Don’t Worry Darling director Olivia Wilde seemingly dodged a question about her rumored feud with her lead actress Florence Pugh during the press conference at Venice Film Festival.

According to Variety, when asked at a Venice press conference whether Wilde can “clear the air” about the alleged falling out with Pugh, the director said, “Florence is a force. We are so grateful she’s able to make it tonight [for the red carpet] despite being in production on Dune. I know, as a director, how disruptive it is to lose an actor even for a day, so I’m very grateful to her, and to [Dune director Denis Villeneuve] for helping us.”

“And we’ll get to celebrate her work tonight. I can’t say how honoured, I am to have her as our lead. She’s amazing. As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, the Internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute; I think it’s sufficiently well-nourished,” said Wilde. Previously, it was reported that Pugh will reportedly sit out of the upcoming psychological film’s press conference in Venice Film Festival after the film premieres.

As the report notes, the festival said that the actor’s flight to Venice from Budapest, Hungary — where she is currently on the set of the Dune sequel — was arriving only after the press conference, giving her time to walk the red carpet, but not to speak to media. Pugh is currently in the middle of production on Dune 2, a massive blockbuster and is expected to go straight back after her Venice obligations.

Starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Gemma Chan, Olivia Wilde and Chris Pine, Don’t Worry Darling hits theaters on September 23.

The excitement for Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is tremendous and this is evident by the fact that several shows have been fast-filling. The film is all set to be released on September 9 and today, Ranbir, Alia and director Ayan Mukerji, posted a video, wherein they announced that a special pre-release show of the film will be held in Mumbai a day before release – on September 8. Moreover, the trio assured fans that they’ll be present at this screening.

Interestingly, they didn’t give any details of the venue or the show timings. Ten minutes after Alia Bhatt posted the video, the official Instagram handle of PVR Cinemas revealed that this screening will be held in their property at Oberoi Mall, Goregaon East, Mumbai and that bookings are open. What happened next stunned the makers and the exhibition community.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The tickets for this show were sold out in just 4 minutes. We couldn’t believe our eyes. Mind you, this is a 315-seater screen. We expected the tickets to be sold within an hour or so. However, in under 5 minutes, the show was house-full! Of course, this was due to the fact that audiences would get a chance to see Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt live. But we can’t deny the fact that the movie has generated tremendous excitement among moviegoers and that was also a strong factor.”

The pre-release screening of Brahmastra will be held in the P[XL] screen. It is a much-in-demand audi due to its wide screen size.

The source revealed, “Looking at the response, the makers and PVR are toying with the idea of holding one more screening, in PVR Oberoi Mall. There could be more shows in other theatres too. A clearer picture should emerge in a few hours from now.”

Sean Penn and Ben Stiller have been officially and permanently banned from entering Russia as both actors were personally sanctioned by the Russian foreign ministry over their support of Ukraine during the current invasion.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Penn and Stiller have been permanently banned from entering Russia, as are 23 other “members of the US Congress, high-ranking officials, representatives of the business and expert communities, as well as cultural figures.” Russia’s foreign ministry made the announcement Monday in response to what it calls “the ever-expanding personal sanctions by the G. Biden Administration against Russian citizens.”

“The hostile actions of the American authorities, which continue to follow a Russophobic course, destroying bilateral ties and escalating confrontation between Russia and the United States, will continue to be resolutely rebuffed,” a statement reads. “Though maybe it has more to do with the fact that Russia is invading Ukraine at the moment and not America’s “Russophobic course” that is “destroying bilateral ties” between the two countries. Just a thought.”

Ben Stiller and Sean Penn joined Rob Reiner and Morgan Freeman, both sanctioned in May, on Russia’s growing ban list that also includes President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Attorney General Merrick Garland and more politicians, journalists, intelligence officers and professors. During his time visiting the war-torn country, Penn was witness to the onset of the Ukraine invasion, as he met with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy the day before Russian troops started their siege.

He had traveled to Ukraine for a documentary centered around the ongoing invasion. The actor has always been very vocal about his views on politics. In February, he issued the following statement, “Already a brutal mistake of lives taken and hearts broken, and if he doesn’t relent, I believe Mr. Putin will have made a most horrible mistake for all of humankind. President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have risen as historic symbols of courage and principle. Ukraine is the tip of the spear for the democratic embrace of dreams. If we allow it to fight alone, our soul as America is lost.”

Sean Penn is the founder of the non-profit CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), which is currently aiding Ukrainian refugees inhabiting Poland.

Not too long ago, social media was abuzz with the news of former beauty queen Sushmita Sen dating London-based businessman Lalit Modi. The latter even spoke about it on social media, where he tagged her as his love on his bio. However, the businessman dropped her name recently from the bio and once the news came into the limelight, it was being said that the couple may have possibly been separated.

For the uninitiated, earlier the Instagram bio of Lalit Modi read, “”Founder @iplt20 INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE – finally starting a new life with my partner in crime. My love @sushmitasen47 (sic).” However, the last part of the bio with Sushmita Sen was dropped on Tuesday. He has even changed his Instagram display picture to a solo photo of him with the Indian National Flag filter. This has sparked several speculations about the couple going their separate ways. His current bio reads, “Founder @iplt20 INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE – Moon (sic).”

In July, Lalit Modi had announced about their relationship on social media, with a few photos of him and Sushmita Sen returning from a holiday. He had said, “Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families – not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally.
