Saif Ali Khan resolves queries on his health condition; addresses conspiracy theories regarding the stabbing incident

Followed by the surprising presence made by Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at the recent Netflix event in Mumbai, the internet is abuzz with theories revolving around the stabbing incident with many even raising questions on the incident. Addressing these ongoing rumors about Taimur getting him admitted to the hospital, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s absence around him and other theories floating around, Saif clarified on these during an interview with Bombay Times.

Saif Ali Khan opens up about how he sustained those injuries during the attack

As he went on to describe how he decided to jump in to protect his wife and kids, Saif Ali Khan revealed that during the initial stages of attack, he failed to feel any pain due to the adrenaline rush. “I didn’t. It didn’t really hurt because there’s too much of adrenaline and shock at that moment. And then he was slashing at my neck, and I was blocking it with my hand. There were slashes to my palm and my wrist and arm. There was all this violence – slashing with both hands, most of which was kind of defended. And yeah, I fought with him, but I couldn’t handle it after a while because there were these two knives in action. And I was just barefoot, bare-handed in a kurta pajama,” Saif told BT.

Khan answers questions about Kareena’s whereabouts during the incident

He added, “And I was just praying that someone could get this guy off me at this point. And my incredibly lovely househelp (Geeta) pulled him off me and shoved him away.” Furthermore, speaking about what his wife Kareena was upto, Saif shared, “Kareena, in the meantime, had taken Jeh out and gone to Tim’s room. While this fight happened, Jeh was taken out. I remember Kareena screaming ‘Take the kid out!’” The actor insisted that his wife was attempting to keep their kids, especially their younger son Jeh safe from the intruder, as the latter was holding the youngest born as hostage when he attacked the house.

“Kareena was shouting for a rickshaw, or a cab, or anything. I said, I kind of feel some pain. There’s something wrong with my back. She said – you go to the hospital and I’ll go to my sister’s house. She was making calls frantically – but nobody was up. And we looked at each other, and I said, ‘I’m fine. I’m not going to die.’ And Taimur also asked me – ‘Are you going to die?’ I said, ‘No.’,” added  the Devara actor.

Saif talks about the absence of a driver and Taimur accompanying him to the hospital

He also opened up about the driver’s absence insisting that they have these staff only during events since they too have a home to go too. He revealed that they decided against waiting for a driver as it would have taken longer. Saif insisted that they were on a lookout for a rickshaw when his son Taimur expressed concern and asserted that he would accompany him. “My wife sent him knowing what he would do for me. Maybe it wasn’t… at the moment, it was the right thing to do. I felt good about it. And I also thought, if God forbid, something happens, I’d like for him to be there. And he wanted to be there also. So, we went – him, me and Hari – in the rickshaw. The rickshaw guy saw the blood and he knew something had happened. But I think because of the kid, he kind of gave the whole thing some respectability. He saw that we were decent people, somehow. I don’t know how. And he was so amazing – he took a shortcut and took it easy on bumps. He drove me to Lilavati” Khan recalled.

Khan asserts that it is a ‘miracle’ that he survived

Describing his most critical injury, Saif said, “They said a good three-four inches of the knife has gone in behind the shoulder blade and has worked its way right to the bloody spinal cord. It’s a massive stab and it’s broken off, and it’s nicked the cover of the spinal cord. And there’s spinal fluid leaking out, which is why the feeling in the leg was going. That’s how close it came: Just one more millimetre and we’d be talking paralysis. It’s not like, you know, a back spasm or something that we’re underplaying.”

However, he expressed gratitude over his ‘miraculous’ recovery and clarified on the conspiracy theories saying, “Close is close. You’re either paralysed or you’re not. That’s how life is, right? I mean – you’re either hurt or not hurt. There’s 25 stitches here and there’s 30 stitches there. If you start with the two slashes on my palm and my arm – they had both not even cut a tendon. They could have cut the artery and the wrist and the veins, they could have cut… It’s just a miracle that my hands and my fingers are working fine. A guy cuts himself in the palm in the kitchen and then he can’t move his little finger for the rest of his life, you know.”

“So that’s a miracle. I have like 30 most awful scars running down my neck. I don’t understand how he missed my carotid artery and jugular vein… it’s not possible to cut somebody’s neck the way my neck is cut, and not kill them,” he asserted.

Legal action filed against Ranveer Allahbadia over controversial question on Samay Raina’s show

Social media is in uproar as netizens slam YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia for his controversial remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. His unsettling question to a contestant has triggered widespread backlash, with many calling for strict action against him and others involved.

According to ANI, legal action has been initiated against Allahbadia.

A complaint has been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the show’s organizers.

Lodged with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women’s Commission, the complaint accuses them of using abusive language on the show and demands strict legal action.

The controversy erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia, who has over 10 million YouTube followers, asked a contestant an inappropriate and offensive question, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”

His remarks left fellow judges, including Samay Raina, comedian Ashish Chanchlani, and influencer Apoorva Makhija, visibly shocked and speechless.

Responding to the backlash, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “I have come to know about it. I have not seen it yet. Things have been said and presented in a wrong way. Everyone has freedom of speech, but our freedom ends when we encroach upon the freedom of others. In our society, we have made some rules, and if someone violates them, it is absolutely wrong and action should be taken against them.”

The controversy has sparked renewed debates on responsible content creation and the need for stricter regulations on digital platforms. While the accused have yet to issue an official statement, public outrage continues to mount, with netizens criticizing Allahbadia and Samay Raina for their “crass comedy.”

