Shah Rukh Khan and Kartik Aaryan attended the press conference of the 25th edition of IIFA Awards which will be held in March 2025 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. They were joined by Nora Fatehi, Smt. Diya Kumari, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan and IIFA co-founders Andre Timmins, Viraf Sarkari, and Sabbas Joseph. As expected, Shah Rukh Khan stole the show with his one-liners and antics.

Shah Rukh Khan began by saying, “I didn’t realize it until 10-15 days back that 25 saal se Andre, Viraf aur Sabbas ke liye kaam kar raha hoon (smiles).”

On a serious note, he continued, “I’ve known them and I remember their hard work. They would even arrange chairs for different award functions for all of us. They would be kind to us and show us warmth. From the beginning of the show till the end, they always looked after us. Hence, they were bound to do some wonderful things. I’ve had too much fun attending IIFA. We have some wonderful memories; some of them are wild, which we can’t talk about! Inshallah, I pray for them that they continue to take Indian cinema global and on a platform which makes us relevant.”

SRK added, “It’s always fantastic performing for them. The production qualities (are superior). Initially, we used to be like ‘New York ja rahe hai, kaun dhyan rakhega, kaisa hoga’. But they used to be always there, early in the morning to pick us up at the airport and even drop us after the show.”

Shah Rukh Khan further stated, “I’ve always told them that ‘aap award show hamare desh mein karo’. Prince Diya Kumari ji insisted on the same thing. There’s no better place than Rajasthan and Jaipur to be hosting this award. Aap sab ko amantran hai. Please aaiyega. Enjoy with us and celebrate the Indian film industry.”

Shah Rukh then shared a major update about his much-awaited next film King, “I am in the middle of starting a film shoot but when they said that IIFA is completing 25 years, I had to be there. Hence, I rushed here and am hoping to be in Jaipur on March 9.”

Kartik Aaryan was given the mic, and he spoke about the excitement of hosting the 25th IIFA Awards and also sharing the stage with Shah Rukh Khan. After he was done, SRK took the microphone and quipped, Kartik is going to host the 25th year. Just so that I can pass off the baton to him, isko main seekha deta hoon ki Jaipur mein shuruaat kaise karni hai. So, you’ll have to begin by saying, ‘Padhaaro mhaare IIFA’.”

Kartik repeated the line after which SRK told him to say “Padhaaro mhaare desh Rajasthan”. Kartik did as instructed after which he told him to say “Khamma Ghani”. Kartik did that and also joined hands. Shah Rukh Khan also did Namaste and both bowed to the audience, leading to applause.

Mahesh is currently working on developing the screenplay, and Sanju is eagerly waiting to hear the finalized script,” the report quotes a source.

The sequel will be produced by Subhash Kale, with plans to begin production by the end of 2025. The project is expected to be a high-octane gangster drama, with larger-than-life dialogues and gripping sequences.

Unlike the original, Vaastav 2 will feature a two-hero dynamic. Rajpal Yadav’s father, Naurang Yadav, passed away in Delhi in the early hours of Friday. Although the actor’s team has not made an official announcement, it’s reported that he had been ill for several days.

Yadav, who was allegedly filming in Thailand, hurried to join his family in Delhi on Friday. It is said that his father was hospitalized at Delhi’s AIIMS, where he passed away.

In 2018, Rajpal Yadav shared a heartfelt post on social media praising his father. Along with a picture of them, he wrote, “My father has been the biggest driving force in my life. If it wasn’t for your belief in me, I would not be where I am today. Thank you for being my father, I love you.”

The first big film of 2025, Sky Force, was released today across the country. It has got a huge release worldwide, except in one major territory – the Middle East. Bollywood Hungama has learned that the aerial action entertainer hasn’t been released in several countries in this part of Asia like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman etc.

The reason for the ban is not known. But an industry insider said, “Sky Force deals with tensions between India and Pakistan. Some of such films in the past have faced bans in the Middle East and that could be the probable reason.”

A trade source, however, expressed surprise, “Sky Force is not jingoistic and doesn’t indulge in Pakistan bashing as some other films of Bollywood have done in recent times. Hence, this ban in the Middle Eastern belt comes as a huge surprise.”

