Netflix has released the trailer for Nadaaniyan, offering a glimpse into the whirlwind romance between Pia Jai Singh (Khushi Kapoor) and Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim Ali Khan). What starts as a simple arrangement soon takes an unexpected turn as emotions take over.

Nadaaniyan follows Pia (Khushi Kapoor), a South Delhi diva crafting her perfect love story, and Arjun (Ibrahim Ali Khan), a middle-class overachiever aiming to lead the debate team. When Pia convinces Arjun to pose as her boyfriend for a flawless romantic facade, their no-strings-attached plan unravels as real feelings and misunderstandings take over, challenging the idea of a scripted love.

Filmmaker Mohit Suri has recreated a large-scale music festival for his next film, marking the Bollywood debut of Ahaan Panday. The sequence, shot over the past week at Vrundavan Studios in Malad, features 1,000 background artistes. Vanvaas is an emotional journey that celebrates the beauty of relationships. Sparking much excitement among fans of the sleek action thriller Race, Ramesh Taurani announced a few months ago that he is working on the fourth instalment of the popular entertainer. Adding further, he also insisted that it will also mark the return of Saif Ali Khan who has been the male lead in two, out of three of its instalments. Now, recent reports suggest that Rakul Preet Singh too have been roped in for the same.

In a report in India Today, sources have confirmed that Rakul Preet Singh has been signed on for a film that is produced by Ramesh Taurani and features Saif Ali Khan. Although the sources have not spoken on Race 4, the details provided clearly indicate that it is the only film that fits the bill. “Rakul is set to team up with Saif Ali Khan for an exciting new project under Ramesh Taurani’s banner. After the success of Mere Husband Ki Biwi, she’s making smart choices, and this film will only add to her momentum,” the source was quoted, as per reports. While Rakul has been a part of action films in the past, the source also insisted that this will be a different and challenging role for her, without divulging much on her character.

Speaking about Race 4, Ramesh Taurani had provided an update to PTI regarding the progress of the film wherein he had revealed, “We are finalising the script and cast. We haven’t finalised the director either. We will announce the film officially before we go on the floor, most likely next year.”

Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh is busy with the shoot of De De Pyaar De 2. The actress is set to play Ayesha Khurana in the romantic comedy as she reunites with Ajay Devgn. The sequel will also feature R. Madhavan in a key role. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film is expected to release in November, this year.

Minutes after Kangana Ranaut announced her truce with Javed Akhtar, I spoke to Javed Saab on why he decided to call off his legal battle. Javed Saab said, “She has given a letter of regret and apologies. Unconditionally withdrawn all her words and statements making a commitment that she will never repeat them again. Apologies for all the inconveniences caused to me. This is what I wanted and this what I got.”

For those who came in late, Javed Akhtar filed an elaborate defamation case against Kangana Ranaut for her repeated allegations that he summoned her to his home and “threatened” her for speaking out about her alleged relationship with Hrithik Roshan.

According to sources close to Javed Saab, no such threat was ever issued. Javed Saab is by nature very tolerant. But this was going on for too long. Remedial action had to be taken. Javed Saab filed an elaborate defamation case against Kangana. Javed Saab was ready for a long battle ahead, with no question of an out-of-court settlement.

Javed Saab wanted this lawsuit to be an example to all those “who think they can get away with saying anything about film personalities because they are too busy or too indifferent to retaliate. Aisa nahin hai. People must learn to be careful about their words not only when it comes to politicians but also about others.”

The quirky show, Dabba Cartel, was released today on Netflix and it has caught attention due to its plot and solid casting. It features talented and reputed names like Shabana Azmi, Jyothika, Gajraj Rao, Sai Tamhankar, Jisshu Sengupta, Nimisha Sajayan and Shalini Pandey in leading roles. Shabana’s character of Sheila, especially, has been loved. She plays a mysterious woman who looks like a housewife but has a dark past.

Interestingly, in one of the scenes, she gives a hint about her beginnings and it has a connection with the much-loved film, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010). In the third episode, Sheila reveals that at one point, she used to work for gangster Sultan Mirza. This is the name of Ajay Devgn’s cult character in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Moreover, Shahida (Anjali Anand) asks, ‘Mumbai mafia waala Mirza sahab?’ while Mala (Nimisha Sajayan) asks, ‘Jispe picture bani thi?’. This further adds to the connection with the film.

However, those expecting Sultan Mirza’s appearance in the flashback scenes of Dabba Cartel will be disappointed. The makers leave it at Sultan Mirza’s mention. Viewers only get to know the time when Sheila left the underworld and relocated with a new identity. Dabba Cartel ends with the promise of a sequel and hopefully, Season 2 will focus more on Sheila’s past life.

Dabba Cartel is the story of a group of women who are compelled to sell drugs while also running a tiffin service. They reside in a society full of employees working for a pharmaceutical company. The company is in deep trouble after they are alleged to have made and distributed a banned drug. The issue comes to the fore due to an unfortunate accident in Amritsar. An honest drug officer and an ambitious cop team up to find the truth, leading to chaos and madness.
