When a student at a high school suddenly dies without explanation, the rest of the semester will be filled with vengeance against those responsible in Revenge of Others, a thrilling Star Original series coming to Disney+ Hotstar soon.

Following the suspicious death of her twin brother, Ok Chan Mi, a shooting athlete, takes the extraordinary step of transferring to her brother’s school in an attempt to uncover the truth and find out why the police and the school seemed to have covered up his death. Driven by her love for her brother and a need to understand what happened, Chan Mi will partner with another student Ji Su Heon, to exact revenge by proxy on those who bully others. Filled from the opening bell with mystery, intrigue and a series of strange incidents being thrown at Chan Mi, audiences will be left champing at the bit for each new episode of Revenge of Others.

Starring an up and coming cast of talented Korean actors, Revenge of Others stars Shin Yeeun as Ok Chan Mi, a star shooting athlete whose brother dies under mysterious circumstances; Park Solomon as Ji Su Heon, a student committed to taking revenge on other people’s bullies; Seo Ji Hoon as Seok Jae Beom, someone who is able to trace events through lost memories; Chae Sang Woo as Ji Oseong, Lee Soo Min as the secret-hiding Guk Ji Hyeon, and Chung Su Bin as Tae So Yeon.

Written by Lee Hee Myung and directed by Kim Yoo Jin, Revenge of Others will cover entirely new ground in the teen thriller drama genre, using the mystery and tension that arises from the protagonist’s search for the truth to take audiences on a wild ride together with its exceptional cast.

Los Angeles has officially designated September 17 – the day when Squid Game was premiered – as Squid Game Day, to commemorate the massive influence Netflix Korea’s Squid Game has had on American pop culture.

According to Korea JoongAng Daily, Korean-American congressman John Lee announced on Wednesday that the city council passed the resolution appointing Sept. 17 as Squid Game Day. Los Angeles city government will host a declaration ceremony on Friday in front of the city hall to celebrate the designation.

The ceremony will be attended by Eric Garcetti, mayor of Los Angeles, director Hwang Dong Hyuk, actor Lee Jung Jae and Kim Ji Yeon, the CEO of production company Siren Pictures behind the series. The resolution emphasized that the series made history “by becoming the first Korean and first foreign language series to be nominated at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, making history by bringing home three wins.”

“Squid Game marks another victory in the fight to grow representation of the AAPI [Asian American and Pacific Islander] community in film and entertainment, exposing audiences to Korean culture and traditions while paving the way for other AAPI communities to also have their stories told,” the resolution read.

After much anticipation and excitement, the Yashoda teaser, which is also Samantha’s first Hindi theatrical, unveils the plight of a pregnant woman battling the odds in the action thriller, juxtaposing the do’s and don’ts of pregnancy.

Turning into the nation’s sensation with the blockbuster success of ‘Oo Antava’ from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and the remarkable response to the much-acclaimed show The Family Man, Samantha has attained the position of one of the top female actresses in India.

There has been immense excitement and interest amongst the audience nationwide to witness Samantha’s Bollywood debut. While the actor is yet to step into Bollywood, her upcoming film Yashoda marks her first Hindi release, as the film hits the theatres in five languages, including Hindi.

The makers of Yashoda unveiled the teaser of the film today offering the first glimpse into the twisted yet intriguing world of Yashoda. Featuring a pregnant lady at the gynaecologist’s clinic, the teaser unfolds Samantha challenging the do’s and don’ts of pregnancy while packing a punch, and being chased by someone in the action thriller.

Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman’s latest outing, The Son, received a thunderous standing ovation for a whole 10 minutes on Wednesday at the end of the screening in Venice International Film Festival.

According to Variety, Hugh Jackman and Laura Dern devastated the Venice Film Festival with the world premiere of Florian Zeller’s The Son.Jackman appeared visibly moved during the film’s reception, as did the audience. Jackman hugged his young co-star Zen McGrath amid the ovation.

According to the report, The Son centers on “a family as it falls apart and tries to come back together again,” according to Sony Pictures Classics’ official synopsis. Jackman stars as a father whose 17-year-old son comes to live with him after deciding he can no longer stay with his mother (Dern) years after his parents’ divorce.

Hugh Jackman along with co-stars Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, and Zen McGrath attended the screening of the movie. The Son is Zeller’s sequel to The Father, which won two Oscars for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actor for Anthony Hopkins. The Toronto International Film Festival, which begins on Thursday, September 8, will also screen The Son as one of its featured films.
