Set against the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh, Doree recently returned to Colors television with its second season as a grown up Doree continues her fight against female infanticide and women empowerment. She is accompanied by her father Ganga essayed by Amar Updhayay. However, in the recent development, the latter is locked in jail in a false case against him. Owing to the same, the actor has been missing from the screen. However, recent reports have a different theory as they claim that the actor is planning on quitting the show.

Recent reports have stated that Amar Upadhyay is not happy with the track of his story and hence, decided to bid adieu to Doree 2. According to a report on ETimes, considering the current plotline, where Doree is married to the lawyer Mann Thakur where the storyline focuses on their track and the challenges she faces in the Thakur household, Amar Upadhyay doesn’t have much screen time. Hence the actor hasn’t been shooting much for the second season. The reports claimed that the actor feels that his storyline has been underutilised. It is being said that the actor only shot for a day in February and that due to his commitments with the show, he also missed out on another interesting project. Reports have asserted that after a closed-door meeting with the makers, the actor has decided to quit the show.

However, the actor has refrained to make any statements regarding the same. In an interaction with Telly Chakkar, Amar Upadhyay maintained, “No comments, wouldn’t like to speak about it right now”.

Meanwhile, after the second season’s premiere last month, Amar Upadhyay had expressed his happiness and shared his journey with the show, wherein he had said, “The most exciting part of this journey for me is watching Doree’s character unfold and knowing that Ganga Prasad’s guidance has played a role in that. As an actor, it is a beautiful and emotional experience to see the character you have been portraying grow and evolve in such a meaningful way. Ganga is a proud father who has shaped Doree into the woman she is today. It is truly special to be continuing this journey in the second season”.

Doree Season 2 features Priyanshi Yadav as the grown-up Doree along with Sreejita De as the antagonist as it airs from Monday to Friday at 10:30 pm.

The movie will be distributed by GA2 Pictures and will premiere in theatres across Andhra Pradesh starting March 7, 2025.

Chhaava, the historical epic chronicling the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is set to debut in Telugu. Originally released in Hindi, the film will be dubbed and theatrically released in Telugu on March 7, 2025, following audience demand.

The Telugu release of Chhaava will be handled by GA2 Pictures, the distribution arm of Geetha Arts. With experience in distributing over 300 Telugu, Hindi, and English films, they aim to bring Chhaava to the Telugu-speaking audience.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, with Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. Since its release on February 14, the film has surpassed ₹417.20 crore GBOC in India in just 11 days.

With its storytelling and performances, Chhaava brings the legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to the screen. The Telugu version aims to expand its reach, bringing the story of the warrior to a wider audience. The film is set to release in Telugu soon.

Fans are excited to see Ranveer Singh carry forward the Don franchise after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Don 3 was first announced in 2023, but reports have suggested production delays. Director Farhan Akhtar, in a recent interview with India Today, confirmed that the film will begin shooting this year.

When asked for an update on the project, Farhan Akhtar clarified, “I’m not avoiding any questions. Don 3 will begin filming this year, and 120 Bahadur is set to release by year-end.”

In November last year, Excel Entertainment issued a statement addressing the delay rumors. It clarified, “The makers and Ranveer Singh are on the same page that the timelines of Don 3 remain unchanged. Any such news of postponement is not true. With the timelines firmly in place, the mandates for Don 3 remain ambitious — delivering a cinematic spectacle that lives up to the franchise’s legacy while setting new benchmarks.”

In 2023, a special announcement video introduced Ranveer Singh as the new face of the Don franchise. He also shared a childhood picture of himself reenacting the iconic character at home. Expressing his gratitude, he wrote, “I understand what a great responsibility it is to be a part of the Don dynasty. I hope the audience gives me a chance and showers me with love, the way they have for numerous characters over the past so many years.” Kiara Advani will star alongside him in the lead role.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which premiered during Diwali last year. Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar is preparing for the release of his next production, Superboys of Malegaon. Starring Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan, the film is set to hit theatres on February 28.

Mumbai’s most iconic celebrity residence, Mannat, is set to undergo a massive transformation, and with that, Shah Rukh Khan and his family are preparing for a temporary shift. Starting this May, construction workers are expected to kick off an extensive renovation work will begin at his residence, while fans of the superstar will definitely be disappointed as they wouldn’t be able to spot the celebrity superstar who makes appearances on the terrace to meet his fans occasionally.

Sources have revealed to Hindustan Times that the renovation is expected to last two years, and that the new residence may include two additional floors which was added to the Mannat annexe – for which Gauri Khan had sought approval from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) in November last year.

Meanwhile, during this period, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, and their children are reportedly going to relocate to Pali Hill, where the superstar has allegedly leased four floors in a luxury apartment built by renowned producer Vashu Bhagnani. It is being said that a leave and licence agreement too has been signed between SRK’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment as well Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, kids of Vashu Bhagnani, who are also the co-owners of Puja Casa. Confirming the same, sources have asserted though the new residence may not match the grandeur of Mannat, it does offer ample space for the family and SRK’s extensive security and staff. The superstar will reportedly be paying a staggering ₹24 lakh per month for the four floors. However, there has been no confirmation from the Khan family or Bhagnanis.

For now, while Mannat undergoes its much-anticipated facelift, fans can only wait for the grand reveal of the revamped mansion, which promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Indian filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee and his film Binodiini Ekti Natir Upakhyan won three top honors at the South Asian International Film Festival of Florida (SAIFFF): Best Director, Best Actress, and Audience Choice Best Film.

The Bengali biopic, centered on Bengal’s legendary theatre icon Binodini Dasi, captivated a packed audience at the NCG Theatre in Tampa, with tickets selling out within ten minutes. The film was praised for its storytelling and recreation of a bygone era, drawing standing ovations and acclaim from both the jury and festival attendees.

Bengali actress Rukmini Maitra won the Best Actress Award for her portrayal of Binodini Dasi, while Ram Kamal Mukherjee received the Best Director Award, marking his first international honor for this film. The Audience Choice Best Film Award was presented to producers Prateek Chakravorty (Pramod Films) and Dev Adhikari (Dev Entertainment Ventures) for their backing of the project.

Bollywood actor and former Mr. India and Mr. International Aryan Vaid accepted the Best Director Award on Mukherjee’s behalf. “I am thrilled to see Ram Kamal’s Bengali debut garner such prestigious recognition. Having known him since his days at Stardust magazine and witnessing his National Award-winning success with Ek Duaa, this moment is well deserved. I was also delighted to see my co-actor Rahul Bose feature in the film. Congratulations to Ram, Rukmini, and the entire team,” said Vaid in a press statement.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude in an official statement to US media, Ram Kamal Mukherjee remarked, “Winning the Best Director Award at SAIFFF is profoundly special. Seeing Rukmini Maitra’s hard work acknowledged on an international stage is immensely gratifying. I am also elated for my producers, Prateek and Dev, whose faith and investment made this challenging project a reality.”
