FICCI Frames, the media & entertainment convention is back in its physical form. A precursor called FICCI Frames fast track is happening on 27th and 28th September in Mumbai. Organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), FICCI Frames is India’s biggest international conference for the media and entertainment industries, covering film, television, digital entertainment, animation, gaming and visual effects. Jyoti Deshpande serves as the Chairperson, FICCI, Media and Entertainment Committee. A special delegation from Yorkshire is coming to promote the country for film shoots. The delegation will be led by the mayor of Yorkshire. The theme of FICCI Frames Fast Track is coming back after the pandemic. The event will celebrate the industry which went through the COVID times and has emerged stronger. It aims to bring back the industry that has survived the pandemic and is raring to go.

Ranveer Singh will be there for the inaugural and the opening session while Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji will talk about the journey of Brahmastra in the validatory session. “The idea is to bring together the industry under one roof and just celebrate the fact that we have not only survived the pandemic that affected people and industries world over but also came together during that period to help and support people.” Says Leena Jaisani · Assistant Secretary General and Head- FICCI, Media and Entertainment.

The focus this year will also be on OTT as OTT has emerged as a very strong player during the pandemic. The two-day convention would discuss top trends, policies, and regulations in the industry with various stakeholders including Filmmakers, technicians, actors, heads of the film studios, and representatives from exhibition sectors. There will be conversations about what has changed during the pandemic and what the future looks like for the Media & Entertainment sector. Conversations will also be around film tourism, IP rights, and film incentives.

FICCI Frames fast track will also have masterclasses and workshops around various aspects of filmmaking. This year, students from various schools and colleges will also get an opportunity to hear and learn from the masters. There will be many new initiatives in the industry that will be launched at FICCI Frames Fast Track. Rajasthan is the state partner this year and the representatives from the State’s tourism department will be at the event to meet producers to promote Rajasthan as a shooting destination.

Maroon 5 front singer Adam Levine is set to perform with his band at a fundraising event in MGM Grand, Las Vegas amid his affair allegations. The singer has been accused of cheating on his wife Behati Prinsloo with Instragram model Sumner Stroff. Following her video on TikTok, several women have spoken against him. However, it seems like this isn’t affect his work gigs.

According to NY Post, Adam Levine is scheduled to perform next month with Maroon 5 at the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation’s annual fund-raising gala which will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on October 1.

As per the report, there will be no red carpet at the gala, so the Maroon 5 singer won’t be answering any questions from reporters — despite his name being plastered all over the headlines. He is also expected to follow through with his other commitments, including the Maroon 5 World Tour.

Earlier this week, Levine made headlines after Instagram model Sumner Stroh claimed that she had a yearlong affair with the singer. While Levine denied having an affair with the model, and admitted he “crossed the line,” multiple other women came forward, claiming Levine sent them flirtatious texts and DMs.

According to Fox News, the latest accuser to come forward is Ashley Russell who shared screenshots with the Daily Mail and explained that Levine began corresponding with her after viewing her Instagram stories. Before Russell, Levine’s former yoga teacher, Alanna Zabel, claimed she received text messages from Levine that led to a violent outcome.

Meanwhile, Adam Levine, who is married to former Victoria’s Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo, is expecting his third child with his wife of eight years.

After Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar and Aanand L Rai will be reuniting for a third film. While Atrangi Re released on the digital platform Disney+ Hotstar, Raksha Bandhan released in theatres in August 2022 but failed to create any magic. Back in 2021, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films announced a biopic Gorkha, based on the life of Major General Ian Cardozo. He was the legendary officer of the Gorkha regiment of the Indian Army (5th Gorkha Rifles). The film will be helmed by National Award-winning director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan. Now, there’s finally an update on when the project is going on floors.

Akshay will essay the role of the war hero who fought in the wars of 1962, and 1965, and most notably in the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. As per a report in a daily, the makers are planning to take the biopic on floors by March 2023. They want to keep the project as authentic as possible and refine it before the film’s shoot begins. As per the report, the makers want to showcase the war differently from what has been depicted previously on-screen, so far. They are ensuring to deep dive into the life of the war hero, speaking to the colleagues to etch out the characters in the movie. The scripting is underway and will continue till March of next year. The makers tentatively plan on beginning the shoot in 2023 summer.

Presented by Akshay Kumar and Colour Yellow Productions in association with Cape of Good Films, Gorkha is produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma and directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan.

Young actor Ty Tennant, who is the eldest son of David Tennant, will reportedly star in the upcoming episode 6 as Aegon II Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel House Of The Dragon. The character was first introduced as a toddler in the third episode of the spinoff show.

In a feature image shared by Winter Is Coming Twitter account, the 20-year-old actor dons a blonde wig as he transforms into Aegon II Targaryen. The actor will play an older version of Aegon II Targaryen, the son of King Viserys and Alicent Hightowe.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Aegon is a major player in the events of House of the Dragon, which chronicles the action leading up to and during the Dance of the Dragons, the name the poets of Westeros gave to a devastating civil war that burned down the Targaryen empire.

Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen is named her father’s heir to the Iron Throne, but as time goes on, King Viserys remarries and gives birth to Aegon, whom many in the realm think should be his successor as the firstborn male. Following the time jump of 10 years, Episode 6 will feature Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke in the roles of Rhaenyra and Alicent, respectively.

Sixth episode of House Of The Dragon will be released on 26 September.

Brahmastra has been receiving a lot of love and appreciation from the audience and considering its theme, the film also has many fan theories doing the rounds. If you have seen the Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt starrer, you would be aware that the character of Dev will return in the next instalment of the trilogy. The character of Dev was not explored in the earlier instalment and fans have been developing many theories over the same. In a recent interview, where Ayan Mukerji revealed that the next part of Brahmastra will about Dev, he also mentioned that it will be darker version compared to the part one of the franchise.

Brahmastra Part One Shiva focused on the character Shiva essayed by Ranbir Kapoor, who was also the Agni Astra. His power was fuelled further by the strength of love with Alia Bhatt playing the role of his lover. Now, the second part of the film is expected to focus on Dev, a grey character in this fantasy adventure drama. Although there is a brief mention of him in the first instalment, a full-fledged story is expected to be developed in the sequel. Speaking to PTI, Ayan said, “It is a love story and Shiva got his power from love. But ‘Part Two: Dev’ will be a darker and juicier story in terms of the dramatic conflict. The follow-ups will be darker for sure.”

He further went on to speak about the film adding, “Some of the themes of Part One will still be used. It is one tale and everything that we set up in part one will make sense by the time you see Part Three. I will make time to read it (reviews) properly in the next few days.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Friday dropped the first motion poster of her upcoming movie Shaakuntalam with Dev Mohan. All set to treat her fans again, she is busy prepping for her upcoming project, Citadel.

A source close to the actress reveals, “Samantha has been working on getting into her character for Citadel in the US. She is following a very strict fitness and lifestyle regime there to get into the physicality of her character in the series. Over there, she is training with renowned experts working in the entertainment space for action.”

Citadel, produced by Russo Brothers, will have an Indian version starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. It will be directed by director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The American series stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden and is expected to air in 2023.

On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has an exciting slate of projects ahead including Citadel, Shaakuntalam, Kushi, and Yashoda.
