Although Aamir Khan is yet to make an appearance on the big screen after Laal Singh Chaddha, it is a known fact that the superstar is working on the sequel to Taare Zameen Par titled Sitaare Zameen Par, in which he is expected to play a key role. In the midst of all the shooting and production, the actor reportedly is also keen on exploring other scripts and is in search of the right scripts for his upcoming ventures. The recent script, that he is apparently interested in, as per recent reports is the Kishore Kumar biopic by Anurag Basu.

A lot has been written about this entertainer in the past where many reports suggested that the filmmaker is keen on reuniting with Barfi actor Ranbir Kapoor for the film. While until last year, the latter claimed that his friend-filmmaker is working on the script, it has now been reported by Pinkvilla that Basu has approached Aamir Khan for the same and that Khan has also showcased interest in it. “The Kishore Kumar biopic is a subject close to the heart of Anurag Basu and Bhushan Kumar and they are looking to bring it to the spectacle in the best possible way. Aamir Khan is also a big admirer of Kishore Kumar and loved the vision that Basu has to bring the life of legend to the spectacle. The filmmaker has treated it very differently, and that’s what has fascinated Aamir the most,” a source was quoted saying it in the report.

Meanwhile, sources have also maintained that Aamir Khan is reading as many as six scripts as of now but will be finalizing three, based on whatever is feasible to his schedule of doing one film at a time.
“Aamir has taken as many as 6 films in consideration, and every film is in different stages of development. While the script of Kishore Kumar Biopic, Ujjwal Nikam Biopic, and Rajkumar Santoshi’s comedy is locked, Ghajini 2, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next, and Zoya Akhtar’s next are in the development stage,” the source added.

Anurag Basu, who will be kicking off work on the Kartik Aaryan – Triptii Dimri starrer untitled drama, is expected to wrap up the same by April 2025. And if all goes according to plan, it has been learnt that he will be commencing work on the Kishore Kumar biopic immediately after that.

ZEE5 has released the trailer for its original series and psychological drama ‘Mithya – The Darker Chapter.’ Directed by Kapil Sharma and produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Rose Audio Visual Production, the show explores the complex relationship between two half-sisters, Juhi (played by Huma Qureshi) and Rhea (played by Avantika Dassani), as they seek revenge and retribution. Set to stream on ZEE5 this Diwali, Mithya also features Naveen Kasturia, Rajit Kapoor, Indraneil Sengupta, Avantika Akerkar, Rushad Rana, and Krishna Bisht in supporting roles.

The trailer for ‘Mithya – The Darker Chapter’ immerses viewers in the psychological drama between half-sisters Juhi and Rhea. Juhi, riding high on the success of her book “Dhund,” faces plagiarism accusations from a mysterious writer, Amit Chaudhary (played by Naveen Kasturia). Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Ghamasaan was premiered at the ongoing MAMI Mumbai Film Festival last evening at a suburban multiplex. The film, inspired by real events, stars Arshad Warsi in the role of a dreaded dacoit Maharaj and Pratik Gandhi as a STF (Special Task Force) officer Aditya. Ishita Dutta plays his doting wife.

Produced by Jio Studios, the movie received a tremendous applause from the packed auditorium that had gathered to witness it. During the interaction with the cast and crew following the screening, Ishita expressed her happiness at being a part of the film and said that Ghamasaan is the first film of hers that has been shown at a festival. She also said that she saw the complete film for the first time.

At this point, Tigmanshu Dhulia took everyone by surprise. He said, “I would like to apologize to Ishita in front of everyone. She had a lengthy role, but I cut it down a lot. There was a reason behind it. In the process, the producers also went through a loss.”

Elaborating on his decision, the filmmaker added, “I had initially given her character the profession of a forest officer. But when I was editing, I felt that while showing her as a forest officer, her femininity was going away. Ladki ka jo pyarapan hai na, woh gayab ho raha tha. So, I completely removed her profession (from her character). That’s why the scenes between the husband and wife look so lovely in the film. So, my decision was good but (pointing towards Ishita) I am so sorry.”

Reacting to this, Ishita gestured that she didn’t mind that.

Earlier in the day, Bollywood Hungama was the first one to report that Ghamasan is all set to release in the first quarter of 2025.

Bollywood Hungama has been at the forefront at giving exclusive news updates about one of the most awaited films of the year, Singham Again. Earlier, we broke the viral and also disheartening news that Salman Khan won’t shoot for his much-awaited cameo due to circumstances that have arisen after the demise of politician Baba Siddique. On October 4, we were the first ones to report that the trailer will be launched on October 7 at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in the presence of 2000 fans and journalists. A few days later, we informed readers that Singham Again’s trailer will be one of the longest ever.

And now, we bring you another exciting update about Singham Again. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The makers submitted the film to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) a few days ago. The length of the film, while submission, is nearly 150 minutes, that is, 2 hours and 30 minutes.”

The Examining Committee (EC) of the CBFC will watch the film this week and give the appropriate certification. The final length of the film depends on the cuts or additions asked by the CBFC. The source explained, “If the EC asks for any visual cut, the length of the film will reduce. If they ask for additional disclaimers to be added, the run time will increase.”

Directed by blockbuster director Rohit Shetty, Singham Again belongs to the exciting cop universe and stars Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. It releases on Diwali, that is, November 1.

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is set to begin filming his yet-untitled action thriller starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri this December. The project has created significant buzz, as it marks Bhardwaj’s reunion with Shahid Kapoor after seven years, following their collaboration in Rangoon (2017). A report by Mid-Day revealed that Shahid’s role will be based on the notorious gangster Hussain Ustara, who had a fierce rivalry with Dawood Ibrahim.