Recently, Samay Raina’s show made headlines again when legal action was taken against a participant for making insensitive remarks about the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

Saif Ali Khan rejects security measures after stabbing incident; says, “I never wanted to walk around with three of these guys”

After being stabbed in an attempted robbery at his Bandra residence last month, Saif Ali Khan and his family took precautionary security measures, such as installing CCTV cameras outside their home and enlisting Ronit Roy’s security agency for protection. Despite this, Saif Ali Khan prefers not to rely on security or walk around with bodyguards.

In a recent interview with Delhi Times, Saif Ali Khan expressed his views on security and stated. “I’ve never believed in security. People were saying, ‘Why don’t they have more security?’ I’ve never believed in security. I don’t want it. I never wanted to walk around with three of these guys. I think it would be a nightmare for me. And I still won’t, because I don’t think this is an attack on me. I’m not under threat. None of us are under any kind of threat. This is a mistake that happened.”

Following the attack, reports emerged that Ronit Roy’s Ace Security and Protection, also known as AceSqad Security LLP, would handle Saif Ali Khan’s security. The agency has previously provided protection for stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. After Saif was discharged from Lilavati Hospital, Ronit Roy was spotted speaking with police personnel outside the actor’s Bandra residence.

Ronit Roy was also seen outside Satguru Sharan Apartments a day after the attack and was present at Lilavati Hospital during Saif Ali Khan’s surgery. As an additional precaution, Saif and Kareena Kapoor have installed CCTV cameras in their residence.

However, Saif Ali Khan maintains that he is not under any direct threat and does not believe his life should change after the attack. “It’s not going to change my life and it shouldn’t, because that would be… it would be wrong because, I mean, this is not one of those scenarios. This is somebody who is trying to steal something because of desperation,” he explained.

Saif is now recovering well from his injuries and is actively promoting his upcoming film, The Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins.

Chhaava was passed with a U/A 16+ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). However, the film had to go through certain modifications. Salman Khan opens up on prison, hard work, and discipline: “I couldn’t do anything about it”

Salman Khan opened up about his time in prison during his first-ever podcast appearance on Dumb Biryani, hosted by his nephew Arhaan Khan. The actor shared personal and professional experiences in the candid conversation.

Salman Khan briefly opened up about his time in prison during his conversation on Dumb Biryani. Reflecting on his journey, the Dabangg star shared insights into his personal and professional experiences, making it one of the most talked-about moments from the podcast.

Salman Khan, while discussing the importance of hard work and discipline, stressed that making excuses—like needing more sleep—only hinders success. He emphasized the value of persistence and dedication in achieving one’s goals.

He said, “‘I am tired.’ No, get up. No matter how tired you are. ‘I don’t get sleep.’ Don’t sleep. Do something; you’ll automatically go to sleep. So I don’t understand these things… I sleep for an hour and a half or two hours, and then someday, once a month, I sleep for seven hours.”

Salman added, “Somedays, I’ll get a five-minute break between shots, so I’ll sleep on the chair. In places where I cannot do anything, like when I was in jail, I slept. I couldn’t do anything about it… When it comes to your work or family, the effort that you have to keep on putting in… you just need to be there for friends and family and work.”

Salman Khan’s imprisonment was linked to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. In April 2006, he was sentenced to five years in prison and remanded to Jodhpur jail but was released on bail a few days later. In 2018, a Jodhpur court sentenced him again in a related case, and he spent a few days in prison before securing bail once more.

Salman Khan will next be seen in AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. The film is set to release on Eid this year.

Last year, Salman Khan shared a glimpse from the sets of Sikandar. Apart from Sikandar, he will also be seen in Kick 2 in the coming months.

Pritam Chakraborty files police complaint after Rs 40 lakh stolen from his Mumbai office

Music director Pritam Chakraborty has reportedly fallen victim to a major theft, with around Rs 40 lakh in cash allegedly stolen from his Mumbai office. The incident was discovered recently, leading Pritam to file a police complaint. An FIR has been registered, and authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.

Pritam Chakraborty’s manager has filed a complaint at Malad police station after a staff member allegedly stole ₹40 lakh from the composer’s office. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Ashish Sayal, is currently on the run. Police have formed teams to track him down.

The theft reportedly took place around 2 PM on February 4 at Pritam Chakraborty’s Goregaon-based music studio, Unimus Record Pvt. Ltd. A production house representative had delivered a bag containing ₹40 lakh in cash to Pritam’s manager, Vineet Chedda. At the time, staff members Ashish Sayal, Ahmed Khan, and Kamal Disha were present. Authorities are investigating the case and questioning those involved.

An officer said, “The manager, who took the cash, kept it in a trolley bag in the office and subsequently went to Chakraborty’s house, which is in the same building, to get his signature on some documents.”

Upon returning, Chedda found that the trolley bag containing the cash had vanished. When questioned, other staff members claimed that Ashish Sayal had taken the bag, stating he was transporting it to Pritam’s residence.

Police revealed that Chedda attempted to contact Ashish Sayal, but his calls went unanswered. His suspicions grew when Sayal switched off his phone entirely. Realizing something was amiss, Chedda promptly informed Pritam Chakraborty, who instructed him to file a complaint with the authorities immediately.

“On the music composer’s advice, he approached the police station and lodged a complaint. A case of theft has been registered, and we are trying to trace the suspect. We are reaching out to his relatives and also working on leads through his mobile phone’s call data record,” an officer said.

Authorities are continuing their investigation, but the stolen money has not yet been recovered. Pritam’s spokesperson confirmed to ETimes that the police are handling the matter but declined to comment further.

Pritam, known for composing hit soundtracks for Barfi!, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Brahmāstra, has yet to make a public statement on the theft.