Last year, another aerial film, Fighter (2024) was banned in the Middle East. The Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone starrer also was about the conflict between the Indian and Pakistani forces. A month later, Article 370 (2024) was not allowed a release in the Gulf countries, due to its sensitive political content. The 2023 Diwali release Tiger 3 was banned in Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar. In 2022, the Vijay Thalapathy starrer Beast was banned in Qatar and Kuwait due to its portrayal of Pakistan and terrorism.

Sky Force stars Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Sharad Kelkar and it marks the debut of Veer Pahariya. Backed by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, it is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande and Amar Kaushik and directed by debutants Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur. Inspired by true incidents, it is set in the year 1965 and is about the first aerial strike done by India during the war with Pakistan.

Diljit Dosanjh’s film Punjab 95 has experienced several delays. On January 23, he posted a message in Punjabi, hinting that the film’s release was imminent and the truth would be revealed. Based on the life of activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, the film faced a demand from the censor board to make 120 cuts due to its sensitive subject matter.

Sharing his look from the film, Diljit Dosanjh wrote, “Aj Nhi Te Kal SACH Samne Auga, SACH Nu Koi Rok Ni Sakda, Baba Karu Kirpa, Mainu Poora Yakeen Aa Koi Rah, Nikluga Te Eh Kahani Lokan Samney Augi” (Today or tomorrow, the truth will finally come out. No one can stop this truth from unfolding. I have faith that with divine blessings, a way will be found and this story will be shared with the world).

Earlier, Diljit Dosanjh and producer Honey Trehan took to Instagram to announce the delay in the film’s release. In a joint statement, they wrote, “We are sorry and it pains us to inform that the movie Punjab ’95 will not release on 7th Feb due to circumstances beyond our control,” leaving fans disappointed by the unforeseen setback.

The film, which tells the harrowing story of Jaswant Singh Khalra, who exposed the extrajudicial killings of Sikh youth by the Punjab Police in the 1990s, has faced significant interference from the CBFC. Initially, the board demanded 120 cuts to the film. Khalra, who was abducted and murdered by the police in 1995, became a symbol of resistance against state violence. Six Punjab Police officers were later convicted for his abduction and killing.

Khalra’s wife, Paramjit Kaur Khalra, has strongly opposed the censor board’s demand for cuts, insisting that the film, made with the family’s consent, should be released in its entirety. “The film should be shown to the world without any cuts,” she emphasized, stressing the importance of maintaining historical accuracy and preserving the integrity of her husband’s story.

Actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath have been implicated in a cheating and breach of trust case lodged at the Murthal police station in Sonipat district, Haryana. The FIR, registered on January 22, names the two actors among 13 accused under Sections 316 (2), 318 (2), and 318 (4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The allegations include criminal breach of trust, cheating, and fraudulent property transfer.

Ajeet Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP), Murthal, informed ThePrint that the complainant included the names of actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath in their statement to the police. Singh explained, “The main complaint is against the society that is alleged to have duped people of their money by luring them to invest. We will have to investigate what role, if any, is ascribed to Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath.”

Sonipat resident Vipul Antil filed a complaint against the Human Welfare Credit Cooperative Society, which is registered in Indore under the Multi-State Cooperative Society Act, 2002. He alleged that the society has been operating in multiple states, including Haryana, since September 16, 2016.

The society allegedly promoted fixed deposit (FD) and recurring deposit (RD) schemes with promises of high returns, using a multi-level marketing strategy that rewarded agents with incentives for recruiting additional investors.

On the work front, Shreyas Talpade was last seen in Kangana Ranaut’s directorial film Emergency, set against the backdrop of India’s Emergency period (1975–1977), a time characterized by curtailed civil liberties and press freedom. The film features an ensemble cast, including Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Anupam Kher, the late Satish Kaushik, Vishak Nair, and others, with a screenplay written by Ritesh Shah.

Alok Nath, a veteran Bollywood actor, has appeared in over 300 films throughout his career. He entered the film industry in 1982 and has portrayed a variety of roles across both television and cinema.
