The first edition of Amazon MX Player’s StreamNext event featured global marketing leaders like Sir Martin Sorrell, Benedict Evans, and prominent entertainment industry figures. The event highlighted the evolving landscape of content consumption in India and how Amazon MX Player is positioning itself as a key partner for advertisers. Bobby Deol (Aashram 3), Suniel Shetty & Jackie Shroff (Hunter 2), Remo D’Souza & Malaika Arora (Hip Hop India 2), Ashneer Grover (Rise and Fall), and others were present. Amazon MX Player unveiled its slate of over 100 new shows for 2025.

Bedi also highlighted that the MX Player app is one of the most downloaded apps in India with over 1.4 billion downloads on Play Store. Amogh Dusad, Head of Content, unveiled an exciting lineup of more than 100 new shows set to launch in 2025, including 40 new Hindi originals and returning seasons of India’s beloved and award-winning shows like Aashram, Hunter, Jamnapaar, Half CA, Hip Hop India, Sixer, Who’s your Gynac and Playground. New series with innovative story lines were also announced, such as Bhay centering around an Indian paranormal investigator, The Titan Story,  which tells an inspiring tale of India’s first super brand, along with a new reality show – Rise and Fall, a unique competitive format where players begin as equals, vying to become a ruler or remain a pauper. The event also showcased the marketing fraternity an expanded suite of new interactive and shoppable ad formats for Amazon MX Player. These formats include in-stream shoppable ads where  viewers can browse a product during ad breaks, immersive formats where brands can effectively communicate their message. It all started when Akshay wishes Priyadarshan on Twitter saying, “Happy Birthday, Priyan Sir! Responding to the tweet, Priyadarshan replied and announced, “Thank you so much for your wishes Akshay kumar. In return I would like to give you a gift. I’m willing to do Hera Pheri 3. Are you ready Akshay, @suniel.shetty & @pareshrawalofficial.” His reply fans into a frenzy.

Suniel Shetty, who has always been vocal about his fondness for the Hera Pheri franchise, quickly jumped on the excitement train. Taking to Twitter, he responded enthusiastically to Priyadarshan’s post with, “Hera Pheri aur pooch pooch!!! Let’s do this #HeraPheri3.”

While Salman Khan fans cannot stop rejoicing the return of the superstar on the occasion of Eid with another actioner Sikandar, it seems that a new update on his upcoming projects is definitely going to be adding to their excitement. As per current reports, Salman, who will be sharing screen space with Rashmika Mandanna for the first time for this A.R. Murugadoss film, will possibly be reuniting with her onscreen again, even before this movie hits cinemas.

Sources have informed that Atlee, who had earlier announced his keen desire to work with Salman, will be collaborating with the latter for a film which will possibly have Rashmika as the leading lady. Although neither the actors nor the filmmaker have shared any confirmation, a Filmfare report has hinted at this possibility. A source was quoted by the publication saying, “Both Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna had a great working dynamic on the sets of Sikandar. Rashmika’s performance in Pushpa 2 impressed both Salman and Atlee, as well. That’s why the makers have decided to sign her for Salman and Atlee’s upcoming film, too.”

Meanwhile, Atlee too had opened up about casting for his next film in an earlier interview with Pinkvilla where he had said, “I am going to surprise everyone with the casting. What you are thinking, yes (that’s true). But you are going to really be surprised. And I’m not being pompous, but it’s going to be the proudest film of our country. We want a lot of blessings, just pray for us. The casting is on the edge, and it’s going to happen in a few weeks. We will have the best, best, best announcement coming soon to you all.”

Readers would be aware that the popular South filmmaker received much love across the country for his film Jawan which featured Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in lead roles. Fans expect the filmmaker to follow a similar route for his next entertainer too, thereby sparking ample excitement.

On the other hand, coming to Sikandar, the film marks the first collaboration of Salman Khan with A.R. Murugadoss and has Sajid Nadiadwala producing it. Apart from him and Rashmika Mandanna, the film also features an ensemble cast that includes the likes of Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Patil Babbar, among others.

If sources are to be believed, Priyanka Chopra will walk away with a staggering Rs 30 crores fee, the highest ever paid to a female actor in Hindi cinema, for her female lead in S S Rajamouli’s untitled jungle adventure starring Mahesh Babu.

This fee, reportedly less than what Mrs Jonas had asked for, came after months of negotiation between the two teams.