Shahid Kapoor’s Intense Preparation
To prepare for this challenging role, Shahid Kapoor has started intense combat training, necessary for the action-packed sequences that will define his character. The report quoted a source saying, “Shahid is undergoing intense combat training to match the demands of the action sequences. Equally important is understanding the mental make-up of a character like Ustara. Vishal sir has been guiding him as he delves deep into Ustara’s motivations, emotions, and mental battles.”
Triptii Dimri’s Role Hinges on Revenge
While Shahid Kapoor focuses on Ustara’s physical and psychological dimensions, Triptii Dimri, the film’s leading lady, is also hard at work. She has begun her workshops for her role, which reportedly revolves around themes of revenge. “Triptii’s role is crucial to the narrative, and her preparation involves getting into the mindset of a character-driven by vengeance,” the source added. Both actors are currently prepping individually and will start joint rehearsals closer to the shoot.
Bhardwaj’s Long-Awaited Vision
For Vishal Bhardwaj, this film has been a long-cherished dream. The director had initially envisioned a biopic on Sapna Didi, with the late Irrfan Khan playing Ustara alongside Deepika Padukone. Although that project didn’t materialise, Bhardwaj seems to have found his perfect on-screen gangster in Shahid Kapoor.

The fans who were waiting for an epic crossover of Bajirao Singham and Chulbul Pandey in Singham Again are likely to be disappointed as destiny has taken away the biggest moment of 2024. While Salman Khan was all set to shoot for his Singham Again cameo on Monday, October 14, 2024, the shoot was canceled owing to the demise of Baba Siddiqui.

“The one-day shoot was scheduled to take place at Golden Tobacco in Mumbai, however, owing to the sudden demise of Baba Siddiqui, the shoot was canceled. Rohit and Ajay then had discussions internally and felt that it would be insensitive to request Salman Khan to shoot amid all the controversy. The duo was racing against time to submit their film to the censors, and have decided to submit the film without the appearance of Salman Khan,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source further added that there is a possibility of a backshot of Chulbul Pandey in the post-credit scene, however, we are not sure if that idea has made it to the final shot or not. “Shooting with Salman, just a day or two after the death of Baba Siddiqui was insensitive. And Rohit had to submit Singham Again to the censors by Friday – October 18. That’s when they took the tough call to move on and respect the privacy of Salman Khan,” the source told us further.

For those unaware, Salman Khan had agreed to do a cameo in Singham Again out of his love of Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, however, the situation took a major U-Turn, eventually scrapping the shoot plans. If we now get a backshot of Chulbul Pandey or not – is something to discover on big screen on Diwali.

Choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife Lizelle D’Souza have found themselves at the center of a controversy after being accused of a Rs 11.96 crores fraud by a dance troupe. The couple, however, has firmly denied the allegations and urged the public and media to avoid spreading rumors until the facts are clarified.

Remo and Lizelle’s Statement on the Allegations
On Sunday, Remo and Lizelle took to their Instagram accounts to issue a joint statement in response to the viral news. They expressed their disappointment over the media reports and stressed that no concrete facts have been established. Their statement read:

“It has come to our notice through media reports that some complaint has been registered alleging fraud in regards to a certain dance troupe. It’s disheartening that such information has been published. We would like to request everyone to abstain from spreading rumours before ascertaining true facts.”

The couple also reassured their supporters that they will continue to cooperate with the authorities. “We shall put our case forward in due time and will continue to cooperate with the authorities in every way possible like we have done so far,” the statement added. In closing, they thanked their fans for their unwavering support: “We would like to thank our family, friends and fans for the outpouring of love and continuous support.”

The Rs 11.96 Crores Fraud Allegation
The accusation against Remo and Lizelle stems from a complaint filed by a 26-year-old dancer at Mira Road police station. The dancer claims that he and his troupe were cheated out of Rs 11.96 crores between 2018 and July 2024. The police have launched an investigation into the matter, and the case is currently under review.

The MHB police have registered a case against Alt Balaji Telefilm, its producer Ektaa Kapoor, and Shobha Kapoor under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Reportedly, the case stems from a Borivali court order, following a complaint filed by Swapnil Rewaji, a yoga instructor from Borivali. The complaint, initially lodged with the MHB police in 2021, alleges that obscene scenes involving minors were filmed in three web series produced by Alt Balaji, including Class of 2017 and Class of 2020.

Obscene Scenes and Allegations
The case, reportedly registered on October 18, 2024, accuses the web series of featuring inappropriate scenes involving minors, including actors dressed in school uniforms engaging in ‘lewd’ acts. The complainant, Swapnil Rewaji, claims that the content in these web series not only objectifies minors but also puts them at risk of harm due to the nature of the filming. As per reports, the FIR states that a minor girl was subjected to obscene filming and lewd communication between February and April 2021.
Legal Charges Filed
Based on the Borivali court’s directive, the MHB police have invoked multiple legal provisions, including Sections 13 and 15 of the POCSO Act, which deal with the use of children for pornographic purposes. Additionally, the case includes charges under Section 67(a) of the Information Technology Prevention Act, Section 292 of the Women Prohibition Act, Sections 293 and 295(a) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the Prevention of Cigarette and Tobacco Products Advertisement Act. These charges collectively focus on obscenity, the inappropriate portrayal of minors, and content that could be harmful to children.
Investigation Underway
As of now, the police investigation is ongoing. The authorities are looking into the allegations of obscene filming in the web series produced by Alt Balaji. However, neither Alt Balaji Telefilm nor its producers, Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, have released any official statements regarding the case. The investigation is expected to continue, with more details likely to emerge in the coming weeks.
