Television actress Aditi Sharma, known for her role in the ongoing Colors TV series Apollena, is currently embroiled in controversy as her husband, Abhineet Kaushik, has accused her of infidelity. The couple, who had reportedly kept their marriage a secret, is now heading for a divorce just six months after tying the knot.

According to reports, Aditi and Abhineet, who had been in a live-in relationship for years, secretly married at her residence in Goregaon. The couple even invested in a lavish 5 BHK property together. However, the relationship has since taken a bitter turn.

Abhineet’s lawyer, Rakesh Shetty, confirmed the development, stating that the couple had mutually agreed to keep their marriage a secret to safeguard Aditi’s career. “She was after me to get married for the past one and a half years, but I wasn’t ready. After much persuasion, I agreed. However, she insisted that no one could know because marriage was a taboo in the industry,” Abhineet revealed in a statement to India Forums.

The allegations against Aditi stem from her alleged affair with Apollena co-star Samarthya. “Even the producer, Karishma, was aware of it. Abhineet caught Aditi and Samarthya together, which led to an ugly confrontation,” Shetty claimed. When Abhineet confronted Aditi, the latter denied these accusations, and reportedly made an insulting statement against their marriage as she reportedly stated, “It was just a ‘mock trial’ and not legally binding”, Kaushik shared.

As the marriage crumbles, financial disputes have also surfaced. Abhineet and his lawyer disclosed that Aditi’s family has demanded Rs. 25 lakhs as alimony. “They insisted on a divorce and, during a lawyer-arranged meeting, Aditi’s side demanded ₹25 lakh. Things took a violent turn when her father slapped Abhineet, and Aditi got hurt in the scuffle,” Shetty further added.

With accusations flying and tensions escalating, the couple is now in the process of legal separation. While Aditi Sharma has yet to make an official statement regarding the controversy, the drama surrounding her personal life continues to make headlines.

Ahead of its release on March 14, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared The Diplomat, starring John Abraham, with a condition—the makers must include a disclaimer stating the importance of maintaining good relations with neighbouring countries. The political thriller, directed by Shivam Nair, is inspired by the 2017 repatriation of Uzma Ahmed. The decision came after the film was screened for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in the first week of March. The CBFC certification, granted on March 6, also included minor edits to specific scenes and dialogues.

MEA Screening and CBFC’s Directive
As per a report by Mid-Day, the MEA’s review aimed to ensure that the film’s narrative did not negatively impact India’s diplomatic ties with Pakistan. Following the screening, the CBFC mandated a visual and audio disclaimer clarifying that the film, though inspired by real events, is a dramatized portrayal and does not reflect the Indian government’s official stance. The disclaimer was deemed essential as the movie is set in Pakistan, a politically sensitive backdrop for international relations.

The report quoted a source saying, “Considering the film is centred on international diplomacy, a disclaimer was necessary to underline that while inspired by real events, the geopolitical representation is fictionalized. The film is set in Pakistan, and given the sensitivities of India-Pakistan relations, this step was crucial.”
Real Names Retained, Minor Edits Implemented
Despite the disclaimer directive, the CBFC permitted the use of real names in the film. This includes Uzma Ahmed’s name for Sadia Khateeb’s character, as well as references to former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, diplomat JP Singh (played by Abraham), and Prashant Jadhav. The certification process also required slight modifications—a violent scene involving a young boy killing a woman was trimmed, and an expletive was muted.
The Diplomat: A Political Thriller Based on True Events
The Diplomat revolves around the real-life incident of Uzma Ahmed, who, in May 2017, escaped from her husband’s house in Pakistan and sought refuge at the Indian Embassy in Islamabad, claiming she was forced into marriage. John Abraham plays Indian diplomat JP Singh, who led her repatriation. The film, produced by Abraham in collaboration with T-Series, aims to highlight the complexities of international diplomacy while presenting a gripping narrative.

With the CBFC’s clearance and disclaimer in place, The Diplomat is set to release as scheduled on March 14.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai bungalow, Mannat, is set to undergo renovations this summer. The actor and his family will temporarily relocate from their famous Bandra residence to facilitate the renovation and expansion work. However, the project has encountered a setback as an activist has raised concerns about potential violations in the renovation plan, prompting a request for the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to intervene and halt the work.

According to a report by Bar & Bench on Monday, social activist Santosh Daundkar has filed a complaint with the NGT, accusing Shah Rukh Khan and the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) of violating regulations in obtaining the necessary Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance for the renovations at Mannat. Since the bungalow is a Grade III heritage structure, any alterations can only be made after obtaining the appropriate permissions.