“This is why they took so long to announce her participation in the project. She was not willing to budge over her fee, and why should she? Why should only the men actors get double-digit salaries in our films?” a source in the know informed this writer from Hyderabad.

With Rajamouli’s untitled jungle adventure, Priyanka Chopra becomes the highest paid Indian actress of all times.

More info on the film: the jungle action adventure will feature Mahesh Babu as a desi Rambo slashing his way through thick foliage. The actioner is likely to be shot in Thailand and also in India.

She pointed out Monalisa, a young woman who went viral for her appearance at the Maha Kumbh 2025, and criticized the harassment Monalisa faces for her looks. Kangana questioned why the industry lacks young actors with dusky skin tones and emphasized the need for more representation.

Kangana Ranaut shared a picture of Monalisa on Instagram, praising her natural beauty while expressing concern over the harassment Monalisa faces. Kangana questioned the lack of dark, dusky female representation in the entertainment industry and asked, “Do we have dark dusky Indian tone female representation in the glamour world anymore? Are people appreciating young actresses as they did Anu Agarwal, Kajol, Bipasha, Deepika, or Rani Mukerji?”

She further stated, “Why do all actresses appear as pale as a white woman, even those who were darker in their younger days? Is it due to excessive use of laser treatments and glutathione injections?”

With actors constantly experimenting with genres and filmmakers, a rare and never-seen-before combination is expected to be in the works, if recent reports are to be believed. It is being said that Kabir Khan, who shares a great bond with Katrina Kaif, is keen on working with the latter’s husband Vicky Kaushal. While the two of them have often cheered and appreciated each other’s work, they have never been able to come together for a project, until now. These reports have claimed that the filmmaker and actor are already in talks for an untitled film, details of which are strictly maintained under wraps.

In a Filmfare report, it has been revealed that Vicky Kaushal and Kabir Khan are contemplating on working together for the film. Although the details are yet to be finalized with no confirmation from either side, a source was quoted sharing the details. “Kabir Khan and Katrina Kaif have had a long-standing association and friendship. Ever since Katrina and Vicky Kaushal came together, Kabir has always been a friend and mentor to Vicky. But now, after all these years, they have finally found a project, where the two can come together. The deal hasn’t been sealed yet. But it is as good as done,” stated the source.

Adding to the speculation further, Kabir Khan posted about a two-film partnership with Applause Entertainment on his social media handle last week. While the details of the cast was not yet revealed, audiences have been wondering if Vicky will be a part of one of these films.

On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal is currently a busy actor as he is neck deep in promotions, ahead of the release of his highly anticipated historical drama Chhaava. Coming from the house of Maddock Films, it is a magnum opus starring an ensemble cast and directed by Laxman Utekar. However, it is not the only film on the schedule of the Masaan actor! He also has the much-awaited entertainer Love & War with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt in the pipeline for release next year. Actor and Parliamentarian Hema Malini participated in the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj earlier this week, taking a dip in the holy Triveni Sangam on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya. A video from the event has surfaced on social media, showing Hema Malini sharing a light moment as she laughs heartily at the antics of yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

The video captures a fun moment with several VIPs and devotees taking dips in the holy river, including Hema Malini. When it’s Baba Ramdev’s turn, someone unties his long hair, and as he flips it, his wet locks end up smacking people behind him—twice! Hema Malini can’t help but burst into laughter at the amusing sight. It’s definitely a light-hearted moment amidst the sacred rituals.

These significant dates will mark major rituals at the grand religious gathering.

Hema Malini shared her joy about participating in the Maha Kumb, “It is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to take a ‘snan’ on this auspicious day.”

“Renowned actress and Member of Parliament from Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), Hema Malini, held a spiritual meeting with Junapeethadhishwar Mahamandaleshwar Acharya Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, also known as ‘Pujya Prabhushri Ji’ at the Prabhu Premi Sangh Kumbh Camp in Prayagraj and received his blessings,” the UP government said in a brief statement. The UP government also shared a couple of pictures of Malini with the seer.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the Maha Kumbh on Monday with his family, where he met Junapeethadhishwar Mahamandaleshwar Acharya Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj along with other seers. On the same day, 1.55 crore devotees took a holy dip at the Kumbh, bringing the total number of pilgrims who have participated to over 14.76 crore, according to the government.
