A few days are left for the epic Diwali clash and the excitement is tremendous. A few days ago, we reported about the censor cuts of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and now we bring to you the exclusive censor report of the other big release this Friday, Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Jackie Shroff.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted a U/A certificate to Singham Again. However, the film had to go through several modifications. At two places, the Examining Committee asked the makers to suitably modify the 23-second-long ‘match cut’ visuals depictions of Lord Rama, Sita Mata and Lord Hanuman with that of Singham, Avni and Simmba respectively. Similarly, a 23-second-long visual of ‘Singham with Shri Ram, touching feet’ was ‘suitably modified’.

The makers were then asked to delete the 16-second visual of Raavan grabbing, pulling and pushing Sita in the drama scene. A 29-second scene of ‘Hanuman burning and dialogue of Simmba flirting’ was deleted.

At 4 places, the dialogue of the character of Zubair were deleted and suitably modified and at other places, the dialogue between Zubair and Simmba were modified. The visuals of the Constitutional head were deleted and his dialogues were suitably modified in 2 places. Presumably in one of these scenes, the visual of Avni was also suitably modified.

A 26-second dialogue and visuals were deleted and suitably modified as it “affected international diplomatic relations of India with neighbouring state”. Then, a scene of the beheading inside the police station was blurred. The colour of the religious flag was suitably modified and in the same sequence, the use of the ‘Shiv Strota’ in the background score was removed. Finally, a dialogue of Zubair, ‘Teri kahaani ka Raavan main hoon, tere chahite ko bhej’, was suitably modified. In the same scene, the colour of the flag was also modified.

Finally, the CBFC asked the makers to redraft the disclaimer stating that “This film is purely a work of fiction…Although the film is inspired by the story of Lord Ram, neither its narrative nor the characters should be viewed as revered deities…The story features contemporary characters of today…or societies, and their cultures, customs, practices, and traditions.” This disclaimer lasts 1 minute and 19 seconds while the total length of the cuts is 7 minutes and 12 seconds.

Once these changes were made, the CBFC passed the film on October 28. The final length of Singham Again is now 144.12 minutes. In other words, it is 2 hours 24 minutes and 12 seconds long. It releases on Friday, November 1.

Siddhant Chaturvedi got into the limelight with his smashing performance in Gully Boy (2019). It was no surprise that he soon bagged films from prominent production houses like Excel Entertainment, Yash Raj Films (YRF), Dharma Productions, etc. And now, we hear that he has bagged yet another significant project, in which he’ll be seen with not one but two heroines.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Siddhant Chaturvedi has come on board for a comic entertainer made by Mahaveer Jain Films. It is a high concept, hilarious comedy in which Siddhant will be seen in an interesting and never-before-seen role.”

The source further said, “The film will have two heroines and the makers hope to soon lock the cast. While Nora Fatehi is in talks for one character, the producers are also in touch with popular South actress Sreeleela for another pivotal part. The actresses have liked the parts offered to them as they are quite strong and performance driven. Also, both female characters are different from each other.”

The source also added, “The film will be directed by renowned advertising creator Ambar Chakravarty and will be produced by Mahaveer Jain and Mrigdeep Singh Lamba. They hope to take the film on floors in the first quarter of 2025.”

Siddhant Chaturvedi began his career by working in shows like Life Sahi Hai and Inside Edge. After Gully Boy made him a household name, he was seen in YRF’s Bunty Aur Babli (2021), Dharma’s Gehraiyaan (2022) and Excel Entertainment’s Phone Bhoot (2022), Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023) and Yudhra (2024). Besides the aforementioned comedy, he also has Dhadak 2 in his kitty.

Nora Fatehi, meanwhile, is in a different league after the success of the song ‘Dilbar’ in Satyameva Jayate (2018) and went on to do many more dance numbers. She was also seen in non-dancing roles in films like Bhuj: The Pride of India (2021), Crakk (2024), Madgaon Express (2014), etc.

Finally, Sreeleela is having a great run in the Kannada and Telugu cinema and has worked with some of the biggest actors down South. Earlier this year, she played the lead opposite Mahesh Babu in Guntur Kaaram (2024). There were also reports that she was approached to play a role in Varun Dhawan’s next, directed by David Dhawan.

Nearly 30 years since its original release in 1995, Rakesh Roshan is geared up to cast nostalgia by re-releasing the first ever film starring the duo of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, along with the powerpacked ensemble of Rakhee, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni and Amrish Puri. Karan Arjun which features chartbuster music by Rajesh Roshan is scheduled to re-release globally on November 22, 2024.

Hindi cinema lovers are in for a treat as Rakesh Roshan is set to create history with the biggest re-release ever with Karan Arjun in single screens and multiplex across India along with an international re-release scheduled simultaneously.

Director – Producer Rakesh Roshan shared the announcement with a new teaser of the 1995’s cult classic film. The 1-minute teaser takes viewers on a trip down the memory lane of this reincarnation – revenge saga.

30 years ago, Rakesh Roshan had done the unthinkable by bringing the duo of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, together for the very first time on celluloid as brothers Karan and Arjun, respectively. The film emerged as a Blockbuster and one of the top grossing films of the year witnessing a golden 50-week run in 76 centres and in its 75th week, the film showcased in cinema halls across 26 centres.