The report further states that Shah Rukh Khan plans to expand the six-storey bungalow by adding two additional floors. The appeal also accuses the actor of committing fraud by combining 12 one-bedroom flats, originally intended for mass housing, into a single residence for his family.

The NGT has now directed Daundkar to provide evidence supporting his allegations. A bench consisting of Judicial Member Dinesh Kumar Singh and Expert Member Vijay Kulkarni stated, “If any violation of the above procedure has been committed by the Project Proponent or the MCZMA, the same may be submitted by the appellant specifically along with the evidence in support of that, within four weeks, failing which we would be left with no option but to dismiss the present appeal for non-compliance of the order of this Tribunal, at the stage of admission itself.” The NGT will revisit the case on April 23.

Mumbai’s Andheri Magistrate Court has dismissed actress Tanushree Dutta’s FIR against actor Nana Patekar. The case, filed at Oshiwara police station on October 10, 2018, was related to an alleged sexual harassment incident from March 23, 2008.

The court ruled that the case was time-barred under the Limitation Act. The police had earlier submitted a ‘B summary report’ citing lack of evidence.

Tanushree did not seek condonation for the delay in filing, and the court found no sufficient grounds to proceed. Over 100 people were reportedly present on set during the alleged incident, but no strong evidence supported her claims.

Advocate Padma Shelatkar stated, “My clients failed to understand the reason for coming up with these false allegations. With a large fan following built through hard work and dedication, they believe the accusations were made solely to tarnish their reputation with an ulterior motive.”

She added, “However, some individuals misuse the law to target respected names in the industry, which is unfair and unethical, impacting the careers of veterans. My clients have endured significant hardship over the past seven years, facing immense stress and trauma, which I have personally witnessed.”

“Today, the Hon’ble Andheri Magistrate Court dismissed the complainant’s case. This case serves as a reminder for those who may be unfairly targeted with ulterior motives under the guise of the #MeToo movement. We had faith in law and order, judiciary and we are delighted with the outcome of the case today,” she concluded.

The 25th IIFA Awards 2025 was held in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was a highly memorable affair. The actors and media from across the country came out in full force and it dominated the discussion online, despite India winning the ICC Champions Trophy at the same time. The Green Carpet was also highly memorable where the celebrities gave interesting statements. One such statement came from Shahid Kapoor. At the press conference held on March 8, he and Kareena Kapoor Khan stole the show. Both dated at one point and hence when they got into an animated discussion and spoke in a friendly manner, the internet couldn’t keep calm as it was a rare occurrence. Many remembered their much-loved film Jab We Met (2007) and netizens said it was a “reunion of Aditya and Geet”, the characters played by them in this iconic flick.

On the same day, a dapper-looking Shahid Kapoor walked the red carpet for the IIFA Digital Awards. He was asked about the viral moment and he said, “For us, it’s nothing new. Aaj hum stage par mile. Hum idhar udhar milte rehte hai. It’s totally normal for us. But if people felt nice, that’s nice.”

War 2: “Sensational” dance number loading

Meanwhile, Bosco-Caesar were on cloud nine as they won the IIFA Award for Best Choreography for the hit song ‘Tauba Tauba’ from Bad Newz. At the Green Carpet, they spoke about the much-awaited dance number in War 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. They told Firstpost, “The experience has been absolutely sensational.”

Bollywood Hungama was the first one to break the news in April 2024 that after giving the audience an unforgettable experience of seeing Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff dance in War (2019), the makers, Yash Raj Films, have decided to go one level further with the dance face-off between the two leads of the sequel. The song was finally shot recently in Mumbai.

Coming Soon: Mom 2

Lastly, during the main awards night, on March 9, Boney Kapoor said that he’s planning a film with Khushi Kapoor and that it might be called Mom 2. Bollywood Hungama has learned from a source that the film is indeed being planned and that it’ll surely be a sequel to Mom.

A source told us, “Boney has been planning this movie for several months. Once things are finalized, it’ll be announced. Besides Mom 2 and No Entry sequel, there are a few more films in the pipeline for Boney.” A few weeks ago, Bollywood Hungama exclusively reported that the enterprising producer has bought the South remake rights of the Marathi blockbuster, Baipan Bhari Deva (2023).

Mom was the last film of Sridevi before her untimely demise on February 24, 2018. The film also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna and was a revenge drama. Although Boney Kapoor stated that his film with Khushi might be called Mom 2, Bollywood Hungama has learned from a source that the film is indeed being planned.

The makers have officially announced that the film will now premiere in theatres worldwide on May 16, 2025.
