While Sikandar with Salman Khan is slated to release during the Eid 2025 weekend, Housefull 5 will take the big screen by storm during the Bakri Eid period. And to make the comic caper even more exciting, Sajid Nadiadwala is padding it with a very exciting star-cast.

After roping in Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan, the newest addition to the Housefull gang is Arjun Rampal. According to our sources, Arjun Rampal has come on board Housefull 5 to play a key role. “After playing the part of a brother in Housefull, Arjun Rampal returns to the franchise after 14 long years. It’s yet another serious yet funny character for Rampal and he is excited to come on board the film. When Sajid Nadiadwala approached him with the idea of Housefull 5, he jumped onto the opportunity and agreed to come on board the film,” a source told us anonymously.

The source further informed that Akshay is also excited to welcome Arjun Rampal back in the world of Housefull. For those unaware, Housefull 5 is a Housefull universe film, where all characters from the previous instalment come on board in various capacity. The film is set in a cruise and goes on floors in August 2024 with a marathon schedule in the UK.

Housefull has become the first comedy franchise to reach 5 film mark in India.

From a reality show judge to an entrepreneur to a fitness diva, Malaika Arora dons several hats. While she is loved by the paps, Malaika’s active social media handles also adds to her stardom. Starting off as a dancer, the diva now owns several lavish properties in the city of dreams Mumbai and she recently made headlines for her much loved Bandra apartment. Reports now reveal that Arora has rented out this plush flat to the costume designer Kashish Hans in a lucrative deal of approximately Rs.1.50 Lakhs per month.

As per the documents on Zapkey, the apartment, situated in Pali Hill area of Bandra West, has been leased out for an impressive sum of Rs 1.57 lakh per month for a duration of three years. Another Hindustan Times report suggest that the rental agreement, registered on April 29, 2024, also includes a provision for a 5% annual increase in rent. While the initial rent stands at Rs 1.50 lakh per month for the first year, it will be rising to Rs 1.57 lakh and Rs 1.65 lakh for the subsequent two years. It also indicates that the tenant has paid a security deposit of Rs 4.5 lakh.

However, reports also suggest that isn’t the first time Malaika Arora has opted to lease her property. A 2022 Zapkey report has revealed that the diva had leased out her flat in Casablanca Apartments in Bandra to owner of The Jeff Goldenberg Studio, Jeffrey Goldenberg, for a four-year term with the initial rent for the first year locked at Rs 1.2 lakh per month.

On the work front, Malaika Arora, who is busy with her fitness studio and other entrepreneurial ventures, also shoots for reality shows. She was recently the co-judge of the dancing reality show India’s Best Dancer, and also appeared on her son Arhaan Khan’s podcast Dumb Biryani, along with making cameos in the popular show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. She is also expected to join hands with her BFF Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karan Johar, and actor Pratik Gandhi for the reality show Star vs Food.

Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra recently posted a selfie on Instagram which left her husband and Pop star Nick Jonas in lost of words. The picture is a close-up selfie of Priyanka embracing her fresh new look.

In the picture Priyanka was seen wearing a white T-shirt and a grey blazer. She enhanced her look with a pink lipstick. To the post Priyanka captioned, “Strawberry Days alongside a few heart eyes emojis.” The global icon added the geo-tagged location as Los Angeles, California.

Getting stunned by the picture, Nick Jonas commented, “Wow. Gorgeous.” A user wrote tagging the pop star, “@nickjonas such a nice husband.” Another fan said, “@nickjonas, very lucky.” A netizen commented, “Your face card never declines.” “Pure elegance!!!” read a comment.

This not the first time Nick Jonas acted as Priyanka’s biggest cheerleader. Recently, Nick took to Instagram on Mother’s Day where he shared several pictures. He captioned it with “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and mother figures out there. I am so lucky to have been raised by such an incredible mother… and to now be married to the most amazing mom ever. You are so full of love and thoughtfulness with our daughter @priyankachopra you are such an inspiration in every way. And special shout out to the world’s greatest mother-in-law. So blessed. MM and I love the three of you so much.”

Priyanka and Nick got married on December 1 and 2 in 2018, in a Christian and Hindu ceremony in Jodhpur’s Umaid. Following the wedding, the couple hosted two receptions in Delhi and Mumbai. They announced the arrival of their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas via surrogacy on January 2022.

Priyanka has recently wrapped up with the shoot of Heads Of State an upcoming action-comedy featuring Idris Elba, John Cena and Jack Quaid alongside her as key leads. Whereas Nick is currently working on his new acting project directed by John Carney.

A recent report revealed that Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan’s relatives were among the casualties of the tragic hoarding collapse in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area on May 13, 2024. The incident, caused by powerful dust storms, resulted in the deaths of 16 people. The victims included Manoj Chansoria and his wife Anita, who were reportedly visiting Mumbai to complete visa paperwork for a trip to visit their son in the United States.

