returning with season 7 soon.

Hours after announcing that the show has been cancelled, Karan took to his Twitter handle to share yet another announcement. “Koffee with Karan will not be returning…on TV! Because every great story needs a good twist, I’m delighted to announce that Season 7 of Koffee With Karan will stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar! The biggest movie stars from across India will return to the couch to spill the beans while drinking some koffee. There will be games, there will be rumours put to rest – and there will be conversations that go deep, about love, loss and everything we’ve all been through over the last few years. Koffee With Karan, ‘steaming’ soon, only on Disney+ Hotstar. Toodles,” he wrote.
