Indian music composer and singer Anu Malik, along with his wife, Anju Malik, has sold two apartments located in the same residential project and on the same floor in Santacruz West, Mumbai, for a total of Rs. 14.49 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards on the website of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR). The transaction was registered in February 2025.

Santacruz West is a strategically located suburban neighbourhood in Mumbai’s western region, characterized by excellent connectivity and robust infrastructure. The area is well-served by major roads and a railway station and is situated near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. This, along with its proximity to Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai’s key commercial hub, adds to its appeal.

As per the IGR property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards, the two apartments sold by the couple are located in Khushi Belmondo on the same floor. The total built-up area of these apartments is 233.64 sq. m. (~2,515 sq. ft.), and the agreement also includes a total of two car parking spaces. The transaction incurred a total stamp duty payment of Rs. 86.91 lakh and registration charges of Rs. 30,000.

Khushi Belmondo is a ready-to-move-in residential project developed by Khushi World Developers. According to Square Yards’ Project Data Intelligence, one transaction amounting to a gross transaction value of Rs. 19 crore was registered with the IGR in Khushi Belmondo between January 2024 and December 2024.

Anu Malik is a renowned Indian music composer and singer known for his versatility and contributions to Bollywood music. With a career spanning over four decades, he has composed music for numerous hit films, earning widespread acclaim for his distinctive style. He won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for Refugee (2001) and multiple Filmfare Awards, including Best Music Director for Baazigar and Main Hoon Na. His work in movies like Border, Judwaa, Ishq, and Mohra remains iconic. Anu Malik has also been a prominent judge on reality shows like Indian Idol, further cementing his legacy in the Indian music industry.

Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal marked the beginning of Chhaava’s Pan-India promotional tour with a spiritual visit to Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The actor, known for his dedication to roles, sought divine blessings from Lord Shiva ahead of the much-anticipated film’s release on February 14.

In a photo, Vicky Kaushal was seen performing a ritual at the revered shrine, dressed in a traditional dhoti and an orange stole draped over his shoulders. With folded hands and focused devotion, he made offerings at the sacred Shivling, surrounded by temple priests and devotees.

Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, is a historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film is expected to be an intense portrayal of valour, patriotism, and sacrifice, with Vicky Kaushal in the titular role. With grand-scale promotions planned across India, the visit to Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga sets the tone for the film’s journey leading up to its release.

Before starting the tour, Vicky graced Bollywood Hungama’s Hangout, a fan meet-and-greet event. Speaking of his camaraderie with co-star Akhaye Khanna, who is playing the antagonist, Vicky said, “When we were shooting that scene, we exchanged no good mornings, goodbyes, or hellos. He was Aurangzeb, and I was Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and there was no communication as Vicky Kaushal to Akshaye Khanna.”

He further added, “It took Aurangzeb nine years to find and get hold of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. So, a lot of the film shows his quest to find him. There are some moments together, but the film is about them thriving to meet each other, and that will leave you waiting for that face-off to happen.”

The Bombay High Court is set to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on February 19, seeking a thorough investigation into the deaths of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager, Disha Salian. The PIL, filed by the ‘Supreme Court & High Court Litigants Association of India’ through its president, Rashid Khan Pathan, urges the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to arrest and interrogate Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray in connection with the cases. The plea also requests the court to direct the CBI to submit a comprehensive report.

The PIL has sparked significant attention, with Aditya Thackeray filing an intervention application, arguing that the court should hear him before passing any orders. Thackeray has contended that the PIL is not maintainable, as the case is already being probed by the state authorities. The hearing on February 19 is expected to address these arguments and determine the next steps in the ongoing investigation.

For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. The Mumbai police initially registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) but later handed over the case to the CBI after Rajput’s father filed a complaint in Bihar, alleging that the actor’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and her family had abetted his suicide. The CBI has since been investigating the case, with no conclusive findings yet.

In addition to the CBI probe, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating allegations of money laundering involving Rhea and her family, while the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is looking into claims of drug use. Disha Salian, Rajput’s former manager, died on June 8, 2020, after falling from the 14th floor of a residential building in Malad. Her case, too, was registered as an ADR and remains under investigation by the Malwani police.
What to Expect from the February 19 Hearing

The upcoming hearing on February 19 is expected to address the maintainability of the PIL and the demands for further investigation into both deaths. The court will also consider Aditya Thackeray’s intervention application, which seeks to present his side before any orders are passed. The hearing could potentially bring new developments to a case that has remained in the public eye.

The ongoing interest in bringing a sequel to Ghajini into movie theatres took a new turn when at an event in Mumbai to promote Naga Chaitanya’s forthcoming film Thandel last week, the distinguished Ghajini producer Allu Arvind suggested to Aamir that they work together on a sequel to their 2008 blockbuster Ghajini.

Netizens and portals went wild on hearing what they thought was a public proclamation of the producer-actor’s plans. But here is the thing: I spoke to the very gracious Allu Arvind about the Ghajini sequel, and he replied, “No Sir, I was kidding with him (Aamir).”

In 2008, producers Madhu Mantena and Allu Arvind joined hands to produce the biggest blockbuster of Aamir Khan’s career. Ghajini released on Christmas Day in 2008, Ghajini became Filmistan’s first film to earn over Rs 100 crores.

