The new season of The Kapil Sharma Show not only includes some interesting addition to the star cast but it seems that the show will also miss some of its popular regulars. The chat show not only is popular for its fun quips but it is also known for its star-studded affair. The first guest on the show is Akshay Kumar who will be seen alongside his Cuttputlli co-stars in the new season. However, the new season of the show will miss stars like Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh who will not be regulars on the show. Chandan Prabhakar too has confirmed that he is not a part of the new season.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Chandan Prabhakar revealed that he wanted to take a break from The Kapil Sharma Show. “I will not be a part of this season of The Kapil Sharma Show and there is no specific reason. I just wanted to take a break,” he said. For the unversed, Chandan has been a part of the show ever since its inception and has played many interesting characters during his stint on the chat show. He was also a part of the show’s recent foreign tour.

Besides him, Bharti Singh also asserted that she wouldn’t be a regular on the show owing to her work as well as her parental commitments due to motherhood. However, the comedian-host did confirm that she will be making brief appearances as per her schedule on The Kapil Sharma Show.

On the other hand, Krushna Abhishek too talked about quitting the show wherein he mentioned that there were some issues regarding the contract/agreement. There were rumours that the actor was not happy with the remuneration offered to him. However, in the same breath, he also maintained that he would love to return to the show.

The Kapil Sharma Show, which also features Sumona Chakravarti, Kiku Sharda, and Srishty Rode, among others, airs on Sony TV during weekends.

Peter Morgan, the creator of Netflix’s The Crown, which chronicles the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, shared Thursday that the show’s sixth season will pause production to mourn the Queen’s death.

The queen, the longest reigning monarch in British history, died Thursday at Balmoral Castle, her summer residence in Scotland. She was 96 years old. “The Crown is a love letter to her and I’ve nothing to add for now, just silence and respect,” Morgan said in a statement to Deadline. “I expect we will stop filming out of respect too.” The news came just hours after Buckingham Palace released a statement noting concern for the royal’s health.

The palace confirmed on September 8 that the Queen would remain under medical supervision at her home in Balmoral. The British monarchy announced Queen Elizabeth’s passing Thursday afternoon with a short statement. “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” the message read. “The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

The Crown is in production on its sixth season.  Its fifth season is slated to hit screens this November. The season boasts an all-new cast including Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles. Jonny Lee Miller will also appear as Prime Minister John Major.

Three actresses have so far played the role of Queen Elizabeth throughout the show’s run – Claire Foy starred as a younger Elizabeth before becoming queen, Olivia Colman during her early years as monarch, and Imelda Staunton, who will take on the role of the Queen when the show’s fifth season airs in November.

The much-awaited film, Brahmastra, has finally been released. The audiences were excited to see not just Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt chemistry, songs and VFX but also Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo. Pictures of his scene had leaked and instantly went viral, which proved how much the moviegoers were looking forward to seeing him. Moreover, he hasn’t been seen in a film for almost 4 years. Though he had a cameo in R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, here, his role seemed much more entertaining and action-oriented, which further excited his fans.

It has now come to light that Shah Rukh Khan’s character in Brahmastra has a Swades connection. His character is called Mohan Bhargav. This was also his name in Ashutosh Gowariker’s 2004 film. While SRK in Swades played a NASA employee, in Brahmastra, he plays a celebrated scientist and a member of the Brahmanch secret community who possesses extraordinary power.

An industry expert told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s interesting that Shah Rukh Khan in Brahmastra is named Mohan Bhargav. He is usually known for playing Rahul and Raj but Mohan Bhargav was also a memorable character. Hence, the moment his full name is uttered in the film, it instantly rings a bell in the minds of the viewers.”

Though the film was released only today, netizens are already tweeting in praise of Shah Rukh Khan’s dynamic cameo. The industry expert said, “So many videos have surfaced on the internet, showing viewers clapping and hooting during his scenes. Imagine what will happen when he’ll be seen in a full-fledged role in Pathaan! Be it the youth or the older generation, he has a following among every section of the audience. And the way they have reacted to his cameo in Brahmastra should give him the much-needed relief and hope for a rocking 2023.”

Besides Pathaan, which releases on January 25, 2023, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in Jawan, which releases on June 2, 2023, and Dunki, which will arrive in theatres on December 22, 2023.

Zindagi channel, which has returned with all its glory recently, is set to premiere a slice of life and award-winning telefilm, Behadd. The telefilm revolves around the parent-child dynamics and stars the beloved actor, Fawad Khan, Nadia Jamil, and Mom fame star Sajal Ali in pivotal roles. Directed by filmmaker Asim Raza, the telefilm is set to premiere on Zindagi’s DTH platforms Tata Play, Dish TV, and D2H on September 11 at 8 pm.

Written by Umera Ahmed, Behadd brings together aspiring, relatable, and simple characters that strike a chord with the audiences in no time. The telefilm reflects upon the strong and sensitive relationship between a mother and daughter and how the slightest hint of selfishness in emotions can lead to pain and heartache.

Behadd traces the journey of a single mother, Masooma aka Nadia Jamil, who is left to take care of her daughter Maha aka Sajal Ali after the unfortunate death of her husband. Along her journey as a single parent, Masooma crosses paths with Jamal aka Fawad Khan and they realize that they have much more in common than they could ever hope for. As their bond grows deeper, Maha experiences feelings of insecurity and possessiveness towards her mother. A series of events and certain actions of Maha cause Masooma and Jamal to drift apart.

Talking about the show and her experience, actor Sajal Ali said, “Behadd is a film that highlights various aspects of a mother-daughter relationship and its dynamics. Slipping into Maha’s role was extremely challenging as it required me to portray drastic emotions, thus adding many layers to the character. Moreover, it was a great experience working with incredible actors like Nadia Jamil and Fawad Khan. Apple on Thursday announced that it has landed the global rights to a new documentary feature about singer, songwriter, actress, producer, entrepreneur and activist Selena Gomez, Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me, directed and produced by Alek Keshishian.

After years in the limelight, Selena Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light.

As a recording artist, Gomez has sold more than 210 million singles worldwide and amassed over 45 billion global streams of her music. This year, she received a Grammy nomination for her first all-Spanish EP and an Emmy nomination for her role in the critically acclaimed series Only Murders in the Building, in which she stars opposite Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Alek Keshishian directed the most successful documentary of its time – the iconic, critically acclaimed film Madonna: Truth or Dare, still regarded as one of the most influential films of its genre.

This film marks the second project for Apple with producers Lighthouse Management + Media and Interscope Films following their collaboration on the Emmy Award-nominated documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.
