Apple and Selena Gomez on Tuesday announced that the highly anticipated documentary feature film, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, directed and produced by Alek Keshishian, will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on November 4, 2022.

After years of being in the limelight, Selena Gomez has achieved an unimaginable level of stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light.

As an artist, Gomez has sold more than 210 million singles worldwide and amassed over 45 billion global streams of her music. This year, she received a Grammy nomination for her first all-Spanish EP and an Emmy nomination for her role in the critically acclaimed series Only Murders in the Building, in which she stars opposite Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Alek Keshishian directed the most successful documentary of its time – the iconic, critically acclaimed film Madonna: Truth or Dare still regarded as one of the most influential films of its genre.

This film marks the second project for Apple with producers Lighthouse Management + Media and Interscope Films following their collaboration on the Emmy Award-nominated documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.

Back in 2019, producer Ektaa R Kapoor had announced her next production KTina with Disha Patani. At the time, the actress was busy with the shoot of Malang and was also on signing spree. She was already prepping for the role and was even taking Punjabi speaking lessons. But, reportedly, the project was backburner during the lockdown. Now, it seems like the producer is keen on reviving the project but not with Disha Patani as the lead.

As per a report in a daily, Ektaa R Kapoor is considering Nushrratt Bharuccha and Ananya Panday for the lead role. With Nushrratt, Ekta had worked on Dream Girl whereas Ananya is set to star in the sequel, Dream Girl 2. The movie will be written by Raaj Shaandilyaa, and directed by Ashima Chibber. Now, the game is on who will bag the lead role.

Meanwhile, Ananya Panday has an a line-up of projects. Her last release Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda failed at the box office. She will be next seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav. She has also signed Dream Girl 2 with Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead.

On the other hand, Nushrratt Bharuccha will next star in Ram Setu with Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez, which is set to release on Diwali 2022. She also has Chhorii 2. She will also team up with Akshay Kumar, Diana Penty and Emraan Hashmi in the Hindi remake of Driving Licence, Selfiee.

South Korean actor Lee Jung Jae has contracted COVID -19 after returning to Korea. The Squid Game star recently created history by becoming the first Asian actor in history to win Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

According to Soompi, on September 20, Lee Jung Jae’s agency Artist Company announced that the actor had tested positive for COVID -19 after undergoing a routine PCR test upon his return to Korea. On September 18, Lee Jung Jae returned to Korea from the United States after his historic Emmy win.

“In accordance with disease control protocol, actor Lee Jung Jae underwent PCR testing after he returned to Korea on September 18, and his test results came back positive,” stated the agency in an official statement. “Actor Lee Jung Jae has currently halted all of his scheduled activities, and he is self-isolating in accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities.”

“Our agency will adhere strictly to health authorities’ guidelines and do our utmost to help our actor focus entirely on his recovery, while considering his health our top priority.” Per the report, Lee Jung Jae’s friend Jung Woo Sung and his Squid Game co-stars Park Hae Soo and Jung Ho Yeon—all of whom took the same flight with him back to Korea—have all tested negative.

South Korean courtroom comedy drama One Dollar Lawyer has reportedly canceled its press conference as the lead actor Namgoong Min tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Soompi, on September 20, representatives of One Dollar Lawyer revealed that lead actor tested positive for COVID-19 via a self-test kit, leading to the decision to cancel the press conference. The team informed by issuing an official statement writing, “Hello. We are informing you of the cancellation of the press conference for SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama “One Dollar Lawyer.”

The statement continued, “This morning, “One Dollar Lawyer” lead actor Namgoong Min felt unwell, so he carried out a test with a self-test kit and confirmed that he was positive [for COVID-19]. Thus, he is currently planning on conducting a rapid antigen test. However, for the sake of the actor’s health and on-site safety, we inevitably had to cancel the press conference as well as the “2 O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show” radio live appearance scheduled for today.”

“We apologize for causing inconvenience to the reporters and viewers who expressed interest in the online press conference,” the statement further read. One Dollar Lawyer will premiere on Friday September 23 at 10 p.m. as scheduled without changes to the broadcast schedule. We will notify you again after we discuss the ways we can provide an alternative to the press conference. We ask for your generous understanding once again.”

One Dollar Lawyer is a moving courtroom comedy about a pro bono lawyer who helps those in need for just a dollar a case, premiering on September 23 on Disney+ Hotstar. Starring Namkoong Min as Cheon Ji Hun, a star lawyer with a high win rate who charges his clients one dollar per case; Kim Jieun as Baek Mu Ri, a lawyer born into a family of ‘legal royalty’.