Earlier, multiple reports claimed that both Aamir Khan and Suriya (the latter played the same part in the Tamil original) were in “simultaneous” talks with the producers Allu Arvind and Madhu Mantena for a sequel.

Even then Allu Arvind replied, “No Sir, we have no such plans.”

Farah Khan marked her foray into direction with the star-studded Main Hoon Na that featured an ensemble cast from Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, Kirron Kher, Boman Irani, Naseeruddin Shah, Suniel Shetty, among others. The film, which went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters, is all set to get a sequel, according to current reports. While fans of the film will definitely be excited to watch this reunion on screen, we hear that it is already on the cards.

As per a Pinkvilla report, a source was quoted telling how the film is special for Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who was also the co-producer of the film with wife Gauri Khan under the banner Red Chillies Entertainment. The source said, “Main Hoon Na is the first film produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan under their banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, and the film is very close to their heart. Farah has cracked an idea for Main Hoon Na 2, and Shah Rukh has loved the route she plans to take for the sequel. Farah is presently working to crack the screenplay with her team of writers, as also the ones working with Red Chillies”.

The source also insisted that the superstar has insisted that the sequel should have a larger impact than the first instalment and has asked the choreographer-filmmaker to leave no stone unturned. “SRK is clear to not make a sequel just for the sake of it and is well aware of the fan following that Main Hoon Na has among the cinema-going audience. He has asked Farah and his in-house team of writers to honestly work on the screenplay and come up with something that surpasses the impact of first part. He is expected to hear the first draft by mid-2025 and then take a call on the same. The script is presently in the development stage,” added the source.

Speaking of the past collaborations between Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan as the filmmaker, the duo have joined hands for films like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year. Meanwhile, on the work front, the superstar is expected to return to the silver screen with King which will also star Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, and Abhishek Bachchan. Written by Sujoy Ghosh and directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is expected to be a gangster drama.

ESPN and the NBA today unveiled the rosters for the 2025 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, taking place at Oakland Arena in Oakland, Calif. on Friday, February 14, at 7 p.m. ET exclusively on ESPN platforms, including ESPN, ESPN + and Disney +.

The star-studded roster features celebrities from all walks of entertainment and sports including Punjabi music sensation AP Dhillon. Each team will also feature a WNBA star, with two-time Atlanta Dream All-Star Allisha Gray and WNBA Champion and Golden State Valkyries forward Kayla Thornton on opposing rosters.

Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha recently became the center of attention on social media after his comments about the UCC (Uniform Civil Code) being imposed in Uttarakhand went viral. While the All India Trinamool Congress MP appreciated the move, he also called for a country-wide ban on non-veg which did not go down well with netizens, who felt hurt and insulted by the politician comparing food to marriage and property rights.

When asked about the UCC being imposed by the Uttarakhand Government, Shatrughan Sinha told ANI, “”Implementation of UCC in Uttarakhand, is prima facie, commendable. UCC must be there in the country and I am sure everyone will agree with me. But there are many fine prints and loopholes in this… Not just beef, but non-veg food in general, must be banned in the country… But the rules which can be imposed in North India cannot be imposed in the Northeastern states… An all-party meeting must be held prior to drafting UCC provisions…”

Meanwhile netizens reacted to the statement, slamming the politician for comparing uniform civil code with food and posting several comments on the platform. “Non vegetarian food and uniform civil code, what’s he speaking?”, “Does UCC talks about common food too”, “UCC covers non vegetarianism ???”, “UCC is not for food habits… its about marriage and property rights..”, “Food has nothing to do with UCC”. “This is plight of MPs who only spread disinformation all the time, A long time parliamentarian Mr Sinha  thinks that food is going to be subject of UCC”, “This is the knowledge of Law of our lawmakers. Even God cant save this country,” were some of the remarks made by netizens who extremely disappointed with Sinha’s opinion on the matter. Apart from this, the actor-politician, also received flak from the social media users for Sonakshi Sinha’s inter-religious marriage with Zaheer Iqbal.

While the excitement was building around the release of Shashank Khaitan’s rom-com, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, we have heard from our reliable industry sources that the Karan Johar production is no longer releasing on April 18, 2025 as announced. A very close source to the film confirms that the shoot for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has been extended to March.

“Karan and Shashank feel that there is scope for more fun elements in the film, and hence they have planned another schedule to be canned around the destination wedding moments. The entire cast, including Varun and Janhvi will be a part of this schedule. The idea is to enhance the film further to hit the bull’s eye. Karan is a master of this genre and is leaving no stone unturned to serve the audience with two big-scale rom-coms: Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Teri Tu Mera in 2025 and 2025 respectively,” the source told Bollywood Hungama further.

Further talking about what exactly Karan and Shashank are looking to shoot, the source continues, “Apart from some scenes, the makers will also be shooting for 2 songs. Around 25 days of shoot remains, which has led to a delay in release. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will hit the big screen in the second half of 2025,” the source shared with us.

The date of Sunny Sanskari will now be taken by another Dharma film, and the release date announcement is around the corner.