According to a report by Indian Express, Manoj Chansoria, who recently retired on March 31, was a relative of Kartik Aaryan. Their connection was confirmed by a family friend. The tragedy unfolded when Manoj and Anita stopped at a petrol pump in Ghatkopar on May 13th. Around 4:30 pm, a large billboard weighing approximately 250 tonnes collapsed due to the strong winds, striking their red SUV. 

Their son, Yash, residing in the United States, lost contact with them later that evening. Unable to reach his parents by phone, Yash contacted his father’s colleagues for help. Yash’s concern prompted Manoj’s former colleagues to involve the Mumbai Police. Using mobile network data, authorities traced the couple’s last location to Ghatkopar near the Eastern Express Highway.  

Sadly, after hours of searching, friends and colleagues found the couple deceased, trapped beneath the debris of the collapsed hoarding. Yash immediately flew back to India upon learning of his parents’ disappearance. The final rites were held at a crematorium in Sahar on Thursday.

While news of this personal tragedy emerges, Kartik Aaryan is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film, Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan. The movie, slated for a June 14 release, is a biographical sports drama based on the life of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar.

Katrina Kaif has shared a heartwarming post for her husband and actor Vicky Kaushal’s birthday. The first two pictures of the post showed Vicky wearing a white sweater pairing it with blue denims, he sat near a window looking away from camera shining a bright smile in the first image. The second image had him gazing outside the window as he held a cup in his hand. The third image was supposedly from the actor’s birthday as he was seen sitting inside a restaurant with a piece of cake alongside the words ‘happy birthday’ written on the plate next to the cake. Vicky wore a black T-shirt and pants for the little celebration. Katrina, instead of captioning the post, simply added white hearts and birthday cake emojis to show her affection towards her husband.

At the 77th Cannes Film Festival event, hosted by the Paris Film Region and WIF (Women In Film, Los Angeles), the official launch of a new Women In Film chapter was announced; WIF: India. The initiative, part of the global WIFTI (Women In Film & Television International) network, is committed to advancing gender equity in Indian screen industries and will be led by Academy Award winner and pioneering Indian producer Guneet Monga Kapoor.

WIF: India aims to bring parity and opportunities for women seeking careers in the screen industries. An advisory council of industry leaders will be assembled with representation from across India to support the programming and advocacy of WIF: India, including research, mentorship, and creative labs for Women Filmmakers. WIF: India is an independent chapter but will collaborate with Los Angeles-based WIF, which is the founding chapter of the WIFTI network.

Guneet Monga Kapoor said, “From being in rooms where male colleagues have had to communicate on my behalf so I’d be taken seriously, to leading International co-productions and studio-scale projects, I’ve seen and been actively involved in the progress over 2 decades. Yet comprehensive studies like the ‘O Womaniya! The 2023 report’ still suggests a lack of gender diversities across key filmmaking departments. The study of 156 films reported only 12% of head-of-department positions were occupied by women.”

She further adds, “Throughout its 50 years, WIF has worked to transform the culture in Hollywood by helping build the pipeline of emerging women creatives. My hope for WIF: India is to help lower the systemic barriers in accessing these jobs for women, as well as excite a new era of transformation – by offering mentorship, networking, and opening up fellowships, workshops, and an industry helpline to help sustain the careers of those currently in the industry. Women are truly the future and alongside WIF and WIF: India, we hope to tap into that limitless potential, building parity and opportunities for women seeking careers in the screen industries.”

As per a report by News18, the shoot for Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer, Ramayana is running behind the schedule. However, it is far-fetched to impact Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War also starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.

According to a source, “Ranbir will continue shooting for Ramayana and begin the prep for Love And War in the second half of August or early September simultaneously. While Alia will get busy with filming YRF’s upcoming spy thriller with Sharvari Wagh, Ranbir will dive into script reading sessions and discussions with Bhansali before beginning its shoot. Bhansali, in fact, will begin Love And War with him as the latter may reach the conclusion of the shoot of the first part of the Ramayana trilogy by November.”

The source further added that the set for the film is yet to be constructed. “The shoot of Love And War will begin in Mumbai but a set for the same is yet to be constructed. The film will have some elaborate song sequences and for the same, Bhansali is personally still in discussions with his production design team. As for Vicky, when he will join the shoot still remains unclear,” added the source.

Apart from Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and Bhansali’s Love And War, Ranbir has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal Park on his list. Although, the shoot schedule depends on when Vanga wraps the Spirit. Reports say that Ranbir will also collaborate with Vikrant Massey for the first time on Rajkumar Hirani’s next but an official confirmation for the same is yet to be out.