The film also gave India its iconic ‘cine-ma’ in the form of Rakhee Gulzar’s character Durga Singh and a menacing villain in the late Amrish Puri’s Thakur Durjan Singh. Karan Arjun also features Kajol as Sonia Saxena and Mamta Kulkarni as Bindiya.

The season of re-release is here and it is particularly heartening to see certain films, which flopped during their original run, becoming big hits when re-released. However, it is the urban, multiplex films which have mostly arrived in cinemas. There is a lot of demand for old massy classics to release in theatres as well. A few minutes ago, blockbuster filmmaker Rakesh Roshan tweeted that the teaser of Karan Arjun (1995) will be unveiled today, that is, Monday, October 28 at 12 noon. He wrote, “Back in the 90’s there were no film teasers, but today I’m very excited to present the Karan Arjun teaser to you all! Stay tuned at 12 pm.”

His tweet has led to an indication that Karan Arjun is all set to re-release in cinemas. Last week, there were also reports that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed a one minute teaser of Karan Arjun and it had also got people excited about its re-release.

Karan Arjun is a significant film as it starred superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and features them as brothers who loved each other to death. It also starred Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Rakhee Gulzar and Amrish Puri. The film is remembered for its epic casting, hit songs, powerful subject and memorable dialogues.

It now remains to be seen if Karan Arjun re-releases and if yes, when will it release in cinemas.

Salman Khan has been facing continuous threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi concerning the blackbuck case. Recently, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait suggested he seek forgiveness by visiting a temple, labelling Bishnoi a “badmaash aadmi.”

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait strongly advised Salman Khan to visit a temple and seek forgiveness. Shortly after Baba Siddique’s murder, Tikait hinted that it might be safer for Salman to apologize directly to Lawrence Bishnoi. He stressed that this issue goes beyond Salman and holds wider significance for society.

In a report by Hindustan Times, Rakesh Tikait said, “Yeh samaj se juda hua mamla hai. Salman Khan ko mandir jaa kar maafi maang leni chahiye, nahi toh jail me band aadmi pata nahi kab tapakwa de.” (This is a matter that is connected to the society. Salman Khan should go to a temple and apologise, else you never know when the person in jail might do something to harm him).

He also described Lawrence Bishnoi as a dangerous individual and stated, “Badmaash aadmi hai who.”

Salman Khan has been under heavy security since receiving death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, stemming from a longstanding feud related to the unresolved 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Despite no definitive resolution, Bishnoi has persisted in issuing threats against the actor’s life.

The issues began when Salman was implicated in the blackbuck poaching incident during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, sparking a 26-year-long legal battle. During this time, he faced a series of arrests, bail hearings, and court verdicts. In reaction to this prolonged legal conflict, Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang have made open threats against him.

Earlier this year, shots were fired outside Salman’s Galaxy apartment in Mumbai, escalating tensions following Siddique’s murder. Recently, on October 27, 2024, members of the Bishnoi community also burned effigies of Salman and his father, Salim Khan, protesting statements they saw as misleading regarding the blackbuck case.

After reports of her first film Bedhadak being shelved, star kid and social media diva Shanaya Kapoor has been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to make her screen debut. And it seems that she has bagged an interesting venture which will feature her alongside popular actor Vikrant Massey, basking in the success of 12th Fail. The film in question is a romantic drama titled Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and while reports of the same started surfacing earlier this month, the makers along with the cast have confirmed that the film has gone on floors.

Vikrant Massey confirmed the news by posting pictures on his social media platform. The actor along with the entire team of the film shared a photo of them holding a clapperboard as they commenced the shoot for their upcoming venture. Speaking about the film, it is described as, “Love is Blind… or is it the blind love? What is extraordinary is falling in love!” in the caption. It further read, “Mini Films brings to you Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, a contemporary take on romance and ghosting. Join us on this unforgettable journey of love and incredible music.”

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is set to reunite with his father, filmmaker David Dhawan, for a romantic comedy. For the same project, several names have cropped up for the leading lady role. Now, it is confirmed that Pooja Hegde will star opposite Varun Dhawan in this rom-com, tentatively titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.

Contrary to earlier reports suggesting Sreeleela’s Hindi debut in the project, sources confirm to Bollywood Hungama that Pooja is the lead, marking her first collaboration with Varun. When asked about it, Pooja hinted at more announcements, saying, “I’m exploring new roles. This year, I took a step back to reflect on my filmography and plan my next moves.”

Come November, the actor has reserved time to work on his father’s film. The second schedule of the film will commence on November 6 in Goa. A report by Mid-Day quoted a source revealing, “The second leg will begin in Goa on November 6. By then, Varun would have wrapped his promotion commitments for the Prime Video series.”

After wrapping up the Goa schedule, David Dhawan has planned a month-long shoot in Mumbai. A set will be constructed at Mehboob Studios, where filming will take place until mid-December. This will be followed by an international shoot early next year, though the details for the foreign schedule are yet to be confirmed.

This will mark Varun Dhawan’s fourth project with David Dhawan after Main Tera Hero, Judwaa and Coolie No. 1.
