Bollywood fans have something to look forward to as Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan are to share screen space in a supernatural thriller film directed by Vikas Bahl. The highly anticipated movie is yet to be titled and is being produced by Panorama Studio and Ajay Devgn Ffilms.

According to the latest reports, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which is owned by renowned film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, has recently bought a 7,470 square feet plot located in Juhu Gaothan, Andheri West for a whopping ₹31.30 crore.

According to documents accessed and shared by IndexTap.com, the transaction between the production house and Portion Trading Pvt Ltd was recorded on April 10. The documents stated that Nadiadwala’s company paid a stamp duty of ₹1.87 crore for the plot and the transaction rate was ₹41,900 per square foot.

Nadiadwala’s banner is one of the leading production houses in Bollywood, having produced many hit films like the Baaghi series starring Tiger Shroff, Heropanti, Kick starring Salman Khan, and Judwaa. Several of their recent movies, such as Housefull, Judwaa, Baaghi, and Heropanti, have also had sequels. Nadiadwala’s 2018 franchises Judwaa 2 and Baaghi 2 both grossed ₹100 crore worldwide at the box office. The Nadiadwala family has been in the film industry since 1955 and has produced over 200 films.

Sajid Nadiadwala, the film producer, has an upcoming movie named Satyaprem Ki Katha, which features Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The movie is currently under production and its release date has not yet been announced. In addition to that, Nadiadwala’s production company is also backing another movie titled Bawaal. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and features Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie is slated to release in the current year, but the release date has not yet been revealed.

The 2018 blockbuster Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor, made the words ‘Ghapa Ghap’ famous. In the Sanjay Dutt biopic, Vicky Kaushal’s character utters the phrase and it was slang for sex. It was allowed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and cleared the film with a U/A certificate. Five years later, the CBFC, however, asked ‘Ghapa Ghap’ to be censored from an upcoming film, Jogira Sara Ra Ra.

Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma, Jogira Sara Ra Ra has been passed with a U/A certificate and 7 cuts. The words ‘daal de…mere’ and ‘Chub raha hai’ were asked to be muted by the CBFC’s examining committee. A cuss word, which was not mentioned in the cut list, was also censored. At one point, the dialogue ‘E lo…nahin jaayega’ was removed and also the visuals shown in that scene. In some scenes, the objectionable ‘finger gesture’ visuals were removed and replaced with suitable visuals. The anti-smoking ticker was inserted in a smoking scene. And finally, ‘Ghapa Ghap’ was removed and replaced with suitable words. The cut list mentions that the said dialogue is between a brother and a sister.

After these changes were carried out, the makers Jogira Sara Ra Ra were handed over the censor certificate on May 8. The length of the film, as mentioned on the certificate, is 121 minutes. In other words, this romantic comic caper is 2 hours and 1 minute long.

Interestingly, Jogira Sara Ra Ra was all set to release this Friday, on May 12. But due to multiple releases, the makers decided to postpone the film. Jogira Sara Ra Ra will now be released on May 26. However, since the initial plan was to release it in the second week of May, the makers had begun the censor process so that they could get the certificate before May 12.

Popular singer-songwriter Papon was recently hospitalized at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He announced that he was not feeling well. In addition, he revealed that his 13-year-old son stayed with him throughout the night at the hospital.

On Friday, Papon took to his Instagram account and shared the news of him being hospitalised. In the picture, he could be seen resting on bed while his 13-year-old son is sitting on a chair besides him. The duo was all smiles as they looked at the camera. Sharing the post, he wrote in caption, “We all fight these small battles alone. I don’t personally like posting these incidents on social media. But last night was different. It was for the first time, my little boy who is all of 13 opted to be the night attendant at the hospital!

It’s a emotional moment and I wanted to share with my friends and well wishers :)”

He further added, “I remember all those times I used to do this for my parents. I wish they were around to witness their grandson Puhor taking his turn already !

Blessed I feel and thank you all for all the blessings and good wishes!”

“I am feeling much better now!” he concluded.

Papon has a strong relationship with his son. Last year, on the occasion of his son Puhor’s 13th birthday, he organized a special trip to Doha so that he could watch the FIFA World Cup 2022 match.

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui faced controversy after appearing in a Sprite advertisement, which led to a case being filed against him and the CEO of Coca-Cola’s Indian division for allegedly “hurting the sentiments” of the Bengali community. Later, Sprite India issued a statement apologising for “unintentionally hurting the community”. However, in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Nawazuddin broke his silence over the matter and expressed his support for the community.

The actor acknowledged the community’s objections and stated that no person or community should be hurt. He further added that he respects all religions and communities and it was never his intention to hurt anyone’s sentiments. Nawazuddin asserted, “They apologised, right? What more can I say?”

He further added, “It’s good to ensure that no person or community should be hurt. That was dubbing. I had no dialogue. I see it as a good thing that the makers took it in a good way and apologised. The fact is no one should be hurt.”

For the unversed, the Bengali dubbing of a Sprite soft drink ad featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui caused controversy as it was accused of “hurting the sentiments” of the Bengali community. The ad promoted a new feature where buyers can scan a given QR code to listen to jokes, with the actor laughing at one of them. In the Bengali version, the joke about Bengalis preferring to sleep hungry if they don’t get anything easily was deemed offensive.

The controversy led to a case being filed against the actor and the CEO of Coca-Cola India, which owns Sprite. The brand issued an apology for “unintentionally causing offence”.

Speaking of the professional front, the 48-year-old actor will be next seen in Jogira Sara Ra Ra. Directed by Kushan Nandy, the film also stars Neha Sharma. It is slated to release on May 26, 2023.
