On Christmas, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar announced the biggest love story of 2025 – Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The film has been buzzing on the social media ever since then, and several actresses have been trying to bag the part of female lead in the film. Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt that its a fight between Sharvari and Ananya Panday for Tu Mera Main Teri Main Tera Tu Meri.

According to sources close to the development, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan are in intense discussions to cast either Ananya Panday or Sharvari in this romantic comedy directed by Sameer Vidhwans. “Today, Kartik is the most bankable young hero and has earned the position of being involved in casting and other aspects of filmmaking. He has been exploring all the options of a female lead with Karan Johar, and the two have finally zeroed down on Sharvari and Ananya Panday,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source informed us that the duo feels both are talented actresses and have the screen presence to do a film like Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. “The female lead will be locked in a fortnight and we shall know who of the two is the lucky one to be Kartik’s leading lady in this romantic comedy,” the source told us further.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is slated to go on floors in May 2025.

After many actors who recently invested in properties, new parents Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal too have joined the list as they have reportedly purchased a luxurious apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Juhu locality for a whopping Rs 44.52 crore. The couple has acquired the 5,512 sq ft property located on the seventh floor of an under-construction tower, Twenty.

The property was purchased from D’décor Exports Pvt Ltd, a home furnishings company. According to documents on IndexTap.com, the buyers paid a stamp duty of Rs 2.67 crore for the registration of the deal, which took place on December 3. Also, these documents have revealed that the deal was valued at Rs 87,000 per sq.ft., making it one of the costliest transactions in the Juhu area.

The purchase marks a significant investment for the celebrity couple in one of Mumbai’s most sought-after neighbourhood. For the unversed, the Juhu locality is known for being a hub for Bollywood celebrities, directors, and producers, as well as industrialists and corporate leaders as it is an area known for its luxurious properties and high-end lifestyle.

Meanwhile, actor Varun Dhawan, known for his roles in films like Student of the Year and Badlapur, seems to be having a busy schedule with films being lined up for 2025. While he has been enjoying fatherhood after the arrival of his daughter Lara in June, the actor also has been wrapping up his work commitments. After receiving love for Baby John which was the last release of 2024, Varun will now look forward to the release of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari which marks his reunion with Janhvi Kapoor after Bawaal (2023). The actor also has his father’s rom-com Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with Pooja Hegde, Border 2 with Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Dinesh Vijan’s supernatural universe film Bhediya 2 in the pipeline.

As for his latest investment, we hear that the couple is looking at making this new luxury apartment their primary residence in Mumbai.

Karan Johar took a significant step in late 2024 by teaming up with Adar Poonawalla. The CEO of the Serum Institute of India picked up a 50% stake in Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment, for Rs 1000 crores and it was one of the major talking points of last year. And after this development, KJo is all set to take his business one level up – he’s all set to enter the film distribution business.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Until now, Dharma Productions had only produced films while a studio or major distributor would come on board to release these movies in cinemas. But now, Karan wants Dharma to be a complete studio, which would also release films in cinemas.”

The source continued, “Bhumika Tewari, who used to head distribution at Zee Studios, has joined Dharma Productions. She’ll be in charge of distributing in-house Dharma films. Karan has worked with her in the past for films made by Dharma and Zee like Good Newwz (2019), Kesari (2019) etc. She also has years of experience and is considered a big name in the distribution circuit. She has grand plans to ensure that films of Dharma Productions get the best possible release in cinemas across the country.”

An industry insider commented, “Karan Johar is following in the footsteps of Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films (YRF). They also have a distribution wing; in fact, YRF has made a huge name for themselves not just for producing but also distributing films. KJo wants to follow suit. It was on his mind for many years and now with Adar Poonawalla’s support, he’s finally realizing his dream.”

Meanwhile, the source also revealed, “Just like YRF also distributes films made by other banners, Dharma’s distribution wing is also expected to do the same.” However, it’s not clear when that would happen. Also, the sources are not aware if Dharma would distribute films only in India and whether they’d also have presence Overseas.

On the film front, Karan Johar is expected to begin 2025 with Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri followed by an untitled period legal drama, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday.

After the shocking firing incident outside the famous Galaxy Apartments in Bandra where Salman Khan resides, a recent renovation at the superstar’s residence has grabbed attention from many. Eight months after the bullet shots were fired, Khan is expected to have given his home a security upgrade by installing bulletproof glasses on the windows. This comes after the murder of famous politician Baba Siddiqui, who shared close relations with Khan and his family.

Salman Khan increases massive security around his home

The Bollywood superstar has added bulletproof glasses on his balcony where he often comes to greet his fans. Apart from that, we hear that the surroundings of the Galaxy apartment too have undergone some minor changes in terms of security. It has been reported that some hi-tech equipment including an upgraded CCTV system has been installed around the actor’s home in order to understand any mysterious activity around the residence, and thus prevent any more attacks on the superstar.

Attacks on Salman Khan

It is a known fact that Khan has been receiving threats which seem to have fueled up further in the past few years with anonymous notes also being sent to the actor’s father and renowned writer Salim Khan. Adding to it, Salman’s residence was attacked in April by two bikers who fired gunshots at his residence. While fortunately there were no casualties in the firing, the actor’s personal security was increased by the Mumbai police, with the Chief Minister also assuring complete protection for Khan and his family. In fact, the events also prompted the actor to apply for weapon’s license in order to ensure the safety of his loved ones.

For the unversed, the attacks have been linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who has been threatening Khan ever since the latter’s name was involved in the blackbuck case. Adding fuel to the fire, Bishnoi’s brother Anmol too have been detained in the US in relation to ongoing case of Baba Siddiqui’s murder.

On Tuesday, producers of Pushpa, Mythri Movie Makers took to social media to share all about the ‘reloaded version’ wherein they revealed that they will be adding 20 minutes of extra footage in Pushpa 2 – The Rule, from this weekend onwards. Sharing the announcement with a menacing poster of Pushparaj, the caption on the post read, “#Pushpa2TheRule RELOADED VERSION with 20 minutes of added footage will play in cinemas from 11th January. The WILDFIRE gets extra FIERY”.

More about Pushpa 2 – The Rule

Pushpa franchise traces the journey of small-time sandalwood smuggler Pushparaj who goes on to become one of the most feared gangsters. The movie features Rashmika Mandanna as his wife Srivalli and the second instalment Pushpa 2 – The Rule stars Fahadh Faasil as the main antagonist, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, who is out to seek revenge from Pushparaj for humiliating him. While the first instalment received immense love with Allu Arjun also becoming the first Telugu star to win a National Film Award, the second instalment has created history at the box office.

Meanwhile, the makers have also hinted at a third instalment being in the pipeline in the finale of Pushpa 2. Titled Pushpa 3 – The Rampage, the actioner too will be directed by filmmaker Sukumar.

A source close to the actor told us, “Nawaz will begin shooting for his next project on January 11, with a 45-day schedule ahead. He is completely packed this year as he will be having back-to-back film shoots. He is also shooting for an exciting project.”

Some time back, Nawaz spoke about how he wants his children to appreciate arts. He said in an interview with ANI, “Art is not a regular thing, you have to develop a taste for it. I have been pushing my kids to appreciate and learn about art. My daughter is 14 years old, and she is already doing Shakespeare workshops in London. From a very early age, I used to put hardcore pressure on them to decide what they wanted to see, otherwise, they’d get lost because there was so much meaningless content everywhere, so you’d have to be selective about what you want to watch and not watch.”
