Logout taps into the modern-day problem of digital dependence, resonating deeply with today’s audience and exploring the dangers of being entrapped in a virtual world. With its timely and relatable theme, the film promises to captivate and provoke thought about the ever-growing influence of digital dependence and the security of our digital lives.

No Deepika Padukone in King with Shah Rukh Khan; Siddharth Anand in talks with Sonam Bajwa

Over the last 3 days, there has been tremendous noise around Shah Rukh Khan’s next film, the Siddharth Anand directed King. While a notorious report stated that Deepika Padukone will be doing an extended cameo in the action thriller, director Siddharth Anand debunked the theory on social media, calling it “False” news. We spoke to our sources, who confirmed that Deepika Padukone is NOT a part of King, as that’s a combo Aditya Chopra now wants to keep exclusive to Pathaan 2.

But we have got another exciting piece of information nonetheless. Our highly placed sources confirm that Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan have cast Sonam Bajwa to play a key role in King. “Sonam is a superstar of Punjab and is all set to make her debut with Shah Rukh Khan in King. The actress is doing multiple films – from Housefull 5 to Baaghi 4 and more – and King is set to be her biggest till date,” source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source further informed that Sonam Bajwa will have an extended cameo in King, however, the exact character dynamics are kept under wraps for now. King is slated to go on floors in June 2025 with a schedule in India. The film also stars Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles.

Saif Ali Khan’s project with Hansal Mehta is the adaptation of ‘Black River’, author Nilanjana Roy confirms

Last month, news about Saif Ali Khan teaming up with Hansal Mehta for a book adaptation of author Nilanjana Roy was out after the filmmaker announced it. It is now learnt that the book in question is the author’s best-selling novel ‘Black River’.

Author Nilanjana Roy herself confirmed the news and revealed the name of the book on Monday with a post on X that read, “It be official! Thrilled (and thank you, Saif and @mehtahansal, for your faith in Black River).”

Currently in early pre-production, Black River is still in the script development phase, with Hansal Mehta working on refining the screenplay. The film is expected to begin shooting by mid-2026.

A murder mystery at its core, ‘Black River’ explores themes of love, friendship, and grief. Set in the fictional village of Teetarpur near Delhi, the story centres on the murder of an eight-year-old girl named Munia. The novel, written by Nilanjana Roy, was published in 2022.

Saif Ali Khan, last seen in the Telugu film Devara: Part 1, is also attached to Race 4. Amid ongoing speculation about the film’s ensemble cast, producer Ramesh Taurani has clarified that only Saif and Sidharth Malhotra are currently in talks as the project is still in its scripting stage.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is preparing for the release of Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, in which he stars alongside Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is slated to premiere on Netflix on April 25.
